The front desk staff are all warm and welcoming, the breakfast has a lot of simple and great options (which is hard to find at a hotel with a reasonable price these days), and the room is always clean. Easy access, right off the 405 Freeway. Many restaurants nearby. Parking was included, so that was a plus. Our room came with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. It's Best Western, so there were no surprises on how the rooms were, but I've given higher ratings at other locations. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi & mini-golf; we brought food to eat dinner out there, which was nice. Unfortunately, alot of their included amenities didn't work for us. We wished the breakfast would start 30 min earlier rather than 7am. So if you need to be out the door early, you miss out. Also wish their pool hours were more than 10am to 8pm. Plus, several channels on our TV didn't work. Prior to booking, I called ahead to confirm a few specifics. I was told the couch would be a pull-out sofa; unfortunately it was not. I also asked if certain breakfast items were available as other Best Westerns offer. Unfortunately that was not the case as well. I guess their front desk doesn't really know specifics when you inquire ahead. LOCATION. I stay in this part of Westminster because it's close to my family near downtown Seal Beach and it's safer than Long Beach. The liquor store across the street is convenient (especially with a lack of vending machines), with a 7-Eleven, donut shop, Chinese food and taco joint out of sight yet within a 6 minute walk. Within 3/4 of a mile you'll find a burger joint to the west and an In-N-Out and fun/safe pool hall just past the 405 east. (For out-of-towners, it's 5 miles from the excellent Seal Beach and chill Bolsa Chica beach, 10 miles to the overrated, bro-heavy touristy Huntington Beach, 9 miles to Knott's Berry Farm, and 16 miles to Disneyland and Santa Ana Zoo). Is this Yelp or Google Maps, sorry. ROOMS. The decent-sized room was clean, with no signs of bugs, mold, or anything filthy or broken. There were enough plugs. The wifi, key cards, and fridge worked, though the fridge had a wall switch. Shampoo smelled good. But, and this is a big but, like a "My 600-lb Life" butt: the shower pressure was atrocious, the bed was uncomfortable, and the ill-fitted door of #206 allowed for not only road noise, but smoke from the jerk smoking on the balcony. STAFF: Friendly and attentive, though they need an answering machine [when booking, my call went unanswered] BREAKFAST: Fine, but lacking. While I am glad to see the recent return of cooked food, they need to bring back the waffle iron. Two, really. One to make waffles and one to burn the person who trues to get rid of it again. And, though I probably could have asked for or waited for more food, there was only a serving spoon full of scrambled eggs and potatoes. GROUNDS: Parking is free and convenient, mostly in front of doors like most motor inns. The reason I tried this place out rather than my usual place was the hot tub. Having a hot tub in operation is a big plus. I assume it would have eventually gotten hot, but even after 30 minutes it was just a lukewarm tub for me. (Turn it on 30 minutes before you get in if it hadn't been in use). They also have a ping pong table and you can use the putting green if you have the balls. read more

Was looking for something close to my doctor since I only go to SO CAL to receive chemo meds. This seemed like a good choice. Only 9 miles from UCI Cancer center. My first impression of the staff was they were very friendly and eager to help and answer questions. They provided info about the property and the breakfast and parking. Upon entering the room I noticed a nice big sliding door that led out to a small patio with a couple of chairs, slightly near the pool but close to the small putting green that was outside. We unpacked our staff after a 5 hour car trip and put our stuff away. A fridge in the room that we loved for our water and sodas and microwave. The bathroom was a good size with shampoo, conditioner and bar soap was provided. I always travel with my own toiletries and my own towels. But a nice touch. The room was clean, spacious and quite. Even with the hotel being on a busy street it still was pretty quite. They do require a $100 deposit which I paid in cash and it was returned to me the next morning. Overall I give the property a 5 however I do wish we were told about the jacuzzi being there we would of wanted to take advantage of that. I did call the hotel before I booked to ask questions and was not told about that amenity. I have a few more trips back there for continued cancer treatment (side note: my request of being in a downstairs room was accommodated) due to stairs being hard for me to climb. Thank you for that. I gave this place two stars, because the employees are super nice and very helpful. The rooms itself and the facilities are lacking so much. I stayed at this place for two weeks while my house was getting repairs, and had adjoining rooms with my parents. The place is dirty. The water smelled weird. Screen door was broken. My upstairs neighbor was loud as f***. I told the staff about all of this and in then end they really can't do much. Ironically, this place was busy. I tried getting another room, but nothing was available for longer than a few days. I had handicapped parents and needed an accessible room. They have none. Despite what they say, the showers aren't up to ADA regulated from their showers to the rooms. The only one they had was upstairs and was booked, from what I was told. As such my parents never left their rooms the entire stay. Their breakfast was the same thing everyday, pastry's from Costco, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, waffles, toast, yogurt, or instant oatmeal. Coffee, juice and tea. Which overall wasn't so bad, in the sense that it's enough for breakfast. Pool was dirty, and unkept. Their vending machine robbed us of $3. Oh! And near the last three days of our stay there, we got infested by drain flies. It happened on the weekend so the maintenance guy wasn't around. He showed up on Monday as we were leaving, and he just used Draino. Overall, dished out nearly over $3,000, for the crappiest stay ever. If I didn't need to stay close to the house as repairs were going on, I would've have moved everyone to a better hotel. Originally, I wasn't picky, thinking our stay would be brief. So we all packed light, but they it extended longer and my daughter had school. So much stress and this place did not felt like a vacation. Felt kinda like limbo. read more

I stayed here twice and one of those times, I got an upgrade to the Executive Suite in the middle of a four night stay. I am a Diamond Select member, which probably helped. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Front Desk service was superb and they always tried to handle any requests I had. The Best Western is a bit outdated so there's only so much they can do though. - Daily breakfast bags for each day of your stay. Due to COVID, they no longer serve self-service breakfast, but instead pack a breakfast bag consisting of a pastry, granola bar, orange juice, and orange. You have to go to the front desk every morning to request it. - Parking was easy and free, which they have a large open lot. There were nights when the parking lot was full, but there were at least a few spots available. - Amenities in the rooms consisted of two free water bottles, coffee station with decaf and caffeine, and very aromatic shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. - The executive suite had a walk-in kitchen with all the necessities to cook food or reheat left overs. It included pots and pans, dishes, dish soap, and paper towels. - Large 65 in TV in the living room and 50 in TV in the bedroom. Cons: - The carpet wasn't vacuumed well because they were dirty and had bits of debris. It was also an old style brown carpet, which doesn't look appealing to step on barefoot. We wore slippers inside. - The toilet in the suite had sporadic problems refilling the tank after a flush. I had to lift the tank's lid to pull up the flapper valve to fix it many times. - Front door card reader isn't sensitive enough to scan the hotel cards every time so there were moments of constant swiping the card up and down to open my door. - Ice bucket requires scooping ice from a scooper under a dimly lit area. There's no ice vending machine so everyone uses the same ice scooper to scoop ice out of a dispenser. It helps that there's a hand sanitzer bottle next to it. There's also a large spider and web right above it, which wasn't appealing to be under. - Bed is creaky AF. The bed must be many years old because every movement on the bed makes it creak loudly. - When I was staying in the regular King room (before the room upgrade), my wife had bug bites on her leg. Also killed a silverfish in the bedroom of the suite later on. - The suite surprisingly didn't have luggage racks. I asked the front desk, but unfortunately there weren't any available. - The suite's bathroom was a bit cramped, didn't have ventilation (had to slide open window), and there wasn't a soap holder in the shower - must put soap, shampoo, and conditioner on the shower floor, which doesn't seem sanitary. Overall, this Best Western served its purpose as a place to stay over a long weekend. read more

Me n my boyfriend came for the weekend just to get away I've stayed at the best western before butt let me tell u I was a little disappointed we arrived around 7ishpm checked in supper fast the front lady was every nice n polite and explained everything to us. Breakfast started at 7 to 10 they served a couple of different things juices fruit, toast, cereal, Yogurt, oatmeal , individual waffles, (not the ones u can make yourself like at the Hilton ) eggs potatoes were good. They were my favorite actually. Sauce they had a good selection overall.. ok let's get to the room it was big don't like how you have that door to share a room usually there's locks on both sides this room just had a chain lock but not like a lock on the door that was weird to me! The floor felt like they didn't really mop the floor it was a lil sticky n the Damm bed ! It squeaks and super HARD ! I don't remember them being that hard n the pillows they are SUPER FLAT I know they make good money the least I can do is have good beds oh yeah the shower curtain why is it so hard to have shower curtains that fit the shower. This was last minute book a room for tonight type of day. From The Bay Area making our way to New Mexico, we needed a nights rest before heading back on the road again. We booked here, price was reasonable. Staff was nice. Don't expect anything fancy looking but the rooms were clean. Not much of a fan of their toiletries, shampoo conditioner didn't smell too great. Apparently pets are not allowed. But when I read Priceline reviews, they were were allowed, according to Priceline . I did a sneaky thing and snuck my dog in the hotel room. Not a messy dog. Stayed here with my family this past weekend and the front desk was super nice and check in was easy. The hotel is right next to some sort of sewage/water canal, so we would sometimes get whiffs of odd smells outside? There's A LOT of construction happening on the street the hotel is located on. I stayed in the King with Sofa bed, kitchenette and patio. I was there for 1 night. I was happy with my stay. Free parking on the lot was ample. I only spoke to staff to check in then check out. Both times they were courteous and professional. The room and bed was clean. It was raining most of my stay so didn't get a chance use the patio. Was impressed to see there was stove in the kitchenette. Didn't hear any noise so either all my neighbors were quiet or the room is very well insulated for noise. They had a proper continental breakfast. Cereal, waffles, yogurt, eggs, sausage and hash browns. It's worth having if your diet and schedule allows. " We Did Not Have A Good Time " We stayed at the Best Western Westminster Inn and did not have a good time. We picked this hotel because it had some of the better reviews in the area. I ordered a Handicap accessible room and when I tried to enter the bathroom the sliding door was broken and it was almost impossible to close and open the bathroom door. I also saw that the tub area was very slippery and it had no rubber mats to make sure handicap people don't fall. When I called the front desk they told me they don't have those mats. Wow ! Then after I spoke with a lady washing the laundry about the mats, about an hour later she showed up with a rubber mat. The front office still did not know about it. The hotel is very noisy and it is very hard to get any sleep. The cars, motorcycles and trucks are racing down the roadway which is very close to the rooms. And the next morning when my wife and I tried to take a shower there was NO HOT WATER ! None ! What a Joke! read more

He was very disrespectful and we could not get in contact with some kind of owner or manager, we notified police about the matter and when police arrived they asked us to leave the establishment with 4 kids. However for the one night stay it is perfect for the price. It is not the Marriot by any means but hey. They do not have an elevator and it is stairs only. The nice staff helped carry my luggage. This is also motel style with the doors exterior. The pool is clean. Pong tables nice additive and putting green as well. I really want to give 4 stars because they were so nice, and let me check in early. it's just too outdated for my taste and it is loud traffic in front rooms, that is the 3 star rating.
