Came to Chicago O'Hare for a conference. A quick 10 min Uber from O'Hare which was nice, dropped off and entered on the ground floor. It's not super obvious but you go up the escalators/stairs to check in on the second floor. Check in went fairly quickly and there's water in the check in area. Assigned a room on the 10th floor and glass elevators moved quickly. Hotel rooms all face inside; similar to a Embassy Suites. The room was clean and spacious but the toilet has a foot flush pedal which was a little weird. Hotel is also undergoing some renovations so perhaps it will be different in the upcoming year. This was a nice conference venue but not too much else. It's pretty far from downtown (1+ hour in traffic, 25 min without). There isn't a ton of casual seating space like I've seen in other Hyatts but there is some general spaces and coffee shop market with tables. Didn't spend much time in the bar area but it's pretty central and seemed like it was pretty active there every night. read more

I stayed at this hotel for five nights while attending school, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. During my stay, the building experienced a water outage that lasted an entire day. This meant there was no running water in my room, making it impossible to shower, use the restroom normally, or prepare for class. At the time, I was also dealing with personal health needs that made the lack of running water especially difficult from a basic hygiene standpoint. Not having access to water during that situation was extremely stressful and uncomfortable, particularly while trying to stay focused on my academic responsibilities. I had to reach out to management to address the issue and request a room change. While they did move me to another room, the situation was not handled proactively, and no assistance with moving my belongings was offered until I asked. In a hospitality setting, I expected more support during a disruption like this. After my stay, Candace from the hotel reached out and added 8,000 World of Hyatt points to my account, which I do appreciate. However, I replied to provide additional context on how significantly the outage impacted my stay and never received a response to my final email, sent on February 13, 2026. The lack of follow-up communication after that point was disappointing, and it adds to my experience with this company. I've had positive experiences with Hyatt properties in the past, which is why this stay stood out negatively. I hope the hotel improves both guest support during unexpected issues and communication afterward when guests raise concerns. read more

Stolen, cheated, and lied to. For weeks. I have been in the dumbest, most infuriating battle with @HyattOHare for weeks now. I am at my wit's end, so I'm reviving my twitter just to warn everyone how badly they fucked up and how stubborn and greedy they've been since. I get to the hotel on the day we agreed on. Suddenly, somehow, they don't have a record of it. They check and check and check, and somehow they don't have a record of this extra day. Anywhere. Nothing. Fine. Plans thrown into chaos, but I can deal with it. Whatever. After the stay. A mysterious charge that's exactly the amount they quoted me for the extra day. Call them. Email them. Explain everything 100 times, climb up the corporate support ladder. They all say the same thing. You didn't show up and you didn't check in. No show fee. It has been weeks of back and forth. This hotel somehow can't keep their records straight, can't admit a mistake, and have run off with my money. Hyatt, fix this, or I'm done with you. I spent the evening at this hotel for The PhD Project Conference in March, and this is a lovely hotel. The staff member that checked me in was super nice, friendly, and helpful (I believe her name was "Kiarra"). The hotel lobby was beautiful. I loved the sitting area and there's a restaurant and Starbucks inside. I also loved that the hotel was literally approximately 10 minutes from the airport. The gentlemen the drove the shuttle on my away to and from the hotel were also very nice. My room was clean and spacious. Although, I was in time for a brief visit, when I return to Chicago I will likely book here because, I appreciated the accommodations. I highly recommend staying here. read more

Location of the hotel is very close to the airport. They also provide free shuttle back-and-forth, which was superb and very convenient. Check in was very easy and professional. Hotel has a very interesting design because there were four elevators at the center and then you take a bridge to rooms located all four corners of the hotel. Elevators were super fast and nice. Rooms were nice, modern and clean. However, during April 2026 they were fixing sixth and seventh floors so there were a lot of daytime noise. Hopefully they'll complete it soon and hotel will be a nice one. They have a coffee shop. I used several times and it was very good. TV has good channels. Internet works fine. Only thing room was missing full mirror. I did not park my car, but I think they charge for parking. read more

I booked a room with a king bed. Very simple. One night, one room. At check in the nice woman said "I can give you a complimentary upgrade - we are doing a remodel of one wing...yada yada, whatever. Great. Go up to the room - two doubles. My wife and I are not small people. I called the front desk "hey, I booked a room with a king bed." The woman says, "well, just because you booked online...doesn't mean it will be available when you check in." Whaaa? That's not right. That's called a 'bait and switch' and that's against the law. "Well, she said, there is a room on the 11th floor but you have to walk up some stairs." Um, no. We are in our 60s with uncooperative knees and a bunch of luggage. $250 a night and we're at the Hyatt and we have to use stairs to get to our room? No. We canceled the reservation for the following Sunday. It feels like another swipe at Expedia customers. 1/2 the time we are treated like trash because we booked through them. Like "oh...Expedia...yeah, your room is between the elevator and the ice machine off the parking garage. Sorry, no hot water." Not staying here ever again. read more

This is an interesting hotel, and I know I've been here several times. Every single time I've been here, it has been for some Medical device conference. In fact, that's why I'm here right now. Must be something in the water, who knows? Anyway, it's incredibly easy to get here from Chicago International Airport (ORD). Basically, you hop on the Blue Line and go one stop. It could not be any easier. The hotel staff is nice, there's a really good breakfast buffet, a couple of on-site restaurants, and I think there's a Starbucks on the main level as well. And then, of course, it's definitely designed for conferences. You've got multiple levels, tons of breakout rooms, and a huge presentation theater. Clearly they had that sort of thing in mind when this was designed. read more

I stayed here for 4 nights in late October 2024. This is an excellent hotel, connected by a free 24-hour shuttle bus service from the airport. The lobby is beautiful, the front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and there is a restaurant, bar, and cafe on site. My room was very comfortable and clean. It didn't have much of a view (not that I needed one), but it was spacious and reset by housekeeping every time I left the room for the day so it was a great feeling to walk into a perfectly made room every day. The walk to the train is possible but lots of heavy traffic, big main roads, and narrow sidewalks. Not recommend at night but daytime you'd be okay. read more

One of my worst hotel experiences in a while. I was staying here for a conference. Their parking is $45 for guests. Internet was hard to connect to in the conference room and in the guest rooms. When I asked for them to fix the wifi, they wanted me to wait on the phone with IT and troubleshoot. Ridiculous. But that wasn't even the worst part. There were spiders in the room! So gross! I called guest services to come and could not reach them for over 20min. The phone just kept ringing and mind you this around 9pm. So then I went down to front desk and stood about another 20min in their checkin line because there were no other staff that could help. It was just such poor service and clearly not managed well. Ironically, there was a Hyatt company meeting there at the time, but there wasn't enough staff at the front desk. read more

What a classy hotel. We got upgraded to a super nice room. One of the nicer ones I have ever stayed in. It has a downstairs foyer, bathroom, dining room, office space, and lounge area with a giant tv. There is an iron circular staircase that leads up to the super nice bedroom with a giant bed and fluffy pillows with floor to ceiling windows offering views of Chicago and the airport. There is an additional bathroom and entrance upstairs. The service from everyone was top notch. They even stored our frozen Giardinos and Lou Malnotii's Chicago deep dish pizzas we are taking back home with us. The breakfast buffet was fresh, expansive, and filling. They have a free shuttle that takes and picks you up from the hotel to the terminal at the airport you are arriving/departing from. They also had fresh baked cookies when you check in. This is our go to place to stay at when arriving/ departing Chicago. read more

One of the better hotels near O'Hare. It's nicely designed, well lit, and offers free parking. There are also some restaurants / bars onsite and a gym. Rooms are pretty small (and the shower is even smaller), but have everything you need. What would make it five stars is a bit friendlier / more welcoming staff at the reception and housekeepers coming after the check out time (most hotels don't send housekeeping on the day of your departure). read more

I enjoyed my stay. I was able to check in early and I got a king room on the second floor conveniently near the fitness center . It was a good fitness center that had a decent amount of equipment . The showers water pressure was good . The room service menu looked a little limited but you can always door dash. Hotel staff was accommodating. It had a modern feel which I like. Conveniently connected to the convention center (it was a long walk but I guess at least you'd get your steps in) I wouldn't recommended wearing heels on the long walk from this hotel to the convention center. Travel hiccups are never fun. On my way back from Italy, I got stranded in Chicago. British Airways put me up at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago for the night. Located close to the airport, they have an airport shuttle. It took quite a while for the shuttle to arrive which was frustrating given the situation I was in. I ended up waiting close to 45 minutes but the shuttle ultimately came. It's supposed to arrive more frequently but luckily, I had no problems when I used the shuttle to return to the airport the next day. The Hyatt is a nice hotel with a large, open atrium in the lobby. They have both a sit-down restaurant and a bar. I tried both and they exceeded my expectations for hotel food. The rooms are also nice. Clean and comfortable. And with the largest TV I've ever seen at a hotel. Definitely a nice touch! All of the amenities are there for a lovely stay if you're trying to be close to the airport in Rosemont. Given my situation, it was a much better experience than I thought it would be. Check in took a little while since there was a line but check out was a breeze. read more

It's located right around the corner from the convention center close by to several very good restaurants as well as a Fashion Outlet Mall. The employees were quite friendly and helpful. The bedding is very good and I really like their shower products. Pricing is usually medium to slightly higher than typical hotels and the overall feel is nice. I would happily choose this hotel again when I'm in the area. The bar is great and I really like the arrival area. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel but far better than any 3 star. read more

O'Hare Airport is chaotic, but staying at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare always gives me calm after the storm. I love how stepping into the lobby feels like a breath of fresh air. The hotel shuttle is literally at the airport all the time. It is always there when I land, which is a huge plus for someone like me who hates waiting. I think it comes every 15 minutes, but I am lucky to catch it after I leave the airport. The hotel is large and they seem to have a couple wings. I was in the premium tower and found the room to be very large. I loved the sleek amenities. The TV was huge which made movie nights feel extra luxurious. There is a nice gym on the lobby floor as well that kept me fit. The staff is very nice as well. I met a colleague next door at Morton's Steakhouse which is a 5 minute walk if you are looking for something outside the hotel. Also, if you are taking the Blue Line from Downtown, it is a quick 10 minute walk from the station to the hotel. read more

Several rooms, a large auditorium/ballroom, ample tables and comfy lounge seating, modern decor, good bars and food service, large and very clean ladies restroom, and conveniently close to the convention center (with a skyway connection) if needed. My review is mainly for the Flashback Weekend convention that was here. I like coming here because the convention is a lot more spacious with plenty of room to walk around. I prefer this over the Crowne Plaza that hosts the Days of the Dead convention. Way too crowded. The line for registration moved at a moderate pace, not too slow. Staff was friendly. If you want food, they did have a buffet upstairs in the main lobby as well as a shop downstairs. Parking, you can park at their main garage or park at the Parkway Bank Park garage across from the Donald E Stephens center. $15. If you do park at the Parkway Bank Park garage, do yourself a favor and use the skywalk to get to the Hyatt Regency O' Hare. Your body will thank you if it's 90 degrees outside. read more

I had to stay here for a conference so I couldn't just leave, or I absolutely would have after the second night. The room is half the size of the one in the photos on their website. The bed is not comfortable. But the thing that I can't understand, is there's no blanket for the bed. No comforter. It's literally just sheets. When I asked for a blanket, they brought the thinnest piece of fabric and it had holes in it. I asked if they had anything thicker on their text message service and they said no. I called the front desk to verify and they said they'd send up a comforter. 30 minutes passed and nothing, so I called again and this person said that was "pretty much all we have". So no one was ever coming up again and they didn't bother to tell me. He said he'd "try to send something else". It's 10pm. So I have to spend five days here with just sheets on the bed. I know, first world problems, but this place is expensive as hell. And wait, there's more. The following day, I get a text message after 7pm from management asking me if I want to change rooms because the next day the water will be turned off from 7am-5pm. They said they would "upgrade me"--they moved me from a king bed to two singles. I was looked at like I was a Karen from the front desk staff for requesting blankets again for this room when I found it also only had sheets, and that's after the manager Joseph guaranteed that he would make sure there were blankets in the room. I know what you're thinking, I must've been a jerk about it--I really, really wasn't. I work in service. I would never. I was just cold, man. And I spent the next four nights cold, as they never did provide me with a comforter. The manager paid for a drink for me at their hotel bar, which I appreciate, but I'm not sure how a $10 drink is supposed to compensate for no blankets in a hotel room in Chicago in the winter. I will say this, Kareem, the bell hop, was delightful, and the servers at the hotel bar were very kind. Every single other employee I encountered was rude as hell. Oh! And I almost forgot, the walls are PAPER THIN. I heard every single word my neighbor said. I mean, I heard everything. Even when they were talking quietly I could understand what they were saying. The first time that I stayed here I stayed for two nights visiting my father, who was in Chicago from Los Angeles on business. I had been staring at this hotel for years before that, intrigued by its four rounded copper-finished 14 story glass wings which made the hotel look like a rocket ship, flanked on three sides by the nearby airport terminals. I've always loved airports. The roar of the 747 jet engines. Bright yellow Taxicabs dodging through the heavy traffic trying to get a customer to their flight. And most of all I like the thick, fuel-laden air, smelling sweet and pungent, reminding me that I had many more flights ahead of me in my life. My father chose the Hyatt Regency O'Hare because it was famous for it's novel architecture, it had a great Lobby Bar for meetings, and there was a pool & spa for me while he was working. But most of all he got a special price for booking two rooms, and there was a small conference room with a video projector so he could show his client one of his short films, and also do a sit-down reading of the screenplay he was trying to sell. And lastly, the hotel had multiple kitchens, including a 'round the clock' coffee shop, a good restaurant, bar-snacks and burgers offered in the Bar-Lounge, and a room service menu available well into the night. And we ate at pretty much all of them, because the Hyatt Regency O'Hare was adjacent to the airport where there were very few eating options outside of some nearby fast-food places, some Strip-Clubs, a local German Bierstube next to the Bavarian Cemetery, and the restaurant at the Playboy Club in the Hilton O'Hare, located in the center of the Airport itself, with bridges leading to each of the terminals (including the "pocketbook terminal", because parking at the airport was really expensive). But we went to the Playboy Club anyway. The next time that I was here it was for a Horror Movie Convention, which was fun. However, for this first sojourn at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare with my father, it was a great little 48 hour mini-vacation. read more

I was at the hotel from Thursday 1/1/26 to Sunday 1/4/26, and realized I lost my Nissan key fob on Sunday when I was leaving the hotel. A Nissan key fob was found at the first location I went to in the hotel and tuned in to the hotel by someone I know on Thursday. When I spoke to a manager, Anna she said it wasn't a Nissan key fob. I have been trying to reach the hotel. I spoke to Savana in sales that said she would email Anna, I didn't receive a response. I also registered with I left my stuff and contact them. They also sent an email to multiple people at the hotel, still no response. It's like they don't care about their guest. Once they were paid for stay AND I paid $200 to get a new key fob and left I'm treated like I don't matter. I can't put in words how let down and discarded I feel. It's a shame as well because I belong to a group that holds conventions there at least twice a year. I don't feel welcomed there at all. I've basically begged them for help with no reply. read more

This hotel holds so many memories that will last a lifetime and I always look forward to coming here every year. This hotel is beautiful inside and out and it's located next to ORD Airport. It's the Suite life for me. I realized my last review was pre covid, and boy things have changed since. We still frequent this hotel and we have also moved up to Globalist in the Hyatt system. About every time we stay here we now stay in their Panorama suites which are in their corner towers top two floors. They are two story with the living area on the bottom floor and the bedroom on the top floor. The Regency Club is no longer open so free breakfast is part of the club privileges these days. The service is still amazing and the hotel is always kept clean and smelling good. This is a great place for conferences and even if their is a big conference happening while you are their you don't feel crowded as their layout pushes people from the core of the building.\ Don't forget their Park, Stay and Fly deal. Ten nights of parking for one night of stay on the front end or the back end but you have to call to arrange. We just got back from a three week trip where we parked our car and it was a breeze and our car was safe and inside. This will continue to be one of our mainstays in our list of hotels around the country. It is a little dates but kept up very well. read more

There are a few things I really look for in a hotel... good sleep and a good gym... I don't have to be too fancy. Every time I am here, sleep is important and I don't seem to have a lot of time. What I have noticed is due to the proximity to the airport, certain sides of the building are noisier than the others. Not necessarily Hyatt's fault and they do provide alarm clocks that produce white noise. But, a few times sleep was a priority and it was noisy... so beware if you are a light sleeper. Gym! They have a great gym that I take full advantage of when I stay here. So that is definitely a way this hotel wins me over. On a side note, I really like the open interior with all the cement work. It is eclectic and cool, something different instead of dragging your bag down long boring, carpeted hallways. If I remember correctly, this design has won several architectural awards. read more

Abundant during the busy hours too. Cleaning was good and thorough. Didn't disturb my tech either. YMMV. The smaller king rooms were sufficient for our purposes. They do have a larger option. Plan for a sparse selection of meals. There are locations around it to serve. Will be back! read more

You would think with proximity to the airport and a desire to cater to business travelers there would be reliable wifi, but it's atrocious. I was on the third floor in the atrium area and it was as bad as dial up if not worse. For being a major player in the industry they should have outstanding internet service in all rooms. Even though I only got 2 bars of service on my phone it was faster for me to tether to it than use their provided wifi. It's not 2003 anymore, they really need to update things. They also have really outdated bathrooms, industrial style toilets, showers that leak, and holes in the carpet. For $166 a night I'd expect it at least to not have threadbare spots on the carpets and holes in the wall. Do better. read more

Hyatt Regency O'Hare is located about five minutes from O'Hare airport in Rosemont, Illinois. If you do not care for the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago, this is a perfect lodging option. The hotel offers complimentary 24-hour transportation to and from the airport. The time from baggage check to the hotel was about twenty minutes utilizing their shuttle. Our stay was in a king bed "fitness" room. The fitness designation adds an exercise bike, a yoga pad and extra water for your room during your stay. The hotel has several on site restaurants. The O'H American Grill provides a daily breakfast buffet with omelets for around twenty dollars, The Red Bar and Lounge provides dinner from a set menu. There are numerous shopping malls and restaurants within a ten-minute walk of the hotel. There is also a covered and heated skybridge that connects the hotel to several parking garages, a convention center, and hotels in the area. For trips into Chicago, the CTA Blue Line is within walking distance and can be viewed from the hotel. Overall, I was very pleased with our stay here. Service requests were completed quickly, and everyone was friendly and attentive. The taste and quality of food from the restaurants was above average. The only negative aspect of the stay are the small showers in the King room. I will definitely stay here when I return. read more

Pretty nice hotel with nice amenities like the gym, market/starbucks, and the red bar but the smell in the room, and in the hallway leading to the room was bad, (especially in the room) it was almost unbearable cause it smelled like old moldy carpet. Didn't affect us much because we smelled it and pretty much stayed out for most of the stay but every time we came back my girlfriend and I literally said "damn it smells like mold in here". read more

So this rating is strictly for the O'H American Grill buffet station. I was in the hotel this weekend due to a convention that took place in the Hyatt and Donald E Stephens Convention Center. It was fairly busy and the Hyatt offered a buffet accessible to convention goers and guests. When we got to the buffet, we were at the tail end of a cycle, so food was cold, some of the food containers were empty, and it could've been not appetizing to picky folks. But, knowing how buffets work, I waited for the next cycle minutes later and the food was pretty good. Fish fillet was pretty good when cooked fresh, burgers flew off the table, potatoes were tasty, and the vegetables were steamed well. I hope any patrons that come here give the staff some leeway on food temp and cycle. They seemed to be overwhelmed by the number of guests compared to the number of staff.
