I am forever grateful to the staff and the amazing nurse who helped me when I was extremely vulnerable and feeling my worst. I came in after dealing with a stomach bug and not being able to keep any fluids down, so I was feeling very depleted and irritable. From the moment I arrived, they were beyond kind, attentive, and incredibly informative. Throughout my entire treatment, I truly felt like a VIP. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick pick-me-up and doesn't want to spend hours waiting in a hospital. The IV quite literally saved my life. My only constructive feedback is that this particular location has different chairs that don't include footrests, unlike what's pictured at other locations, so it wasn't the most comfortable. Was a painful experience. The nurse who administered my IV kept moving the needle around in my arm which left huge bruising marks afterwards. The photo attached was taken four days after the IV drip. I came to Hydration Room Westcliff Newport Beach because I had an incident with the Irvine location the evening prior, so I came here instead since I had already paid for the service. This location was surprisingly smaller with one 5 IV patient chairs. Lacey was running an efficient one lady show being the nurse and receptionist, until 2 of her coworkers arrived a bit later on. Feeling a bit anxious from my traumatic incident, I explained everything to Lacey. She was amazing. She took her time to example my veins to see which one would be best for my Myers Cocktail. The veins on the left side were out of service from bruising of the Irvine location's failed attempts. She examined the right arm and identified the most visible vein and gave me a hot pack to help the vein puff up. She was quick on her first attempt, NO ISSUES AT ALL. Pain free, bruise free, meanwhile my other arm still has multiple bruises a few days after. So at this location they have 1 TV that plays Netflix, so it's a more casual ambiance than the quiet Irvine location that has a nature screen rotating. Lacey was so sweet. She told me that I got half a dose of Vitamin C and Magnesium complimentary to make up for any inconvenience from the other location. They put these add-ons in towards the end of your IV treatment. I felt fabulous after my successful treatment and had the energy and hydration to party on for days after. It was exactly what I needed. I really love IV hydration EFFECTS, but the needles and things always stresses me out leading up to it. I would definitely come back to this location to see Lacey if the same nurse I don't like is at Irvine on a day I need an IV boost. read more

The vibes were much friendlier, and they were able to answer all my questions and walk me through my first time getting an IV. I came into the office with an intent to get an IV and give it a try. I was even curious about their membership. My wife and I returned after being invited back and this time, my experience was very good. I went with the Cold & Flu Remedy IV since I had been fighting something all week and I felt really great after it. I was surprised at how quickly it worked. My wife did the Fitness Recovery which was ok but I think she probably needed two bags next time. All-in-all, this was a good 2nd trip and we will return in the future. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly, but honestly for what you get for the price, if you are getting over sickness and in need of fluids, you're better off going to an urgent care and paying out of pocket. Reason being, I spent $110 on 1 L of fluids and anti-nausea medicine (zofran). When I finished and told them I wasn't feeling much better, they told me another liter was $50 more. I could have used an extra liter but had already shelled out $110. At an urgent care, with insurance your copay will be $20, you'll get the same medication and as much fluids as needed to feel better...even without insurance you'll pay the same I paid for what a got but you'll get more fluids. If you look up the cost of bag of IV fluids... its about $5....so my suggestion to them is that since they are already charging an initial flat rate of $85 for the bare minimum (1 L of fluids with nothing added), if someone needs another bag, its worth it to leave the customer happy and wanting to come back since they are already making a significant profit. I would like to give praise to the nurse though because in the past nurses almost always have trouble finding my veins and I get stabbed a ton and IVs are painful, this nurse got it the first time and was pretty much pain free. read more

I got the cold and flu package because I have this gnarly cough that just won't go away. I'm bummed to report that I don't see any change! The treatment was pretty costly at $180 and I have a huge bruise at the IV site. I really like the facility, though. The environment is perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating. Horrible experience, I wasn't feeling well so I wanted to go in for an IV. I booked an appointment for myself and my partner. I got there and they said we didn't have an appointment, so she said we could wait. We were filling out paperwork and had already waited for about 10 minutes the nurse came out and said that we there was no point in waiting because we were not going to get in. I am updating due to an invitation to come back for a second trial at 50% off which was a nice gesture. Ashley, one of the head nurses was able to get my Iv in within the first try just like every other nurse I have had. The previous nurse had told me that people scared of needles shouldn't get IVS .. my message for her is that I have multiple health issues that require bloodwork and IVS every few weeks. I am not scared of needles altho didn't need the comment. I am scared of nurses who aren't able to understand how to feel a vein and then attempt to use my hand on a third attempt (never been so bruised). It was super traumatic and not quite over that experience. I will, however, up my stars for this experience. I do prefer going to my Newport Dr office for IV therapy due to it being quicker, no masks required and the IV doctors are super friendly and warm which is part of feeling at ease. They also charge a bit less and give a super bill for your insurance. I can't always get a quick appointment there so Hydration Room is a great fill in for those times - IF a good nurse is on staff. I do appreciate the apologies, discount and second chance. I will be back at some point for a head nurse only that is. read more

I've passed by this place several times and today, my curiosity got the best of me and I walked in. I've always wanted to try IV therapy. I have some vitamin deficiencies and, honestly, couldn't we all be more hydrated? I completed the intake questionnaire and saw the nurse within 5 minutes. The on-site nurse and receptionist were extremely friendly and helpful. I went through some medical history and decided to go with the "Happy Tummy" with some add ons. The B12 was free since I was a first time customer and I added Biotin and some antioxidants. I got hooked up and just sat comfortably while handling some work emails, etc. The nurse put in the additions to my IV in increments- the last one gave me a little boost of energy. It was pretty cool - reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where George eats the mango giving him a boost of energy from the B12 (while simultaneously curing his erectile disfunction) and he exclaims, I'M BACK BABY!! :) I did not have George's experience, but I did feel a boost of energy. It's been 4 plus hours since and I feel pretty awesome. I'm definitely going back. Also, at some points you can kind of taste the IV fluids - weird, but cool! I have been very curious to try this place out for a while and I went in today because I pass it all the time on the way for coffee and lunch. The facility is gorgeous and always looks so sunny. I did a shot with B12 and the anti-oxidant blend. The reason for 2 stars instead of 5 is that they literally don't tell you what is in the shot. When I asked the nurse for an insert of what is in the shot, she said they don't release that information because they don't want people doing their own shots at home. ????!!!! As a functional medicine practitioner and chiropractor this was VERY surprising to me. There's no explanation about weather they are using cyanocobalamin vs methylcobalimin, or what forms of glutathione they use. Taking straight glutathione orally is ineffective since it's conjugated in the liver, so I was curious if they literally use glutathione, or its precursors, NAC. When I asked, I don't think the nurse understood the distinction. The nurse said the shot has vitamin D. In what form??? Cholecalciferol? D3,D1? Apparently, there's no way to know. There was also vitamin C in the shot. Again, no dosages given. No information. When a health practitioner is injecting something into the blood, they really should tell you what it is. The 2 girls working there seemed pleasant, but they could practice building rapport with new patients and figuring out what inspired them to come in the first place. I whole heartedly believe in vitamin injections and would have been interested in coming regularly or even referring patients but this was not a good experience. read more

This place is awesome! I came here after a long week/weekend, I was very dehydrated and tired. After work I decided to splurge ( I say that cuz this isn't an everyday thing for me). It's very peaceful and pretty inside, light and airy so to speak. The front office and nurse were very helpful. I got a double or something if that makes sense my total was 185$ I believe. I sat there for about an hour, closed my eyes and when I opened them I felt amazing! The nurse was gentle and very knowledgeable.
