We have been in the middle of major reconstruction on a home and are looking to go all-electric for…read moreefficiency; this has meant a lot of changes for the better. We talked to several plumbing sources locally about going all-electric, focusing on a high-efficiency water heater, as well as moving our water lines, Everest provided an easy quote and an option to get the installation done in a timely manner. We went with an AO Smith Vortex XE Heatpump waterheater and the installation was incredibly smooth. The plumbers were efficient, cleaned up after themselves, and the install looks nice. The home had prior had the water heater in a central closet that divided a lot of space; by moving the water lines, we were able to put it into a back utility closet and this opened up a hallway and provided for a better overall floorplan. It was easy working with Everest.

A Masterclass in How Not to Install an HVAC System…read more In October 2022 I paid Everest to install a Trane 4-ton two-stage heat pump, air handler, and three-zone zoning system in dual-fuel configuration with my existing gas furnace. What followed was four years of documented negligence, safety hazards, and misrepresentation that would make a home inspector weep. THE INSTALLATION WAS DEFECTIVE FROM DAY ONE, THEY JUST FORGOT TO TELL ME. Independent licensed professionals later discovered that Everest's original installer skipped a liquid line filter drier required by Trane's own installation specifications. The zoning system was improperly configured, creating static pressure problems that were quietly destroying my equipment from the inside. When I raised the filter drier issue with Everest's management, they assured me it was unnecessary. Trane's written installation guide disagreed. I'll let you decide who to believe. THREE COMPRESSORS FAILED IN LESS THAN FOUR YEARS. Let that sink in. The first failed in March 2025. Everest replaced it, and that replacement compressor failed immediately after installation. Impressive. Everest replaced it again in June 2025. During that repair, their technician managed to fail to flush the contaminated refrigerant lines, fail to address the static pressure issues, AND fail to install the suction line filter drier expressly required by Trane's warranty terms for compressor burnout repairs, voiding the warranty from the moment of installation. A hat trick of negligence. THE THIRD COMPRESSOR FAILURE IN APRIL 2026 WAS SPECTACULAR, AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY. The compressor shorted to ground, producing an electrical arc I witnessed with my own eyes. The resulting electrical event cascaded through the system, destroying circuit boards in both the heat pump and furnace and contaminating the refrigerant lines. A licensed electrician who performed a formal safety inspection then discovered that Everest's technician had failed to secure the ground wire to the terminal, creating a documented electrical safety hazard for anyone near the unit. So not only did they destroy my system, they left it actively dangerous. EVERY INDEPENDENT PROFESSIONAL WHO INSPECTED THE SYSTEM RECOMMENDED FULL REPLACEMENT, INCLUDING EVEREST'S OWN TECHNICIAN WHO SHOWED UP FIRST. Multiple licensed HVAC contractors and a forensic mechanical engineer documented deficiencies attributable to Everest's work. The forensic engineer was a particularly nice touch, not many HVAC installations require one of those. THE CHERRY ON TOP. Everest's management personally told me the original installer was unqualified and no longer with the company, and then, in the same breath, asked me to trust their free labor offer as a remedy. I respectfully declined the opportunity to let the people who destroyed my system "fix" it for free. THE BOTTOM LINE. Everest charged professional rates for work performed by an acknowledged unqualified installer, failed to correct their mistakes across multiple service visits over four years, voided my Trane warranty through improper repair procedures, and left documented electrical safety hazards in my home. Every single statement in this review is supported by independent licensed professionals and a forensic mechanical engineer. Save yourself the headache and the thousands of dollars. Do not use Everest Heating and Cooling.

They did an amazing installation and cleaned up and took away my old furnace and HVAC. They were very professional, knowledgeable and answered in detail all of my questions. I highly recommend Anthony's Plumbing, Heating & Electrical. Also, as a ASAP member the process was so easy and the installation was next day service.

This was, without question, the worst customer service experience our family has ever had…read more We trusted Anthony to install, maintain, and service our HVAC system for years. In September 2023, our AC was diagnosed as low on refrigerant, and we paid $463.51 to have refrigerant added. No leak search was recommended or documented. Years later, when we formally complained, Anthony admitted in writing that a leak search should have been offered. Unfortunately, by the time the problem resurfaced in 2026, major components were no longer covered the way they would have been had the issue been properly investigated earlier. In July 2026, Anthony again charged us to add refrigerant. Five days later, our entire system failed. We hired an independent certified HVAC technician who spent over four hours evaluating the system and identified multiple issues, including that it had been overcharged with refrigerant. While he could not definitively say that caused the compressor failure, he explained that an overcharged system can place significant stress on a compressor. What disappointed us most wasn't just the HVAC work--it was how the company handled the situation afterward. We experienced conflicting information from different employees, canceled appointments, and repeated communication problems. We tried to resolve everything privately through detailed emails and documentation before ever considering a public review. Although Anthony acknowledged that a leak search should have been recommended in 2023, they denied reimbursement. We also requested the HVAC Manager's documentation supporting their decision, but that request was never answered. After exhausting every reasonable effort to resolve this directly, we filed complaints with the appropriate consumer protection agencies and shared our experience publicly so other homeowners can make an informed decision. If you're considering Anthony, my advice is simple: get a second opinion before authorizing expensive repairs or replacing your HVAC system. Keep copies of every invoice, every email, and every recommendation. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric.
