I'm not one to criticize attempts at art/advertising, but Why is there a picture of cake or pastry to represent a store that sells fresh produce? They DO have good baked goods here, which I rarely indulge in, but one should definitely go for the good deals on fresh fruits and veggies. They could use a bigger organic section, but I'm in the 'whatever, as long as it's fresh fruit and it's cheap' category. They have frozen food here as well, fresh hot food, a deli, hard to find brands of soup, a LOT of milk and off-brand yogurt, protein bars and beverages. You won't find Coke/Diet Coke though! It gets crazy busy here, and while I like Molly Z.'s 'cozy' description, it is just SO cramped! Maybe they could rent space from the defunct Treasure Island on Lake Park! They have a parking lot nearby, as they are in a mini-mall with Binny's CVS, Leona's, Amazon Pick UP boxes, Kenny's Chicken, and Pearl Vision (among others)

I love visiting this produce. The vegetables & fruits are fresh and surprisingly affordable. I bought avocados for 79 cents each, seaweed salad wow!! So delicious The best time to visit is Sunday afternoon. The produce aren't picked over just right

This neighborhood gem is one of my favorite spots. I love that there are great deals to be gotten on produce, sometimes even on organic produce. The last time I was there, I got Driscoll Organic strawberries $1.29 for a pound and organic blackberries for $2.79! They also will mark dairy and such down when the expiry dates are nearing. I got Organic Valley Cage Free Large Brown Eggs for $1.99, after having just paid $3.99 elsewhere on sale! They stock Boar's Head products in the deli, the cold prepared foods are tasty (the guacamole and roasted corn salsa, especially), the desserts are sizable and reasonably priced, they carry D'Amato bakery goods (including those awesome individual tomato focaccia), and the breakfast bar on the weekend is delicious and stupid cheap, considering! I appreciate organic and natural/local selection of meats, frozen food, and snacks. Yay for the Hansen's natural soda variety available, too! The prices are a bit steep for some items, but I understand the difficulty maintaining a profit margin when you don't have the buying power of larger chains and such. The staff is friendly and helpful, the store is always clean and well lit. The nuns from St. Roger Abbey are a delicious bonus of a weekend morning, also, with their organic French pastries. All in all, this is a solid option for grocery needs.

Best local source of fresh produce in the Hyde park area. Oh they take link! Came here to cure my taste for collard greens and ended up buying some prepared foods for lunch and a bunch more. Everything is really fresh.

A good location for all of your produce needs and healthy products. On the weekends they even have at their hot bar breakfast

The food is usually very good. Especially the deli food. It is helpful to order hot food delivered.

Wow this Farmers Market is truly a market, mushrooms, collards, pastries, fruit and many flowers…read more Street parking was not a hassle on Saturday morning. The crowd was manageable and we didn't experience no buffoonery. I'm going back because I had a greedy spirit and finished my treats from Pleasant House Pub and Royal pies. Shepherd pie Peach hand pie Spinach & cheese pie GONE is it Saturday yet?

I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this market. Don;t get me wrong, the vendors were great and we…read morebought more than we should have, honestly. But there are some significant issues. From outside in, the parking sucks. All very narrow street parking. Good luck. Then just finding the market is a challenge. An almost unmarked door just down from a coffee shop. What is this, some kind of speakeasy? Once you're in you're looking at two rooms of about 8 vendors per room. Kinda weak. And only maybe 2 of them were actual "farmers". The others had juices or baked goods or breakfast burritos or whatever. Not bad, just not exactly farmers market items en mas. The venue is...weird. It's like an artist coop or something. Really poorly suited to the market. The first thing I noticed was the smoke from cooking (burned?) breakfast foods hanging in the air. Less than ideal. The prices are stupid. Like stupid high. Sure, you expect that from "artisanal", "organic", "small batch", etc stuff. But this was over the top. $8 for a loaf of bread less than 1/3 of a loaf at any other bakery is stupid. The vendors are great, the quality is great. The space, both inside and out sucks, and the prices border on criminal. I suggest you look around for other venues if you are on a budget.
