I had a plumber out to clean it out and after an hour of working gave up and said I would need to have the P-trap jackhammered out of the concrete and would have to to get to it a wall removed and the furnace moved. I found AAA Ace Drain Cleaning online with great reviews. He came out three hours later. It was quite a struggle because there was mortar that had been dumped in the drain and clogged the P-trap. After a couple of hours he was able to bore through the mortar and open the drain. I also had AAA Ace scope the pipes to assure I would not have problems in the future. They were also very neat and clean which is a concern with that type of work. He was very fair on the price for the amount of work I had done. They came out on a Thursday, stayed for awhile & left, explaining that they had a prior commitment & wud return later that day. They did not return as promised, nor did they call. I, @least, expected a call the next day, on Friday. I am noting the problem was related to the severe cold snap during late January. I did call the owner who promised that one of his staff wud b calling to set up a time. No call.
