Unfortunately this will be our last time staying at the Solara. The room was dirty , surface wiped and had roaches dead and alive in the rooms . Fridge was leaking , shower drain backed up if you stayed in for 10+ minutes . When we told the front desk about the roach , she said "sorry". So we had to kill it and dispose ourselves . When she offered us a new room she asked how long we would take to move out because she had to close up the other room. Mind you it was after midnight with a child . Like what??? All around an uncomfortable, dirty stay. Rooms were definitely not throughly cleaned between guests . I don't know when the last time the floor was ever mopped. I want my money back but I've tried resolving these issues with Solara directly and with Booking. Com but neither has responded to me. I don't recommend a stay here . I normally don't leave reviews. However, I hope to save other families from the nightmare we recently experienced at our stay with Solara Inn & Suites in Anaheim. During our stay, we discovered a significant roach infestation throughout the room. They were found crawling on the walls, around the television, on the bed where my family slept, & on towels provided by the hotel. The infestation was so severe that it rendered the room unfit for occupancy & deprived my family of the safe, clean, & sanitary accommodations we paid for & reasonably expected. We decided to end our trip and leave immediately after discovering the roaches. To add, we have substantial evidence of our claims. After speaking with management. We were offered to switch rooms. However, we understandably declined after losing trust in the hotel after this incident. To conclude, were offered half of a 1 night stay out of the 3 nights. This was unacceptable considering what we went thru. Please spare your family of possibly taking these roaches home & Stay elsewhere. read more

When we started planning our Disneyland trip, I figured we'd have to stay at a really far Airbnb again. Fortunately, we discovered the Solara Inn and Suites. We arrived around lunchtime on our first day and check-in was a breeze. We headed to our room on the second floor and I was immediately impressed. It's not a huge room but it had everything we needed, especially strong air conditioning and two relatively comfortable beds. Even better, the hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the parks. Nice! And, as an added bonus, we were able to see the Disneyland fireworks from the Solara's parking lot! (Just don't expect to sleep before 10:00; they're incredibly loud.) read more

This hotel wasn't bad..easy check in. Bed was comfy. Our room had a mini fridge and microwave. The hotel has a pool but we didn't have time to swim, it looked clean. Very close to Shakeys pizza which was nice. We walked and it took us about 15-20 minutes max to get to disneyland. Just a short walk over the freeway overpass and your basically there. Nothing fancy but good price for what you get especually if just going to be sleeping. I would consider staying again. read more

Located about 10 minutes north from Disneyland, this hotel is on the edge of the resort corridor. In fact, I would wager it is the edge, because any further down Harbor is kind of dark. The signage out front makes it easy to find and unlike anything directly around the resort, there's a ton of parking! We checked in easily and there are basics available to purchase in the lobby until 11PM. There's also a liquor store up the street, but we did not head that way. If you're into old school pizza, Shakey's pizza is a little walk south. Yum. The rooms are comfortable and seem recently redone. Bedding was all new, the amenities seemed refreshed. It was a comfortable room for the 12 hours we were there. They do have a pool, and guest laundry. I would say the only thing that was a negative was the fireworks from Disney are so loud it sounds like a war zone. The way our room was situated made everything echo so every boom echoed and was overly exaggerated. My husband has PTSD from serving overseas and that was unexpectedly loud and disconcerting for him. A warning would have been appreciated, along with the time at check-in, or maybe posted in the room. Aside from that, this is a decent property for the price we paid through Expedia. read more

All in all a decent place to just crash after Medieval Times. I got a crazy good deal on the rooms and it was clean, comfortable, modern, plenty of USB outlets, lots of FREE parking which is a rarity for any places remotely close to Disneyland. Only negatives are that our upstairs neighbors were stomping around early in the morning and woke us up. Also they charge a $100 per room deposit which i thought was a bit steep considering the price point of this place. There is a pool but no jacuzzi. You're also about a mile away (and over the freeway) from the main gate walkway into Disneyland. If I were going to Disneyland i would likely stay somewhere closer to the walkway (after a long day at Disneyland the last thing you want is a mile walk back to your hotel). It was a quick drive to Downtown Disney the next day so it worked well for our purposes! read more

This hotel purposefully overbooked their rooms, and when we came back from a day at the park to check in *for a change in reservations that they assured us in the morning was all set* we were told that they sold our room to someone else because it was "first come first served". This was outlined nowhere in their policy, and we were met with a shoulder shrug and absolutely no help. We had to rebook another room at midnight just to have a place to stay. This is incredibly shady, infuriating, and unacceptable. I hate even being someone to leave a 1 star review, but I have never experienced such a terrible experience from a hotel. Don't book a room unless you're prepared to be stranded at midnight. read more

Stay here is always great for a quick Disneyland trip. We've stayed here several times and have enjoyed our stay. Our new go-to. The fireworks being so close by might deter some travelers, but we're usually still at the park for those anyway. Would def recommend. read more

If you get anything out of this review, I hope it's that they don't care about you, only your money. Me and my friend booked a trip 10-11/10-18. At first everything was fine. A few stains on the sheets and walls but for the great location near Disney at a low price, we weren't complaining. However, when I slept I felt itchy the entire night. When I woke up I was completely covered in hives. At first it was small, not noticeable much, and looked like I just had a bad breakout. That night I went to bed super itchy again and when I woke up, I was completely worse, and had to go to urgent care. Before I left the hotel, I asked the front desk what detergent they use for their sheets, if they have hypoallergenic sheets, etc. The front desk lady said she has no clue. I told her I was having a severe allergic reaction. She said "I'll ask housekeeping". Me and my friend go to urgent care, but hey have to give me steroids for my severe allergic reaction that I now have to take for two weeks, and when I went back I asked to speak to a manager for a refund. When I explained the situation the manager started to gaslight me saying "in my years of working here nobodies ever had anything happen to them because of the sheets". I said nobody is the same person. Take a look at my skin. I didn't eat, drink, or use anything different. The doctor comforted it was a contact allergic reaction and I've used not a single thing that I haven't used many times before. I asked for a refund and he said "I'll have to think about that". So I asked what can you do for me. He said "nobodies had this reaction before. Sleep in the bed and in the morning we'll go from there." The manager lacks common sense because why would I sleep in the same bed that causes me an allergic reaction. So we called Expedia for a refund and they called him. He told them that if we left he would refund us the nights we didn't stay. So we booked a hotel, went down to the lobby, and he told us and I quote "you will not be getting a refund for tonight since it's past checkout time". I was in urgent care during check out time. There's no sympathy or any care for my well being. We now wasted almost $150 on a night we didn't stay in under the precaution it would be refunded back. So, if you stayed to read this, DONT ever spend your money on them. read more

This was by far the worst hotel we've ever stayed at for a Disney vacation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We found roaches and roach carcasses in the room, AND STAINED SHEETS immediately after coming home from a day at Disney at around 1:00 AM and when we requested a room change we were told there were none available until the morning and to call back. We had to stay in the room and we called in the morning we were told that we could not until a manager was present and were hung up on four times. I'm giving it 5 stars as I had zero issues with all. It was very clean. The room was fresh and quiet. Front desk staff nice and helpful. I was spending 2 days at Disney so chose the place due to location. It is a mile from the entrance. I didn't want to pay Disney huge parking so took the OC bus from in front of Solara to Disney entrance for $2 each way. It runs every 20 minutes so was easy. I found it as easy as the trams when I park in the Disney garage. I highly recommend this place! read more

Terrible service, was told our room was Down at the end, ended up looking for 10 minutes for the room, the night auditor/ manager seems lazy and doesn't care. The refrigerator was an extra 20 a day when booking but every room comes with a fridge whether you want it or not... and the fridge doesnt even get cold. Seems like they want to cheap out. We just stayed at this hotel due to the price and close proximity to Disneyland. The room was updated and beds were very comfortable. We checked in very late (1:30am) and the staff was very accommodating with that check in. We didn't use the pool but it was a decent size and looked clean. The hotel is about 1 mile from Disneyland main entrance/security and would take us anywhere from 18-20 minutes to walk it. Very easy walk, Disney is in the same side of the road so you just crossed a few crosswalks and you were there. You do cross over a busy highway but you're safe on the sidewalk! This review is based on the value we paid to quality we received. At the time of writing this review, our stay at Solara Inn was around $372.50 for 4 nights for 2 queen beds. This hotel had all the essentials and some things were better than expected while some parts were mediocre, but hey, it's what we paid for right? Pros: - The wifi was actually surprisingly fast. It might be the location of our room, but being at the end of the hallway on the 2nd floor, we had no problems and were impressed. Like we ran into no problems making video calls over Line. No streaming problems with YouTube. - Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Not too soft. - Room was clean. - Had sufficient power outlets. There was enough for both beds on the night table - Decent A/C - Parking was included Cons: - shower pressure is not strong, but I thought that was ok. Some people might care though. - the one armchair sofa in our room looked sort of gross, but I didn't sit on it and it was fine for holding my backpack. Not a con, but something to maybe take note of was there is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, but that's probably mentioned on the booking site. My husband and I booked this hotel for our 2 day valentines day Disney vacation. I booked the king size suite. When we came to check in the clerk told us that we had a room with 2 queen size beds. They said they had some maintenance issues. This was our Valentine's Day celebration so obviously we did not want two beds. I went to the office in the morning to speak to the manager, and they were nowhere to be found. I kept getting the runaround from the staff. management never called me back or contacted me. When I finally got a hold of the manager, he told me that it was a complementary upgrade. I tried to explain this is not what I wanted and requested my money back and they refused. very poor customer service and horrible management. read more

They had plenty of free parking on site also. My room was a king size on the second floor and came with a refrigerator microwave and a tub/shower with one sink in the main room. I found a deal online allow me to get the room for $102 a night, so for the price that I paid and what I got I really cannot complain. I will put some cons beneath this though, but nothing was that big of a deal honestly, it's a good cheap place to say if you're going to Disneyland. Both of the bed nightstand dressers had plenty of charging ports for our devices , no bedbugs or roaches, and the underside of the bed was clean and bedbug free .Bedroom curtains did an excellent job of blocking out the sun, The average Uber/Lyft ride range between $6 to $10 and it's a 20 minute walk to the main gate. Cons: the walls are paper thin. Thick enough to where you're not here in conversations beside or beneath you, but anyone that walks past the room while talking you will hear them. It will sound like World War II at 9:30-9:50 pm due to Disneylands fireworks fireworks. Very small TV, if that matters for you. read more

It very much served it's purpose. It's literally right down the street from Disneyland and has a few fast food spots nearby to grab food as well as a Starbucks right at the corner. They had a little mini mart inside the lobby where my kids were able to buy cup of noodles and other little snacks. The plus for me, was the fact that they had a microwave in the room. Believe it or not those are hard to come by so I was happy to have one. The only reason why I'm not giving you five stars is because a five star hotel serves breakfast in my opinion. Lol. read more

They let some guy blast music, slam doors, and argue with someone till nearly 2am who had already been blasting music and yelling since we arrived at 6pm. Wifi hardly worked, and if it did it was very slow and not for long. Shower pressure was pretty bad. Close to Disney but the walk is a little rough. The only reason I kept the reservation was due to the low price I got at the time of booking but next time, I'll gladly pay $300 more for a hotel closer. My husband left his NEW SHOES in our room we checked out at 11am like we are supposed to arriving cross town to our home we realized his shoes were left in the room we stayed in WHAT A SUPRISE THAT "NO HOUSEKEEPER" saw his shoes in the room! I wonder did my husband buy shoes that walk on there OWN NOW!!! BS! PS IF ITS NOT YOURS DONT TAKE IT SIMPLE!!! So WORD out there if you plan on staying here PLEASE CHECK YOUR ROOM DOUBLE TIME! Hotel is clean, friendly staff. I'm from Washington so I had quiet a few questions that only a local was able to provide answers for. The night people, Norma and Rose were very helpful and answered any questions I had with no issues. The lady in the morning's tho is not very pleasant. She's rude and gives very curt answers and didn't seem like she wanted to help. From what I was told is that the hotel is recently remodeled. New beds, new furniture and a greasy coat of paint. The tvs are a bit small but it's fine it's not like we're going to spend all day watching tv. At 9:30 it does sound a bit spooky. The hotel is so close to Disneyland that you hear the fireworks as if you're standing right there next to them. I would recommend booking at this place. 8/10 if it wasn't for the lady in the morning it would be 9/10 read more
