Your technician took my money, several thousand, gave me a hug and told me god would take care of things and everything would work out. He left my home and ran out of gas up the road and called me to help him to go get gas. All the time this conniving socialopath and you were stealing my savings without a care in the world or remorse. I called you later when your employee didn't return to fix the car as promised. The both of you came up with some story as to how me the customer was wrong and how you both were justified in keeping my money. Truely cruel and unbearable how scammers like you both operate. Well organized for sure then you threatened to sue me if I told others what happened. I heard the school teacher he went to after me he ripped her off worse than me. I was completely sucked in by your employee that you sent to my home representing your company to fix my car. After I was scammed out my savings there was no money left to repair the car. Their employee, Hector Rodriguez, is a scam artist. He tells customers of the Hybrid Battery Experts that he's been experienced 14 years and he can replace the bad cells and fix the battery for half the price - $700.00. He's a rip off and the business knows that. Hector came to Jacksonville with a truck full of parts he took from other cars and replaced my control module without even knowing if it was bad. That was an additional $200 that he included in the price. Within a week, the error lights were back on. Although he promised to fix it, there was always an excuse - he was either in New Jersey or Puerto Rico or as he puts it - life happens. He has yet to make good on his work or his promise. I am in the process of filing in small claims court, especially now that I see how many other people have been ripped off by Hector and this company. read more

THEY HAVE CHANGED NAMES! NOW BATTERY REPAIR EXPERTS LLC SCAMMERS Just like all the other reviews out there, at first it was too good to be true. Mr. Juan Alana was able to send out his technician Carlos (nice guy until he blocked my number) to come out rather promptly and get my battery replaced, as I was in a hurry to leave on a trip I had planned. At $999 I thought it was the best deal I could get, but it started to stink rather immediately. (Disclaimer - I have refurbished hybrid batteries myself before, I went with this service because I had a deadline to leave, and the parts I needed would have surpassed that by a week, so I bit the bullet and payed someone else to do it) MISTAKE!I'll break it down into two components as to why these scammers did me wrong.1. They came out quickly because they wanted to steal my catalytic converter. I knew this trick but I still wanted them to come out so I said I'd think about it when they got here. For any of those not aware of of scam - Juan spun me the yarn that they have a "program" where they replace your CC for "free".What he is really trying to do is scrap these high dollar/precious metal converters for between $800 lowest and $1500 highest. The part that they brought to replace it with I googled quickly and found it for $170. It contains no real catalyst, won't pass emissions, and throws a code even though they promise you it won't, (I put one on another prius I owned before) even if it didn't, it will affect the fuel trim ratio of the prius and cause it to run poorly. So, a total scam, I refused it.2. I tested the "refurbished" battery they put it immediately and found it was at 40% efficiency. The voltage difference between the highest and lowest cell was a .63v - wildly off, I speculate they didn't actually replace any of the poorly performing cells; they just put it on the bench and tried to balance it to get it to last long enough to take the money and run. A month later it failed. Now they have blocked all my numbers. Won't respond in any way to warranty, still within the 6 month window. IF by any chance they decide to be good people and warranty my battery with an actual battery that will last, or give me a refund, I will alter my review to show that they actually tried, rather than blocking my number and the several other phones I had to borrow to try to get ahold of them. But if not, buyers be aware of this company, and their other aliases. Because it seems like they get buried with complaints and pop up shop under a different name every few years. read more

En un principio pense que podian ser gente seria, ya que me ofrecieron cambiar la bateria hibrida de la Ford Escape de mi hijo que sacrifico las ganancias de su trabajo de verano $1500.00 pero el carro nunca encendio. Mi Familia y yo nos fuimos de vacaciones y le mandamos la camioneta en grua $150 para que la diagnosticara y reparara, al regresar de vacaciones la camioneta estaba en el mismo estado (3 semanas despues) no prendia y no habia manera de que la revisaran y diagnosticaran cual era la falla cuando supuestamente la revisaron dijeron que era la Bomba de Gasolina pero que no la podian cambiar ellos. esto todo sucedio entre el 07/07/2022 y agosto de 2022 mas de un mes para decir que era la bomba de gasolina, no tuve mas remedio que volver a remolcar mi carro a otro mecanico para que cambiara la bomba de gasolina y este constato que nunca habian chequeado la bomba ya que los contactos estaban sucios como que nunca habian sido tocados, bueno, se cambio la bomba $300 y el carro continuo con la misma falla que tenia cuando comenzo este calvario, prendia y se apagaba, el mecanico me recomendo cambiar la bateria de 12 voltios y el carro al fin prendio (la bateria me la cambiaron en Walmart sin ningun costo ya que estaba en garantia, sin embargo el sistema hibrido nunca funciono, y este previo al cambio de bateria hibrida funcionaba perfectamente. Me siento estafado. El Sr Juan cuando le dije cual era la situacion me dijo muy receptivamente que me iba a enviar el tecnico, 10 meses despues aun no llega dicho tecnico, y el Sr. Juan despues de que me dijo que posiblmente serian los ventiladores y que ya los habia pedido y que le llegaban en una semana, eso fue hace tres semanas, la semana pasada lo llame y me dijo que el me llamaba y cuando le dije que le daria nuevamente "el beneficio de la duda"; creo que no tiene idea del significado de la expresion ya que se molesto, fue grosero y me colgo la llamada y desde hace 2 semanas no contesta ni mis llamadas ni las de mi hijo. me veo en la nesecidad de emprender acciones legales y los invito a que hagamos un frente comun que si bien no nos hara recuperar el dinero, paguen las consecuencias de tanta negligencia y por lo menos los saquen del mercado para que no sigan estafando a otras personas. read more

My battery died around 11/16 and I went with this company because they seemed to have the best price. They came out to my home and repaired it after I purchased the refurbished battery with one year warranty. On 4/17 I experienced the same issues and after almost 2 weeks and several times being rescheduled they came out and fixed it again. Now on 2/18 the same issue is occurring and after calling them they basically said that since the warranty is expired I would have to purchase the full amount. I spoke to Juan and he said he would try and work out a deal but never got back with me. He would not stand behind his product even though it lasted less than a year from the second repair and less than 15,000 mile from the original purchase. You are better off finding another company that is willing to stand behind their product when it malfunctions. read more

STAY AWAY! These guys are crooks. He keeps sending out employees that do what he calls "side jobs." But I never asked for a "side job. The story is, I had my battery fixed and it failed 5 months later. When An employee named Hector Rodriguez came he told me that the battery was in bad shape and in order to maintain the warranty I would have to change the inverter. Out of nowhere he pulled an inverter out of his trunk and told me I would have to do the repair and it would cost me $500. So I paid him and he said he would be back in 2 days. Hector returned 3 weeks later after I changed his inverter and the car still would NOT start. He said something else must be wrong with the car. So I had the car towed to a Toyota mechanic and he determined the inverter never worked. So the mechanic put in another one for $750. So it cost me another $1250 after the initial $$1350 I paid for the battery. The car ran perfectly after the Toyota mechanic removed Hector's inverter and put in his. When I called Hector for a refund he was nowhere to be found. I called the main office and spoke to Juan. He said he wasn't responsible for his employees doing "side deals." I told him and his employee were committing fraud as I was told by Hector the inverter had to be changed to maintain warranty. Juan said he would tell him to pay me back. I then got a call from Hector saying he was fired. He said he would pay me back $50 a week but that was 6 months ago and they don't answer their phones. I call every day and no answer. I recently had my Toyota Prius Battery replaced by Hybrid Battery Experts. I found them through a friend of mine who had her battery replaced by them. My only complaint is I had to call a few times to get an answer, but once I got the appointment set, they came out to my home fixed my battery and gave me a warranty with the new battery. It's been about a month now and my car is still running and my anxiety about the battery is gone. Thank you! Not only did you guys save me a ton of money but gave me piece of mind. read more

This was my daughter's car in Tallahassee and I spent the $900 to have the battery replaced but I find out that they only replace the bad cells. Within a week, we had the same problem so they had to come out again. More cells replaced. Three weeks later, guess what, it happened again. A third trip to Tallahassee to replace under warranty. You would think three was enough. Within a week, of them fixing it the third time, it was once again having problems. I broke down and had a new battery ($3500) put into the car. I tried to get a refund of some sorts from Juan, but now all of a sudden they seem to have lost my number. No call, no return email. I would be cautious of this company. DO NOT PURCHASE! Initially I thought these guys were great. When I was a new client they were quick to respond and changed my battery at my house, no problem. However, I paid extra for the 5 year warranty they offer. Little did I know that 8 short months later the hybrid battery THEY gave me would give out. It has been almost a whole month of back and forth calling these people, scheduling appointments, and them never showing up. Now they have stopped answering my calls all together, and have not returned any voicemails. This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They have horrible communication and ultimately stole my money because they have not followed through on my warranty agreement. I am so disappointed. I am writing this review so that no one else has to go through this. I'm a nurse and I need my vehicle for work as we all do, and for almost a month now I have had to borrow family members vehicls.
