Delicious cucumber gin martini made by the great Steph!
    Daryl P.

Had a great time chatting with Steph, the creative bartender always willing to strike a conversation while making sure your glass is always full. Bringing new drinks to the menu, I had the pleasure of trying out a delicious cucumber martini made with gin, elderflower and muddled cucumber on my day off. The location is large with many different options to enjoy some food while at the white marble counters to enjoy some drinks to go with your food. The food will bring you in, but Steph and her drinks will keep you here!

I visited Deco on two occasions while staying at the Hotel Du Pont. Deco is a food court on the ground level of the hotel building which features a wide variety of quick and delicious food options. On my first visit I ordered from Pizzeria Bardea and had the Prosciutto, Burrata, Fig Focaccia. The sandwich was flavorful and filling. Soft toasted Focaccia was filled with meaty salty prosciutto, creamy burrata, sweet fig, and crisp arugula. On my next visit I went to Rebel Ramen and ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen Bowl. The bowl was filled with flavorful and spicy broth filled with tender chicken, savory noodles, soft egg, and crisp veggies. The bar within the food court also had a nice selection of local craft beers and mixed drinks.

This place was cool. It had tons of options BUT they all closed kind if early. It was advertised that they close 9-10 pm. We walked down there about 8ish and many establishments had closed up shop, much to our dismay. The chicken joint was still open and serving so we ordered from there. It was OK. It was made fresh and we were hungry. I think I enjoyed the shrimp and fries the most. The oreo waffle was just fine.

This review is for the guys and gals at 10th street bbq at the pop up stall. For $15 they will send you on your way with a gut busting bbq platter. I loved the sauces (I chose the sweet and tangy house sauce and the vinegar based sauce for my brisket - both were great!). For sides I went with hush puppies and cole slaw. Both were great. The pickles and corn bread that come with every order are a nice touch as well (tasty too!). It turns you you don't have to go to Texas for good bbq.

A cool place in downtown. DECO is a good place for finding lots of new stuff. It's a food court of local pop ups. Has a variety of choices. There's plenty of indoor tables. Find plenty of cool stalls inside. It has everything from pizza to sushi and more. This is a good way finding out what kind of good food is in town. One stall has a rotating vendor so there's always something different here. The best one here is Pizzeria Bardea, which has classic wood oven fired pizzas. It has plenty of seating inside. Many things for everyone to check out. There's some that open earlier than others so try going at different times.

    Detroit pizza

Neat idea. I tried the chicken box at the chicken place which was kinda pricey for what it was. It was good but it was no raising canes. The Detroit style pizza was pretty good, I got the hot honey and took some for leftovers which was still good the next day. The tacos were the best tasting thing I had but they were so expensive. It was like 5-6 dollars per taco. The Birria and Al pastor were the two I tried and they were both really good There's foosball table to mess around with friends if you're waiting for your food to come out. Overall it's a nice concept and I see the vision but I think they can still try to make the venue a bit nicer (AC and whatnot) so that more people will come and the food can be less expensive.

The conception alone is worth 5 stars. Where else do you get a bar along with 7-8 different food options. It's a must try.

The food we had was fine. The mussles and frites were good, I would have thought the fries come with the sauce but they didn't. The risotto was slight malt under seasoned. The beet salad was really tasty! This resturant is always thorough when it comes to allergies. They have a hard time with the two server communication aspect. I've been here twice and both times they seemed one beat off from each other. Also for having two servers they don't check on you often enough. That could also be a communication/timing thing. (if you think someone else was there or not) we only ordered one drink because we didn't want to wait after we finished our food to order another. The drinks here are fantastic though. We dined for 2 hours and only was able to order one drink and apps. We probably would have enjoyed more but personally I didn't have to time sit any longer. I would give them one more try but 202 is a pain and this might not be worth the drive with so many comparable options of fine dining in Wilmington.

The bartenders are the heart of the experience. They don't just pour drinks; they create them. There's real skill and artistry behind the bar, and the conversation is as good as the cocktails. You can tell they care about balance, technique, and presentation. The Walk in the Garden gin cocktail is the perfect example: bright, layered flavors, premium ingredients, and that lavender garnish that hits your nose before the first sip. The scent alone sets the stage for the drink. It's thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what a craft cocktail should be. The food holds its own right alongside the drinks. The skillet meatballs come out tender and full of flavor, the kind of dish that disappears faster than you expect. The potato skins are crisp, satisfying, and exactly what you want with a cocktail in hand. And the homemade Baileys cheesecake is the kind of dessert you plan to share but end up guarding with your fork. It's rich without being heavy, with that unmistakable homemade touch. One of the best parts of Hummingbird to Mars is the tapas-style menu. You can eat as much or as little as you want, a couple of small plates with drinks, or a full progression from appetizers to dessert. It gives you the freedom to shape the night however you want, without committing to oversized entrées or predictable bar food. And that's the bigger point: places like this don't happen by accident. They come from creativity, risk-taking, and a commitment to doing things well. If we don't support small businesses that put this level of care into their craft, we'll be left with nothing but the same chains serving the same menus everywhere you go. Hummingbird to Mars is the antidote to that; personal, inventive, and genuinely memorable. From the first sip to the last bite, it's a place that delivers an experience, not just a night out. It's worth supporting, worth returning to, and worth celebrating.

We were greeted immediately by our server and a trainee. I ordered an old fashioned and my wife ordered a specialty cocktail. Both tasted great however, wait for the drink was excessive. The bar had an afterwork crowd and it appeared a bit understaffed. For my meal I ordered grilled octopus for a starter and I think it was one of the best I've ever had. Tender, savory with a really flavorful sauce. My wife had the Ricotta focaccia. Loved it. For dinner I had the pasta with mushroom and truffle. It was amazing. Temperature was perfect. It was hot, creamy and amazingly flavorful. My wife had the bream fish dish. She enjoyed that as well. For dessert we had the almond/chocolate tort. Very nicely warmed with a rich chocolate flavor to end the meal. I'll be back for sure.
