The nail polish seems old and gloopy, the esthetician continually repeated steps of the manicure and pedicure, which took forever, but there was no benefit. Most parts to a normal manicure and pedicure were omitted as well. It was way overpriced for what it's worth plus it was impossible to schedule because of their limited nail staff. I feel like this place is just not set up for nails. I had a gift card that I needed to use up, which is why I persisted with trying to schedule. This is my second time in the hair salon. For both times I got a balayage and a haircut. Both times were a wonderful experience. I have to highlight the second time more because I am extremely happy with my hair color. Lexi did a terrific job. I don't think she could've done any better. This is not a negative message for this salon im just telling my little story. I had my tape in extensions done at ANOTHER salon in Boca, Fl (OP Hair Extensions/Mega Hair Extensions/ Salon Rumors). During Christmas break I visited South Carolina and had some problems with the extensions hurting my head. It was hurting and scratching and this never happened before. (I have been doing tape ins for years)I found this salon last minute on yelp. They specialized in tape ins and they took me in right away to wash and blow dry. The hairstylist was so educated she took pictures of the previous hairstylist work went through each tapein and educated me on my i felt the scratching, headache and pulling. I only had the tapeins in for a week and she was so sweet enough to put her finger in between to show how far away the other hairstylist had started away from my scalp. She blew dry my hair and at end it felt so smooth and silky, still hurt(not her fault) but blended my hair nicely. read more

I had an absolutely fabulous experience with Ronnie Hardcastle (Rock Star Stylist) at Studio O2. I could not recommend this salon or Ronnie more. Being welcomed by smiling faces & a cold glass of Rosé after a long day of work was just what I needed. The decor is inspiring and the staff was incredibly friendly. I sat down with Ronnie and we did a consultation. I've never done one of those before. What a concept...find out what the customer likes, doesn't like, things, etc. Why don't all salons/stylists do this? He really listened to what I was willing & not willing to try & do. Finally, the cut & color looks wonderful (wish I had taken a pic to show you). As I mentioned, he respected what I was willing to try (I wanted a change but nothing too drastic) and he nailed it. I think my favorite part (besides the wash - I mean that is everyone's favorite, right) was that he walked me through how to style (I am a novice when it comes to product & how to use it) without treating me like an idiot. He showed me how to get the look he gave me - instead of just sending me on my way (as most stylists do). On top of all that, Ronnie is hilarious. We talked about music, movies, his family, etc. It never felt forced or awkward. I cannot recommend O2 enough. I had an absolutely wonderful experience & will certainly be back. I got my hair cut and dyed by Allie. She is the best!! When I got there we had a consultation about exactly what I wanted. She then picked out some color swatches and let me pick the exact color I wanted. This whole process was super reassuring that I was going to get exactly the color I wanted and I did! This is by far my favorite hair color I've ever had. It's super natural looking. I couldn't have dreamed of a better result. The husband and I HATE having to find new stylists... honestly, one of our biggest gripes about moving back to Columbia from the San Francisco Bay Area was "but, we have to find a new stylist..." First world problems, I know, but I really don't like my hair getting messed up... I chose this place because they carry R+Co. products (which are, btw, phenomenal... and I think they're the only salon in Columbia that carry them... *maybe* there is one other, but I don't know) and I consider that a sign of quality... boy have I been pleased! The service has been fantastic! Not only our stylists, but also the front desk person has been fantastic. It's always clean and inviting, and I am constantly surprised how not-cramped but also not-overly-large the place feels. Love it! read more

Every five weeks, without fail, I have my standing appointment with Ronnie at Studio O2. If it were not for him, I would be a mess. He is a master at making my hair look great! He listens to what you need and provides you with a great cut/color/style. They also have a hyperbaric chamber which is truly an amazing experience. I bought a package of 5 visits when I was suffering from a bulging disc. I believe it helped, but I KNOW it was totally relaxing and gave me some much needed downtime from my go go go lifestyle. read more

Disappointing blowouts and styling skills here. Have had much better results from other salons in this area, and have tried this place several times with multiple stylists to be fair. Everyone was very nice and friendly, but other than that was not a fan. I have very thick curly hair and when I'm paying for a blowout I don't expect to walk out with ridiculously frizzy hair regardless of the fact that my hair type is more difficult to work with. After talking about this I learned that several of my friends have had very negative experiences with cuts and color here as well, so I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

Had the best experience there today! Have been struggling to find a good salon with fair prices, since I am a college student, and Studio O2 is it!! I got a full highlight which included a toner for $120, it was an extra $40 because I have very thick and long hair but $120 for a full head including a toner is a great price. Brittany did my hair and was absolutely amazing! She packed in a ton of foils in just over an hour and I was washed, blow dried and out the door in 2.5 hours. Super quick service which was great considering full heads can take crazy long sometimes. The highlights were well blended and the color was perfect. I was a little nervous it was too icy at first and the staff was extremely accommodating in making sure I could come back to get it re-toned if need be at their courtesy. Needless to say I didn't need the toner and I ended up absolutely loving it. I highly highly highly recommend Studio O2 and Brittany! read more

Scheduled an appointment for 1:15 PM. Arrived At 1:07 PM and was told The technician was running a few minutes behind. At 1:34 PM I asked the receptionist how much longer and she went back to ask the tech and she said more15 minutes. This is unacceptable service. I have had high hopes for receiving a relaxing pedicure and manicure today, however, I ended up leaving due to the length of wait. Went in for the first time last year on a whim when the blow dry salon down the street neglected to inform me their business wasn't actually open yet even though they were taking online bookings. When I walked in to studio O2, the front desk manager graciously welcomed me into the salon and offered me a cucumber water and a glass of wine. The owner set me up with a wonderful stylist named Brittany for a blowout and even got me in for a quick manicure while I was there. It's a gorgeous salon and everyone is super friendly.
