Literally the WORST experience ever. I'm from out of town I came in for my granny's birthday. FIRST I scheduled an appointment, the lady at the first seat said that it was fine to come in at the time I asked. I get in and she asks what I want then tells me I have to wait because she can't take me anymore someone else booked an appointment. UM HUH?!? Then the guy she gave me to rushed my nails. He kept cutting my fingers and the tools were getting too hot. what I originally wanted he wasn't able to do bc the fil in shade was not correct. So I asked if he just wanted to take my old set off and redo he said no it takes to much time. so yall dnt want the money. Heard. So I choose something easier for them to do, MY NAILS LOOKS LUMPY AF! The shape is terrible. I'm so mad I could cry. I refused to sit in there and let them even try to fix it because yall have played in my face enough. NEVER AGAIN if I could have put zero stars I would. NEGATIVE if possible. Edit: 11/9/25- after 2 hours of filing and shaping my nails down to look decent on Friday, today I went to look at my nails and my thumb nail has peeled off. Please do not ever support this business. This place was better than I thought it was going to be. I had been skeptical because it looked like the hood over there but for the most part the hood always does good feet. I had been to salons all over the city I found a great one on the north side but it's just too far. This place is a lonely a few blocks from me which is great. I paid $60-including my tip for a no chip mani pedi. That's how much I used to pay in Philly so I was cool with that. The only thing I had a problem with was the lady didn't scrub my feet. She wanted to used that rake scrubber thing which I don't usually have people use on my feet they just scrub it with the pumice scrubber so I believe I threw her off that way because she didn't use the purple scrub on my legs just a little scrub and done. I messed with her process. She did scrub a little more when I asked her but next time I go I will just tell her make sure you scrub good but don't use that scraper thing on me. I will be back. This place has completely fallen off. If you guys open at 9:30, then you should be ready to work at 9:30 and fully staffed when the doors open. There's no reason why you guys should be opening at 9:30 and only 1 person is there ready to work at that time. I went here 2 weeks ago at 9:30 as soon as they opened and I had to wait almost 2 hours for someone to do my nails. Its ridiculous and not only that, but I feel if you guys are going to take appointments then people should be able to make appointments online. There is no reason why I should be getting there at 9:30 waiting for someone to do my nails but someone else comes at 11 and they go right to that customer because they have an appointment with a certain nail tech. read more

These people use a chemical that eats away at the nails, I experienced it first hand , the chemical ate away .y nails to the base of my skin, when I went back and confronted them about it no one there could speak a word of English, how in the hell sre these people allowed to come over to our country, run a business and not knowhow to communicate with their customers. read more

Okay, this place used to be my favorite but the quality of the workers has seriously declined. I only trust the owner to do good work anymore. I went yesterday to get a full set and I hate it. First of all, none of my nails are the same shape. They weren't properly buffed, and you can see the jagged lines from the machine under my nail polish. When my nail tech finished, I still had acrylic all over my fingers and big chunks of it under my nails. Right next to me a woman was getting a manicure, and the guy had to repaint her nails like 3 times before he got it right. I don't know if their polish is cheap or if he was just that unfocused, but I've honestly painted my nails better in a moving car. He also left her with polish marks on her skin and didn't even bother to clean it off, she had to ask the owner to ask him to come back to do it. My mother also got a manicure the same day and her paint is chipping already. The owner is great, but you can't have only 1 good worker in a whole shop. It's ridiculous. read more

This nail salon has gone down in the quality of service. It's very dingy and dirty these days also. I was going out of town to a conference this past week. I stop by on a Friday to get a mani and pedi. I opt for no chip mani like generally due. No chips are suppose to last at least two weeks at least with me it does. By Friday evening my thumb nails had began to chip. Went back to shop on Monday to repair them before I left for a week. He ( the head tech)did a patchwork fix that lasted all of that day. The wait was about an hour. They sat me in the pedicure chair as if I was about to be serviced. I sat there so long the water got cold and my feet were pruny. Several ppl left bc the wait was to long. I felt like the shop and the service was basic. The parking situation was dismal. They were towing from the lot HEAVY. I won't be back. My nails and toes look ok. The girl did an alright job. I do question there sanitation also. I didn't see the plastic bags on the foot tubs. It was a few things that made me raise my eyebrows. Solid three-star establishment. Looks a little rundown (but not dirty by any means just needs a spruce up) but they have quick and excellent service. They have a wide selection of colors and the manicurists are skilled, quick but careful. I do wish however they put plastic over the pedicure basins as that is more hygienic, particularly because those are basically cesspools of bacteria. The price is right at $30 for a regular mani/pedi, which is low enough to give an ample tip. read more

I came for a gel fill in and toe nail polish change. I waited an hour to be serviced. Once seated at the chair I asked for a cut down he basically made my nails really short and uneven when I just wanted a little cut down to offset the growth. I usually get coffin shape but they were more square than coffin. He did a nice job polishing my nails. Overall I've been here 2 hours already and still haven't had my feet polished. This place could definitely use some upgrades and repairs. Better customer service and more workers to improve on customer wait time. The icing on the cake was his disrespectful and standoffish attitude because I asked for a nail to be soaked off versus him destroying my nail bed by using a nail clipper to pry off the broken nail. I've only ever gotten pedicures here (it's the only salon service I ever really get, since I paint my fingernails and shape my eyebrows at home). The price is FABULOUS--I think it was only $22 or $23? I definitely paid less than $30 including tip. The nail techs sanitize their equipment right in front of you. One tip though: if you walk in and HAD made a reservation, be vocal about it. If it's busy, they have a sign-in sheet for customers and take care of each person in order (without cross-checking to prioritize reservations). I don't think they're being rude, it's just a disorganized system they use (and I went during prom season, when every nail salon is in a panic). Don't be shy--just be clear, and alert a nail tech you have a reservation and they will bump up your priority. Best pedicure I've ever had? No, but it was really nice, and worth it. They added a few details to make the pedicure better than average, like a hot towel and stones. read more

I will never come here again. I got an infection on my finger because the tech was rushing, cut my cuticle when she was pushing way too hard, and apparently was using dirty tools. I really enjoyed my experience at HPNS. The service was friendly, the place is clean and good looking (huge flatscreen, top of the line massage chairs). They DISINFECT their tools--a deal breaker for me, and sadly not always the case at some other local spots. I even let Loi talk me into getting a no chip and I am so glad that I did. My nails look great and they are totally dry when she finishes the manicure. I mean totally, like I-could-dig-a-ditch-with-them dry.. The prices are reasonable. Right off the bat I can tell this place is cleaner than Fairy Nails. But, of course, there are two men up front doing acrylics and running the place while 11 women are scurrying around handling all the ladies here today. Refer to my Fairy Nails review about the NYT article. My name was fifth on the waiting list but they called me by the time I picked my color. Unexplainably, the bulk of the colors are kept behind the men up front and check-out counter out of reach to get a good look at the color. Maybe people steal polish and this is their solution. I asked them to clean the pedi bowl before putting water in for me. They said they clean after every pedi so I'm waiting to see if that's the case when the next pedi finishes. One plantar's wart was enough. OK, I see a gal cleaning...still playing it safe and not putting my feet down except my heel. I asked the technician to clean the tools before starting. She said she already did but I asked her to do it again. They don't have their tools in disinfectant solution but, rather, just spray the tools with alcohol and wipe them. Ugh. As I look around, this place really is much nicer than Fairy Nails. It's much roomier, there's nice paint on the walls, some spa-like art work and a couple of nice tvs and the smell isn't overwhelming. And, again, it seems to be much, much cleaner. However, the waiting area is very small. The foot/leg massages in places like this are usually short, but my gal did a nice job. Also, they give new toe separaters to reach client. i was so happy to see a new nail shop in the laundry mat strip mall. i generally get mani/pedis from who ever is offering a $20 daily deal so i have been to a lot of places. there pedicure chair and big and comfy and have nice massage settings, arm rest and a little desk, they also have free wifi. the manicure chairs are office style and also comfortable i jus dont llike how the kinda roll all over the place. they have a large selection of the latest colors from essie and opi and my polish lasts for at least a week. a mani/ pedi is $30 polish change for hands and feet is $13. welcome addition to the neighborhood read more

I've gone here for years and have always received exceptional service until today. My nail tech cut my pinky finger, right below my cuticle and I told him shortly after it happened. He waved it off and proceeded to spray alcohol on my hands. At this point my finger with the cut is BURNING and I tell him again, "you cut my finger and it's burning." He was extremely rude and implies that I'm lying because he "can't see it" and starts to argue with me when I told him I'm not paying full price for unprofessionalism. My fingers are very small so I didn't expect him to see it, but if a customer is telling you that her finger is burning from a cut that wasn't there when she sat down, you would think the company would want to rectify the situation immediately. This place is terrible. I've gotten my nails done twice here. The first time I hated the service, I was one of the last people and since they were ready to go they rushed me out with out my nail OR my feet being dry. They all were smudged. Look. I've been avoiding creating a yelp page for years, but if that's my only way to get the word out, then it shall be done. I have been to this salon 4 times now, including this one. I have only had my nails done 2/4 of those times. This is because the wait is always incredibly long no matter what time of day. First, I was never greeted when I walked into the establishment. I'm willing to let that slide as long as I receive proper service afterwards. Okay, I understand that during regular nail hours, everyone is here & the wait is long. Fine. But I showed up at 10am (opening) to get my nails done. There is one man here. What does this mean? That even though I showed up early, I'm still waiting 45 freaking minutes to even have someone look at my nails. To add insult to injury, the establishment does not give the appearance if a prestigious and clean nail salon. The window sills are dusty. The paint is chipped and faded. I turned my head and there's a thick black spider crawling by the front desk. I nearly died. I have all of this to say, and I haven't even gotten to the actual nail experience yet. After waiting 30 minutes, I said forget the manicure, I'll just get a pedicure once it's my turn. At last, another woman strolls in and I'm hoping I will FINALLY have my toes done. Now. Even though I signed the sign in sheet, the woman goes to the lady who entered AFTER me (and was seated behind me) and asks HER what she wants. Why the hell did she skip over me? I go to pick my color, there aren't even that many options. I wanted a dark blue, there isn't one. Maybe the woman before me took the only one? Idk. Fine. Dark purple is fine. But then the woman makes me bleed, because she picked off too much "dead" skin. She came out with her ear piece in. I ignorantly assumed she would listen to music. No. She was on her phone. But whatever, I guess. I wasn't really in the mood for small talk ANYWAY. Did my nails look nice? Sure. I wonder if that's what keeps people coming back here for despite the terrible service and horribly long wait. But my toe hurt where she cut me, so I'm marking points off for that. I stumbled upon this place several months ago because it was close to my weekend chores. The first time I went here, I thought the decor was nice, pedicure chairs lovely and friendly staff. However, I didn't like the quality of the gel fill-in I received. The man was a sweet heart, but he laid the gel extremely thick on my nails and didn't file them down correctly. Last week, while in a bind I decided to go back. The service was drastically different. The man gave me an even sloppier fill-in and didn't want to fix his mistakes while polishing my nails. He also rushed me which was weird considering there was no one behind me. Also, the lady servicing a client next me was even more rude that my person.
