I got a simple design that should last a good amount of time and gives me wiggle room on a new set. She has a home studio that is secluded and really takes her time to make sure everything was how I wanted. One-Liner: the only place I can find in the 626 area for full dramatic mink eyelashes that lasts for weeks! I've been going to Ruby for about.....8 months now and I plan to continue to go to her for all my eyelash needs! I plan to try out her cute nails too! She has a PRIVATE little studio near la puente and I've been looking for someone who does dramatic full eyelashes however all the people I found in 626 have always done it too thin or too little. Also their glue wasn't that strong... I told Ruby what I wanted and showed her pics, I wanted the FULL VOLUME AND DRAMATIC ratchet ones for an upcoming bridal shower, a bachelorette in Vegas, and a wedding. Omg Ruby HOOKED IT UP as they were amazing and the glue is so strong! It survived me getting ratchet at day club and night swim! I'm always worried about putting extra makeup with eyelashes but Ruby's glue HOLDS STRONG. All my girls at the bachelorette were struggling to make sure their eyelashes were still on thru all the splashing at pool parties...and my eyelashes were still ON POINT. I look like I was READY and FLAWLESS 24/7. Definitely can't go back to regular eyelash strips after this. They make you look like you have a natural eyeliner. Also since it's private and appointment only, I don't have to ever wait like I did at other beauty salons. Location is also easy to get to! In terms of refills, if you take care of them well, they can last to 4 weeks or more! I usually just do a full set and wait for them to fall off and do another full set! However sometimes at night I accidentally rub them and then I would schedule a refill. I actually had a ratchet drunk night and rubbed aggressively one eye off and I had to call RUby for an EMERGENCY FILL. We laughed so hard! She is also very sweet and we talk a lot during the sessions haha. I like knowing the prices as far as how much for a full set, designs, gel, and so on. She takes the time to listen and her work really does speak for itself. You don't know how many times I have been to a nail salon and have asked for a full set and wanted them natural looking. Often times my nails were left bulky, and uneven looking. Ruby has been the first nail artist to make them look like they were my natural nails and not hurt me in the process of doing it. She was very gentle when applying and doing my nails. I booked an appointment 2 days prior before so I'm glad she had time to get me in before my trip to the Bahamas. Vacation/bday nails & lashes yayyy. I wanted a medium full set w/ design on 2 fingers which came out perfectly!! $40 full set & 2 designs were $16. She definitely took the time and cares about her work which I admire. She only offers spa pedis which is 35 dollars but if you check in on yelp you get 5 dollars off! Her spa pedi was so cute with little flower petals in it! She has 3 choices for her scrub charcoal, lavender, & green tea; I went with lavender (: smelled great! After the scrub she also did a leg/foot mask which I've never had before so that was a plus!!!! The way she cares for your comfort is the best. I also got gel for my pedicure which is an extra 10 dollars. Lastly, my eyelash extensions .. I'm in love with them and they're reasonably priced! It is 100 dollars for a volume set!! What a steal! I'm in love with how it came out. The first time I had my lashes done (somewhere else) they said they can't even do 3D lashes on me because I basically had no lashes .. and I said to please make It as full as you can. When it was done it looked like barely anything was on me.. it wasn't noticeable in photos you couldn't even tell and I paid way more... RUBY is now my go to girl! Right when I was able to see my lashes when she was done I was soooo happy!!! They were full, fluffy, and noticeable!! She said I had a good amount of lashes and they were about even on both sides!! Which made me go wow.. I can't believe this whole time I felt like I couldn't get lash extensions from my first experience. I'm so glad I gave it another try with Ruby. Overall everything was worth it. All 3 services took about 4-4.5 hours good things take time(: full set - avg 1.5 hrs, lashes - avg 2 hrs, spa pedi - avg 1 hr. Support small businesses!
