We visited families and decided to book the hotel at Hyatt Regency Orange County, which is near Disneyland and other great places. The staff are great very attentive when you first arrived and made the stay. We also attended the Pokemon Showcase even there, which was well organize, free entry btw, I was able to meet new people and meet up with friends as well.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Orange County during our midweek getaway to Disneyland from 1/7/26 to 1/9/26. I received some advice from a few friends who visit Disneyland on a frequent basis and we ended up choosing this hotel. With the both of us working and my LTP focusing on his second bachelor's degree, we haven't found the time to travel these past couple of months, and Disneyland was the perfect opportunity for us to take some time off from our respective jobs and school. This was the fourth Hyatt property I've stayed at; the first three being in Honolulu, HI, Long Beach, CA, and Denver, CO. Room stayed in: 1407, an executive king suite with a view of the lobby. We had booked a normal king room online but we got an upgrade for just $20 extra when we checked in. Pros: +Plenty of restaurant choices on hotel property if you don't feel like driving anywhere +Shuttle to Disneyland available on the :15 and the :45 every hour (no service between 10:45am-11:15am and 7:45pm-8:15pm, however) +Comfortable bed +Quick check in and check out +Starbucks downstairs (my closest coffee option) +Great shower pressure +Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available (although I bought my own from home lol) +Vanity kit available +Free Wi-Fi +Streaming services available through your phone, laptop, or tablet +Beautiful lobby Cons: -Self parking and valet rates are expensive It was a little on the pricey side; then again, it's near Disneyland. But I loved the Hyatt and we had a great stay.

If you are looking for an affordable hotel for your Disneyland trip with good amenities, this is your place! We visited this hotel over Thanksgiving for my mom's 70th birthday. Despite being busy, the hotel staff and accommodations were delightful and really made this a special experience. Hyatt Regency Orange County really impresses upon entry, with a stunning atrium. I was a bit nervous about the room since I had heard that half of the hotel is not yet renovated. This was a non-issue, as our room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also amazing. Providing fresh squeezed Orange juice every morning and stocking unlimited smoked salmon in their buffet were just a couple of things that led this breakfast to far exceed our expectations. Particularly in the Disneyland area, where many hotels charge outrageous prices and have below standard amenities, this place is a breath of fresh air. Highly highly recommend.

This location is perfect if you're planning a day at Disneyland. They offer shuttle service to and from Disneyland for $12. The hotel had everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and pleasant to deal with. We didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants, but they do offer a breakfast buffet at the lobby restaurant. The bar & grill is open until midnight if you're looking for a drink and bar food , appetizers, burgers, sandwiches etc. They also have an ice cream shop, deli, arcade, gift shop and Starbucks. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. hotel common areas were all well maintained, and the cleaning crew does their job well. Outside was a nice size pool , jacuzzi, pickleball courts, basketball court, fire pit and a gym. They also have movie night at 8pm at the pool with free popcorn. Thought that was a nice touch for hotel guests. Definitely I will pick this location for a future trip.

$20 destination fee includes an F&B credit... as long as you have the secret coupon. I went to guest services a few minutes after checking in, and the kind sir retrieved a card listing the amenities and services which enhance the guest experience from the stack of cards right in front of the other kind sir--the same person who checked us in. Apparently part of the "enhanced guest experience" is a scavenger hunt. Later that night, I got beverages from the deli. The next morning I asked about the credit and was told it only works if you physically hand over the coupon at checkout. Coupon? What coupon? The card was a coupon?!? So unfortunately, that night's beverages were just a "learning experience" instead of a credit. I even tipped a dollar... so I essentially fully funded my own F&B credit. I thought my room key, reservation, and standing in the hotel deli at 10:30 p.m. might've been enough proof that I was, in fact, a guest. ‍

First of all, staff are very responsive when you text. I reached out prior to my arrival and got helped. I checked in late at night after visiting Disneyland. This hotel is not a far drive from Disneyland. The parking lot is secured with a gate which is good because the area around it is sketchy. The hotel lobby is inviting and welcoming. The staff however aren't as welcoming. I received an upgrade before I arrived to a kids suite. The room was perfect with a full bunk on the bottom and a twin on top. The room itself looks outdated. It didn't bother me. It has many glass windows and being on the top floor the view was great except the windows need to be washed. The pool area and tennis courts look run down. It really needs an overhaul. The hotel is showing it's age.

The fact that I even have to leave 1 star just to get this read is ridiculous. My partner and I lost our home due to a fire on Monday March 30th,2025. We went to the Hyatt searching for shelter and comfort during a time of much uncertainty. My partner and I of course were respectful to all the staff. Everyone from Justin at the front desk helping us check in and get the perfect room to Johnny helping us park our car. To Evan, the bellhop delivering the belongings we had left to our name. The next morning we went to the pool to try and relax but were met with security guards asking if we were okay. Everyone was fine, what wasn't fine was the next couple hours of my partner walking around asking "what's the problem?" While his hands were relaxed behind his back. Steve, Richard and "Jesus Christ" proceeded to intimidate my partner, ultimately leading them to push him back against an elevator door. Richard put his hands on my partner not once but twice. We left knowing we did nothing wrong, even respecting the police that were eventually called to waste more tax payers time and money. After leaving, paying our final bill of $224.82 for our one nights stay, I was charged $1000 for a "tv damage" despite never turning the television on or having it on when we arrived which allegedly that is the Hyatt protocol for all the cleaning staff to check and leave on for the next guest. Gladis, Amanda, Steve and all of corporate Hyatt: do what is right, terminate the $1000 charge to people who did nothing wrong and have nothing left but love to give.

Furthest Hyatt if the Disney Hyatt's but also the cleanest, resort grade location of the Hyatts. They have a shuttle to Disneyland. Very clean, very nice hotel with tall ceilings in the lobby so you feel fancy. They're all decked out for Christmas right now. There are two pools on different sides of the hotel. If you're looking for the hot tub. It's at the side of the hotel where the Starbucks is located.

This was hands down one of our favorite Hyatt's to stay at. The lobby inside is designed just beautifully making it look like you are looking at the outside of hotel building inside. Lobby was spacious and had lots of different seating areas to rest, wait, or hangout. There is a large free parking lot and is about 5 minute drive to Disneyland. Hyatt also provides a cheap $7 shuttle service to and from Disneyland per day. What a steal. The staff were all helpful and always looked to be available at all hours that I could tell. The outside valet parking area has one of the best designed road/street. I forgot to take a picture of it from our room. Great size room and loved that includes a bath tub, great to have to bathe our 15 month old. They offer Pharmacopia products for shower and shampoo, conditioner- my favorite brand. We vacation in LA and couple times a year and we think this will be our go to spot from now on in this area, especially when going to Disneyland.

Good hotel near Disneyland. Shuttle is $7 for the day and loops around every 30 minutes. Rooms are a bit dated and the carpet looks old. Otherwise still a solid venue with tons of food options and a good gym. Room is big and spacious. Staff are fun and professional. Decent sized pool.

Check in was at 4 pm so I stayed in my son's room til then and went down to the front desk and there was no line and I was offered a free upgrade to a king suite in the North Tower! That was great news as we were in the same tower as our son and his family. The suite was spacious with plenty of closet and drawer space, a living room with small sofa, bottled water at $4 a piece, bath/shower combo, towel rack, microwave and refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, ironing board and iron, extra blankets, safe, everything you need. We didn't use the bottled water as we brought empty water bottles to fill at the hotel water dispensing machines located neR the ice maker on each floor and in the lobby near the North Tower. The fitness center had towels, earphones, sanitary wipes, machines, free weights, balls, stability and bosu ball so I felt at home. All in all a comfortable stay in the hotel as the staff is friendly.

Hyatt Regency Orange County Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Hyatt Regency Orange County

Do they have laundry facility on site?

No, but there is a laundromat less than a mile away heading east on Chapman. They can do laundry via third party but you will have to pay a premium price.

Free breakfast buffet? If so, what time is it open? Thanks

Easy way to remember, Hyatt House and Hyatt Place have free breakfast, any Regency and Grand Hyatts are not free.

Do you have actual cribs? Not pack and plays.

Yes. You can specify that you want a crib, not a pack and play.

Can you take the Art shuttle from this hotel to Disneyland?

They have a deaignated shuttle bus that goes directly from the hotel to Disneyland. You just need to purchase tickets at the kiosk near the north tower elevators.

How long is the shuttle ride to Disneyland? And how many stops did it have to make? Looking for convenience and quick trip to the park.

No stops and takes no more than 10 minutes depending on traffic. Great location!

Is there a microwave in the rooms?

There are microwaves in the suite rooms.

Do I pay for parking every time I enter/leave parking lot?

Just pay for the whole day and u can still enter and leave freely

Is there coin-op laundry inside this hotel or very nearby? Thank you!

No coin-op or self laundry in the hotel but they offer laundry services.

    Do they have Tesla chargers?

I'm honestly not sure! Maybe they did upgrade it though

Are you able to bring outside guests/family into the pool?

    Yes

Can you cut theu the grand californian to make the walk to disneyland shorter?

    You can - yes.

How much is their deposit per day?

$50 incidentals per night. It will be returned during check-out.

What time does the hotel bar close? What time does the pool close? Thanks!

The bar closes at 12am every night, last call is at 11:45pm. Both pools close at 10pm. Also, the gym is open 24/7.

How much a parking ? Is parking removed from your daily deposit or is it separate?

Parking is removed from your daily deposits, yes.

How much is it for breakfast buffet? And what time is check in? I've tried looking the answer in the website but I had no luck what so ever!

The Breakfast Buffet is now $35 per person.

Is there fridges in every room?

You can call down to the Front Desk and Housekeeping will provide you with a fridge, upon availability. (I work there)

Is the in room coffeemaker a Keurig type or a standard drip type?

My room had the Keurig type from what I recall.

Is the free shuttle actually free or do you need to pay a fee? Thanks!

No the shuttle is not free. For two kids and two adults for 3 days it was $54 so very reasonable.

How quiet/loud is this hotel? Can you hear the Disneyland fireworks? Is it pretty quiet at night or can you hear doors closing and people talking? I'm a light sleeper and get woken up easily :(

I never heard fireworks but you can hear people next door. There was an AAU basketball tournament and we had teenage kids staying next to us. They didn't make a lot of noise but you could certainly hear them. Luckily they went to sleep before…

We arrived just before sunset, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The rooftop has glass panels all around, so you have an unobstructed view of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure while you're enjoying dinner. Then, at 9:30, the fireworks started. Watching the sunset fade into the Disney fireworks while enjoying dinner on the rooftop was honestly one of the most magical experiences of the trip. It was worth every penny. So if you're celebrating something special, planning a romantic getaway, or just want to treat yourself to a luxury Disneyland experience, The Westin Anaheim is an incredible choice. It's definitely a splurge--but if you're looking to feel a little bougie, relax in luxury, and create an unforgettable Disney memory, you won't regret staying here.

When I arrived, the concierge remember me (and my son) from our visit last year. That impressed me! The room was comfortable as always. It was also large and comfortable. This hotel has one of the best fitness centers that I've ever had at a hotel. Only a few very high-end hotels have ever come close. The property is also in close proximity to tons of attractions for the kiddos. Love the property and the staff are awesome. Will definitely be back again!

The hotel is relatively modern and has been maintained extremely well. Rooms have consistently been very clean, and there are a surprising number of configurations designed for larger families. Depending on the room, you'll find bunk beds, separate sleeping areas, and layouts that give mom and dad at least some separation from the kids at the end of the day. That's harder to find around Disneyland than it should be, particularly within the Hilton portfolio. The lobby is large, bright, and airy, with plenty of seating, a good snack/market area, and Disney+ seemingly always playing for the kids. The complimentary breakfast is the typical Homewood Suites buffet, but the breakfast area itself is enormous. It gets very busy in the morning--as you'd expect at a Disneyland hotel--but we've generally been able to find somewhere to sit even during the rush. The pool is OK. Nothing particularly special, but perfectly adequate for letting the kids burn off whatever energy Disneyland somehow failed to extract from them. Service has consistently been friendly and helpful. The property is also surprisingly easy to get in and out of for a hotel this busy. Two elevators keep things moving reasonably well, and multiple exits provide quick access to different parts of the parking lot. Parking is gated and does carry an additional fee, which is worth factoring into the room rate. Disneyland is walkable from the hotel, although I'd put an asterisk next to "walkable." With school-age kids it's very manageable; with toddlers or younger children, the distance becomes considerably less appealing--particularly at the end of a long park day. The location also works well for travelers who aren't visiting Disneyland, as the Anaheim Convention Center is very close. For families, especially loyal Hilton members, this is an outstanding option. There are hotels closer to the parks and certainly hotels with better pools or more upscale amenities, but very few combine the room configurations, cleanliness, breakfast setup, location, and family-friendly common areas as well as this one. While we are moving out of the stage of life where this may be the case, for our previous trips with kids ranging from 2-8, it's served our family, extremely well. -AC

Like the previous Homewood suite we stayed at, the dishwasher was very old and rusted, bathroom area could have used some cosmetic repairs.
