Let me start by saying that I found this AMAZING nail tech by accident while scrolling through yelp looking for a salon that does GelX, and I'm sure it was meant to be because I will NEVER go to a salon again!! This experience was personal and delightful from the beginning and all the way through the service until it was done. The place she does it out of is cozy and intimate. I had already sent her an idea of what I wanted and she gave me her suggestions, which i went with since her work speaks for itself (check out her photos), and I'm so glad I did. I'm in love with what I got and I will remain loyal to her business. The pictures don't do it justice but I am beyond satisfied with the final results. I highly recommend her to everyone read more

Vicky is so sweet and amazing! I've been going to Vicky for more than five years. I moved quite a bit in the past five years (Azusa, La Quinta, Indio, Arvin, Bakersfield, and West Covina), but I still went to see Vicky. I don't trust anyone else with my nails. She takes such amazing care of my nails. My natural nails were never able to grow long until I started going to her. I started off with full sets, but since my nails started to grow long and strong, an acrylic overlay is more than enough. Her work is so long lasting. There was one instance, where I wasn't able to go see her for about 5 weeks and my nails still looked great. Vicky is talented and meticulous with her work. Her original designs are fabulous. She can also match any design I find online. She has an amazing range of gel polishes and powders. I always get compliments on my nails and I always direct people to her. Her room inside Beleza Salon is also cute and welcoming, not the normal nail shop with multiple nail technicians. read more

Absolutely enjoyed my experience with Vicky! I was going through some of the reviews and the bad ones mentioned she was rude fortunately for me that was not the case! She was friendly, made you feel comfortable and did my full set exactly how I asked. Unfortunately I'm moving out of California so I cannot be a returning customer. Before moving to Arkansas, I always came to Vicky for my nails. She was very nice and did my nails perfect every single time. I was positive that I found my go to nail tech. So after 2 years being out of state, I moved back to California. I haven't done my nails in a while and I really wanted it done for Christmas & New Years then possibly get a new set for my bfs birthday in January. I booked an appointment with Vicky again and because of restrictions, our appointment was held at her home. I came in Wednesday morning and wanted a really basic set, gel x with lv designs on ring fingers, one flower on the middle fingers. Now I'm telling you that I was super excited because I haven't got my nails done in a while. Fast forward to the appt, she was pleasant and we had a nice conversation. Once we started doing the design though, my hands were "tense" and I didn't realize it. She was super frustrated with me because she messed up and I can tell she was very upset, just the way she grabbed her tools and my hands. I felt bad but I seen that it looked like she was trying hard to fix it so I gave the benefit of the doubt and was like ok my bad, I upset her but shes really trying to give me nice nails so I'll bear with the angry gestures. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know. After she was done, she just put cuticle oil and was like you're done. I looked at my hands and it was so oily, I was like what the hell and I couldn't remember if this was how oily it was when I used to get my nails done. Now before she used to do lotion and all that but I'm assuming because of covid, and it not being at the salon, it's a different way now. So while leaving, I zelle her the remaining payment and tip without checking my nails because OBVIOUSLY, I trusted her because of her past work with me. Boy, was I wrong. I checked my nails while driving and was wondering why the lv designs were super bubbly. My nails are horrible and it really upset me because I was super excited about getting them done. My own co-workers were even appalled when I worked christmas eve because I kept bragging about my nail tech and her work. To put it this way, I'm really disappointed with Vicky and I'm upset that when I finally got my nails done again, it wasn't as nice like my past work with her. Maybe I'm not fitted as a customer she wants to do good work on, who knows. All I can say is that these nails really bugged me with how bad they looked and that I'm really disappointed with how I was treated. I was always nice and respectful to her all the time but unfortunately this will be the last time I get my nails done with Vicky. P.S There are pictures attached of how she used to do my nails and of my current nails. BIG difference. Also I have more photos of my current nails but yelp has a max limit on photos. read more

Vicky is super awesome! I got my nails done for the first time in years because previous times I had a bad reaction with others. I was a little hesitant to get my nails done again but I'm glad I went with her. She recommended that I should get gel-x, they may be better for me. She explained the process to me of how they worked and and I'm glad I did gel-x she's my go-to nail tech now. She has a very easy process to book an appointment and will try to accommodate everyone. First time customer but I will definitely be returning! Loved her personality and most of all my fullset quick & simply put: By Appointment Only she requires a $20 deposit for first time customers booking is super simple she's very patient & i wanna say she's a perfectionist by how she paid attention to detail and corrected her own work when she felt needed. (which is a plus!) Pricing is great! my damage was $38 which was great for me since i did get medium/long marrow square acrylics & i didn't get color, i got powder! love it! All in all, I have 0 complaints about my set, which normally is so hard to come by. even the slightest crookedness will get a complaint from me lol i definitely give her a 6 out of 5. Vicky and I had a miscommunication from the start. She double booked me. I guess I never confirmed our appointment, but she didn't follow up after giving me a time and date, I thought we were good to go. Maybe a bad assumption but I was busy at work and didn't think about it. So when I showed up, there was already another girl in the seat. No biggie. I won't get mad about a miscommunication, she was still able to see me. She had a cancellation in the next time slot so I returned an hour later. I like my nails short short, and while she was filing my nails, she sliced the side of my nail pretty bad. She had a lot of excuses- ranging from "I forgot it was a new nail file" to "I'm used to doing acrylics which are thicker", but every excuse just made it feel more and more careless, and I'm not even sure I heard a "sorry". Maybe she was scared after she cut me, but Vicky did not even touch my cuticles. I left with my cuticles still a mess, and since I got tired of asking for corrections, the design I asked for on my nails was uneven and sloppy. She has a room in the back of some studio, which is dark except one light over the table where she works. Maybe she needs more lighting so she can see better? And the icing on the cake, she didn't change the towel underneath my hands from the previous client, so after she put the oil on my hands, and I put my hands down, I had pieces of another person's nails on my hands. She gave me a three dollar discount for cutting my finger. The polish started peeling after four days. I won't be going back. read more

I don't ever post any negative reviews but this time I had to post it because I feel I have been treated disrespectfully. I came to her two times and the last time she was super impatient. She has bookings back to back so time and money are priorities to her. If you are looking for customer service, please don't come here because she doesn't have any patience. She would just block you instead of telling you in the face. One thing that made me feel offended was when she once told me that round nails are for old people after I requested for round nails. People have different preference and I don't need your opinion. Thanks and bye. read more

Thank you for my pretty nails, Vicky! Making an appointment with Vicky was via text. Luckily, she was available during the requested date and time. Her independent room is tucked away in the back of a busy salon, but easy to navigate and the location has plenty of parking. She's friendly, provides expert advice on types of nail services, color depending on your skin tone, and length. It was my first time in a long long while since getting acrylics and she assured my length would be fine for me, and sure enough, she was right. My nails came out beautifully and I'm still looking at them every other second, lol. read more

Where have you be all of my life?!?! I've tried countless nail salons over the years and none that I've ever been too happy with. I decided I do some research and I was led to Vicky. She's in her own private room in a hair salon, very cute and peaceful. Her prices are very fair for such quality work. She prefers communicating by text which works great for me. I got a simple acrylic set. I tried the colored powder for the first time and I really like it. She is very gentle and meticulous. She aims to please so don't be shy, tell her upfront what you like and don't like and she will deliver! read more

I have been looking for a new nail place around West Covina for quite some time. It hasn't been that easy. I didn't think I was looking for much but apparently finding a nail shop in this area that is clean, had a polished looked, not loud chatter and the most important a nail tech that wouldn't rush me because I was only getting a gel. (Although, I love the nail designs I am not one to get them. I am a little of a plain Jane when it comes to my nails.) Nonetheless, I want my nails to be polished correctly, my nails to be filed all the same length & shape, my cuticles to be cut and cleaned, and my gel polish to last more than two days or a week or even two weeks. Just when I thought I would not find a place and/or a nail technician around this area I finally did, Vicky. I sat on my phone last week and viewed all the nails spots around me. Vicky's name popped up and I checked out her IG page (nailsbyvicky) and read the reviews. I thought it would be worth a shot to shoot her a text and get my nails done before the big holiday rush. She responded quickly to my text & the appointment set up was easy. Vicky was courteous to stay later than she normally would to accommodate my schedule. That right there was pretty awesome. Definitely earned points there. I got to my appt. The salon itself is very clean. There wasn't loud chatter. There was no one yelling. In a nutshell, everything I was looking for. Vicky is super friendly. She knows what she is doing. I can tell when someone is going to polish your nails pretty darn good and she did a wonderful job. She cleaned up my cuticles without cutting me. She didn't over buff. She asked me if I wanted the color deeper without assuming I didn't or did. She filed my nails perfectly. Soooo... I've been a client of vicky's for just over 2 years now. I've followed her through every salon she's moved to regardless of cost or location. Why? BECAUSE SHES THE BEST! I have never had such a gentle and meticulous nail tech! I dont ever have to question the quality or the durability of her work. Once I let my nails go 4 weeks before I could make it back in for a fill --- and other than my horrific grow out, they were still intact! She has a wide selection of gel colors as well as colored acrylic! I always just show her a few photos off my phone of what I want to achieve and she makes it happen! Communication is super easy, as she is just a text message away! Her pricing is very reasonable. BUT SHE WORKS ON APPOINTMENT ONLY! Vicky is beyond amazing!!! If your looking for a new place to get your nails done, stop looking, she is the one. I lived in San Diego and Santa Clarita for a long time. I moved out here 2 years ago looking for someone new. Tried multiple places and they either charged me way too much or did a horrible job. Vicky has amazing prices and does a great job. However, Vicky made a fabulous job, she did my gel nail last month, and it lasted for almost 5 weeks!!!! YES, I was surprised that even little diamonds were still on my nails. Got my nails done yesterday by Vicky and she did an amazing job! My event is the week of Fourth of July and knew she gets booked fast due to the high demand nail tech she is, so I reached out to her four weeks prior. She was unsure if she was going to be working this weekend since she might be out of town and told me to text her in two weeks, in which I did. I came across Vicky through Instagram and decided to try her out. I'm so glad I went to her! She's very professional about her work and does a great job. She takes her time on her clients which is really nice, because other salons, you feel rushed because they are trying to get through so many clients and just want you in and out. It's very clean and relaxing in there. She only works by appointments only but she can be beer flexible. There's no kids running around and it's not loud in there. It's calm and peaceful and relaxing. I get the acrylic gel nails and they last for at least a good 3 weeks if not longer. You get what you pay for, which is excellent service! read more

Hi! So I was referred to Vicky and I also saw some of her work on Instagram, and let me tell you, those pictures on IG don't lie!!! She works by appointment only, so I texted Vicky about scheduling an appointment with her for the next weekend and I told her what acrylic nail shape I was looking for. Vicky responded right away and my appointment was set. She even was able to book a pedicure appointment for me right after. Fast forward to the appointment day, and Vicky was super engaging during the appointment and her room was decorated so cute. She worked really fast and made a suggestion to add gold polish to my original request of champagne colored nails, and I love them!!! She even shared a champagne polish for my pedicure with Amy (who is also fantastic) I am so happy with how my nails came out, and I will be definitely going back to Vicky when the time comes. I was nervous coming in to this appointment being that i had come from an experience at a previous salon in which they cut me twice and ooenly shared my previous experiences with her...right when the drill came out to begin to drill close to my cuticle area I instantly began to sweat and Vicky noted that. The fact that I was sweating was one thing but other was that she noted it and went slower explaining that she would take her time due to my anxiety. We also discussed my issues with lifting and how she could help remedy that on her end...i am pleased to say that I feel she is my new person! I dont know how she feels about that but im happy! My nails although a pretty penny are amazing and well worth it!!!! Thank you very much read more

Hi everyone! I've been working in West Covina & Covina for over 20 years. After Top Service Nail salon sold to a new owner, I left, and I was bouncing around different nail salons. After going through all the hectic nail salons and difficult salons owners, I finally found BELEZA'S salon ( not a regular nail salon) Very clean, unique. I have my own studio room separate from other hair/nail technicians. Very quiet. I work by appointment only. If you have seen pictures of my works, please be patient and make an appointment, sometimes I get books really fast. Please don't give up, try to set up an appointment ahead of time, I'm sure I will make you happy. Thank you all !

The walls were dirty, the baseboards were dusty, they had stuff duct taped on the chairs that were falling apart. The furniture and pillows were mismatched and the hallway to the restroom had a shredded curtain and wasn't well maintained in the back. Bathroom was pretty dirty too. * There were only three technicians working on a Saturday and the overall quality of service reflected that. *They did have AC which felt nice during this hot summer, but other than not much else going for this place. Although Cathy is usually booked by appointment, I typically see Mimi or Sami, and they both do an excellent job. They also accept walk-ins, which is convenient. There's another nail technician who wears either a cross or pearl necklace (I don't know her name), and she does beautiful manicures as well. Like most businesses, their prices have increased over the years, but I still find them reasonable for the quality of work. During my most recent visit, I got a basic pedicure ($23) and a manicure. Cathy repaired one of my natural nails using builder gel and powder, and my nails turned out beautiful. My total, including a $5 tip for each technician, came to $78. If you're getting gel polish, keep in mind it's an additional $10, which is clearly communicated. Overall, the staff is friendly, the salon is clean, and I've trusted them with my nails for over seven years.
