I visited Hyper Kidz yesterday with my 12 months old baby girl and she had a blast! No shoes are allowed, just socks, remember to bring your socks and your little ones socks as well! This place is a little overwhelming at first but to be fair, It only looks that way until you find the age appropriate section for your child, which didn't take too long at all! Hyper Kidz is a great place for kids to burn some energy. In the back they have a section for smaller kids, like my daughter. They have an awesome little pond thats it's like a water bed, (no real water) my daughter loved It, she also loved the ball pit and the balloons! There were so many cool things, I had so much fun watching her play and figure stuff out, like the balls that get sucked up and float around in one of the play areas! I really appreciate that this place has things to do for all ages, up to ~10 years old! Hyper Kids is a very clean place and they have a nursing room too! When you arrive, you fill out some information and a waiver on tablets, there are 3-4 tablets but on a busy day, I can see how It would take forever to wait for. I came here on a Tuesday and I had to wait about 5 minutes to fill out the waiver and then you have to go over to pay, which didn't take long. (I do really appreciate that they do give military discount!) the other thing is, when you enter, you get stamped but on the way out, no one checked our stamps, I just walked out, so I do feel like that could be an issue (God forbid) but just Incase. All in all, this place is awesome and I would come back again with my little one, they do get really crowded though, so I would recommend calling to see how busy they are or come on a weekday! read more

Their equipment hasn't aged very well from when they first opened. There are holes in the floor, equipment not working as intended and rules not being enforced. It is kinda annoying that as they had time to adjust to new concerns, more and more rules have been added (but most of their guest don't follow them). It seems as they wanted to have customers follow the rules so that they can cut down on employees. Last time I was there, there were no employees on the floor - as I made a point to specifically look. A big disappointed is that there is literally not enough space for everything they crammed in there. Adding people only makes it worse. It really would of helped if they had a more open concept with room to comfortably explore. As a parent with a child who has a deadly allergy .... food options sucks. There was a time I could bring in outside snacks. ThAt has since changed. It's sad that it's not unlimited play for us bc I can't grab a snack and let her continue to play like others. For those of you not aware, there is a recent occurrence on 4/9/18 with Hyper Kidz that is causing me to regret the purchase of a two-visit CertifiKID voucher. In summary, a mother complained that she was told she could not breastfeed in public at Hyper Kidz, although Maryland law makes it illegal for women to be prevented from doing so. Her complaint was marked as abuse by the administrator of the Hyper Kidz Facebook page and therefore removed, who then posted a very offensive statement regarding breastfeeding and approaching breastfeeding mothers and telling them to use the Lactation Room. This post was deleted and the owner of Hyper Kidz posted a retraction statement. Although this was much appreciated, the retraction statement has since been deleted, which I find suspicious and incredibly unethical. read more

Great place for toddlers! We went for the first time yesterday and my two year old loved it! Very fun positive environment and everyone was very nice. This was the absolute worst children's play place that I have ever been to and I have been to many. It was most definitely over capacity to where I felt that it was a safety issue. I don't know why there were SO many adults in there either. The staff was young and clueless and some of them were even hanging around out front kissing on each other. They also seem like they don't have a clue how to interact with children. The infant and toddler area is for children 2 and under yet some of the equipment is for 15lbs and under. Please tell me how you expect a 2 year old to abide by that. Considering my 3 month old is pushing 15 pounds, this is a major issue for big kids. My 2 year old is 35 pounds! Part of the birthday parties is a dance party in which the lights are turned off. That is so dangerous for the kids playing! Not only can it scare some little kids, but they cannot see in the play equipment and could get hurt! It is also dangerous for their personal safety with all of these random adults in there. Most of the hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. The bathrooms were filthy. You could not pay me to return here. read more

Great place to sit and read while your kid gets to run and play. The weekend was super crowded but the weekday was really enjoyable!!! I got to sit and read and my kid got to play!! Win win!!!! Now there is ONE thing I would change. Comfortable seats for adults! I slide right off those white chairs. The thing that impressed me a lot today was seeing them constantly cleaning! If I could give zero stars I would. When choosing to take our children to places like this we really like to make sure that it's safe, well staffed, clean and organized. Hyper Kidz does not meet any of this criteria. I'll try to keep this brief but I feel that parents should know what they are getting into. When we got there it was packed. I mean you couldn't move which isn't surprising but the check in is horrible, time consuming and no one is there to help. When we finally got in both kids took off and my husband I decided each of us is in charge of one child, good thing we did this. The big climbing structure is nothing special and very dangerous. There is a drop from a third story to the bottom before you go down the slides, you wouldn't see it if you didn't look down. There is an area inside that has 3 levels of a fabric criss cross structure, multiple kids were stuck in it and crying and my husband had to bail out 2 of them. We saw a baby ( A BABY) at one point crawling through, though this is not the fault of the staff but it does speak about the type of audience this kind of place attracts (parents that don't tend to their children). By the end of our stay both children had injured themselves in . We came with a few other friends and their children and after 40 mins of hell the kids wanted to leave and we were on board. I won't even touch the bathrooms but they were filthy and broken off toilet pieces were on the ground. We went to the mall right after and decided that letting them play at that play place, walk around and use the carousel was a much better choice. Choose quality over quantity, this place won't last and we won't be returning. *wanted to update... we have had many family's since our experience, come and go from there and have told us how dangerous it was. Chaotic getting in and out. Owner should consider making entrance and exit sperate. Building is already set up to facilitate this. Would not cost much. Once inside the kids will love it. Overall what matters is the kids having fun. I like that they use different stamps to make sure you are not leaving with a kid you didn't come with. Do use this for a rainy day when you promised you'll take them to a playground. Not ideal for birthdays since main area is shared and again chaotic. Don't go if you are not planning to be running around with your child. You will lose them quick. At a lot of places, the patents can watch from a far as the kids play. This is not that place. Bring socks. The ones they give you for $2 if you forget will not be socks you will want to keep or ever reuse. read more

My kids love it here. I do not. Lots to do for highly energetic kids but it gets too crowded to the point where you can't keep a good eye on your kids. I've had issues with parents who don't care what their kids are doing. One little boy decided to shove my daughter to the ground as she was going up one of the steps to the slide, just to get her out of his way. The same one rammed into other kids (including a very small child) going down the ball pit slide because he decided he wasn't going to wait for them to move. His mother stood there doing nothing, rolling her eyeballs while other parents were giving her looks. She didn't care. She didn't check to see if those kids were hurt. She didn't offer a single apology to any of those kids or their parents. The staff was too busy dealing with the chaos in this place to do anything and I highly doubt she'd have gotten kicked out. I wish places like this would ban kids who behave this way (3 strikes rule), but I'm sure that will anger parents who defend the actions of their unruly kids (ie - they're just kids, it's normal. So what?). In fairness, there have been other instances where I've encountered parents and kids who apologized if they did something wrong. However, I've been soured over too many situations like the one I mentioned. The entire state of MD comes here so you will get all kinds of characters and it will always be crowded unless it's a weekday morning. I would advise parents with small children to keep an eye out for unruly kids. read more

I am so glad that we have an indoor play place in our area. It is larger than I expected it to be, and it is definitely engaging for toddlers to young kids. I was also impressed by their cleaning process, which is described online. It gave me comfort to know that they sanitize safely. If you have more than one little one that needs to be supervised, I definitely recommend going with more than one adult because it can be overwhelming to keep track of more than one little - running, climbing, etc.. They have been quite busy since their grand opening, so at this time I highly advise checking the Facebook page or calling ahead to see if they are at capacity. I think my 22 month old will be able to more fully enjoy it when the crowds settle down and it's not as packed, but I definitely see it as a place she can grow with! read more

Waited in line for 20 minutes only to be told when I got to the front that I had to go sign a waiver first on a computer! No signage anywhere letting me know this information. Had to get out of line, fill out waiver and then get back in line to wait another 15 minutes to pay for the ticket in. I was very frustrated at this point! The play area place is cool but was very over crowded, dirty and many areas were unattended. I could never tell who was a staff member while walking around keeping an eye on my son. Staff members floating around would help keep kids safe and behaving while on the play area equipment. The bathroom was dirty and without paper towels. I told a worker about the bathroom and he just laughed at me. Probably won't be returning any time soon! The only reason I'm giving the place 2 stars is because my kid had a good time. Hopefully the next time he requests going there it will have made some changes. I'd love to be able to update my review. read more

I went here for two birthday parties over the weekend. This place is just awesome for kids! I practically had to drag my 6 yr old and 9 yr old out of there afterwards. I love that they can still play after the party ends and not be rushed out like some other kids party venues. A lot of people are saying it's overwhelming for adults...that may be the case in the weekends but that's because the place is brand new and super unique (also a lot of people are probably using the online deal). They are very rude and obnoxious there. Website promises continuous open playtime and no limitations. We show up and say no admission cause full. When I mentioned the promise on the website, I was told I have no common sense and show always call before even though the website promised to be open play. As seen below, management cannot even admit when they are rude and disrespectful to guests. Put the blame on customers. They can give no promise of timeframe as stated below. I see multiple other reviews on yelp saying same thing. Need to update website saying no guarantee for walk-ins because birthday parties come first always! Let me start by saying this: I was VERY worried about throwing a party at Hyper Kidz - new business, some concerning reviews ... just unknown in general. I booked my son's 6 year old birthday party even before the place was open for business. After reading a few concerning reviews, I decided to meet with the party coordinator, Skylar, and that, itself, made me feel 90% better about my choice. She made sure all of my concerns were listened to and all my questions were answered appropriately. But I was still a bit worried about it. We had a lot of people, VIP guests, and all I wanted was to please my son and give him the best birthday ever, AND give my guests, ALL OF THEM, a wonderful time with their family while celebrating my son. His party was yesterday (Sat 14th) and It was amazing! Since we had the first party of the day, we had the party room to ourselves for the full 2 hours. I got to be there at 10am in order to make sure everything was going according to the plan. Mariz was my party helper. She had already set the party room once we arrived, which made me feel bad as I had brought our own theme table cloths , plates, napkins, etc. She immediately took care of everything, with a smile on her face and she was nothing but gracious and amazing throughout the whole process. There were a lot of kids in my kids party, and things can get chaotic at a party room. It never happened! Mariz made sure to be on top of EVERYTHING the whole time... The entire time! That was much appreciated. The food: we had ordered 11 pizzas, chicken trays and fruit platters. EVERYTHING was delicious. I have read reviews of people complaining of the food being cold, or not up to their standards. Honestly, I do not know how to respond to that... I guess they have changed something, because our pizza was very good , warm and the chicken was delicious as well. The fruit was good as well... nothing big there. We are the kind of family who likes high quality food, so I was incredibly surprised by the fact that the pizza tasted like PIZZA and not cardboard or rubber dough, and that the chicken was real chicken versus the kind of junk some stores sell out there. The place: I was there at Opening Day and noticed the capacity was at 471. I was surprised to see that it went down to 355. IT WAS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN! For a Saturday, I had told my guests that the place would be packed so they should be prepared for it. IT NEVER HAPPENED. It was busy, obviously, but it never felt overwhelming. I was comfortable letting my 2 year old play by himself in the big playground structure , even though I lost sight of him quite a few times, because the place was not crowded. I felt he was safe at all times, and I was always able to get a hold of him when needed. Dance Floor - I have read some discouraging reviews about their "Dance Floor Party". Honestly, I am not sure what people expect. An hour after the party starts, the kids are called to the Dance Floor, and a Bubble machine let's a few bubbles out. In the meantime, we had the Mascot come out to greet our children. I was asked before hand if I wanted that to happen or if my children would be afraid of it. He came out and they all had a blast. AS SOON AS that is done , the door was opened and we went into the party room to eat our food and cake. Again, Mariz, our party helper, was fantastic and took care of every one, from serving to cutting the cake, cleaning up and all. Just a background info: I grew up watching my family members run a kids party business. I graduated in Hotel Management and worked in Events at a 5 Star Hotel, while living in Brazil. I work with kids on a daily basis now. When I am spending a thousand dollars on my kids birthdays, I have VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS. Hyper Kidz exceed my expectations. They went above and beyond what was promised in my contract and made sure we were happy with EVERYTHING . Their whole staff was very friendly, including the owners whom I had the pleasure of talking briefly with while checking out. Again, I have only wonderful things to say about the party and if you have any doubts about booking a party with them, I say, just do it. The kids had a BLAST, the parents were very happy ( some told me that it was one of the best- if not the best - kids parties they have ever been too - amazing idea in adding seats for the parents in the party room), and my child was over the moon. I drove down from PA to try out Hyper Kidz. My twins are 8 and we met 4 friends there, who all live in the area. We all arrived between 5 & 5:30 PM on a Friday. While it was busy, we did not have trouble filling out waivers, finding a cubby to put our stuff in or even finding a seat while the kids played. The bathrooms were clean and I liked the footy idea. Drinks were pricey and I was bummed about that, but since you can pay a small fee and play there for hours......I could hardly complain. It is very loud!!! If you are going there to hang out and talk. Expect to yell most of the time. Our kids LOVED it (all of it: play structures, music, colors, etc) and played until closing. If I did not live so far away, I would def. go back. read more

Well, let me start by saying when we first visited Hyper Kidz it was great and our little one loved it. But thats also with saying it was a early Saturday morning. We arrived around opening time and left about 11am! We enjoyed it so much that we made the decision to celebrate our son's 4th birthday there. Unfortunately we should have read the reviews about this place before making that decision because when we arrive just this past Sunday it was a madhouse!! Complete chaos!! Unlike most establishment that host kids party especially toddlers the playrooms and areas are separate. This place was completely overwhelming and overcrowded!! When we first walked in we were overwhelmed with the amount of people that were there in the waiting area trying to either do the online waivers, check in for birthday parties, waiting to go into the play area and lastly take off their personal belongings and store them into a cubby holes or lockers provided in the waiting/check in area. And just for future reference if you decide to rent a lock for your locker and you're not there early just keep in mind they probably won't have any left because they have 50+ lockers but only have 25 locks! As our family and friends start to arrive you can only imagine the look of complete surprise on their faces. Not only were we face with trying to gather in a complete chaotic waiting area. But also face with trying to figure out how we were going to keep track of our little ones as they were playing. Once we entered the play area we noticed the staff to children ratio was little to none. To ever 5+ child playing on the slides or climbing on the nets there were one to 2 staffers. Which means the the employees were overwhelm with the amount of kids playing. On the slides we noticed pushing and also multiple kids coming down before the slide was completely cleared. In my opinion Hyper Kidz seems a little under staff for what they have to deal with. So with that being said that added most stress and anxiety to what I was already feeling! Next was what they called a dance party that was included in their package. The dance floor provided a dance area with lights and bubble a machine. Our expectations were a little too high I guess because from what we saw we were not impress. Granite the kids had fun jumping around and dancing while watching the lights the bubble machine was not working. We have to tell an employee that it was leaking and the kids were running through the mess on the floor. Eventually a staffer comes over and puts a bagqqq over the bubble machine that hangs over the dance floor to try and stop the leak. That help for maybe about 5 minutes. Once we explained to staff there was the potential of a child falling and hurting themselves he then chose to go get a cup and tried to hold it at the point of where the leak was coming from. Eventually he gave up and decided to stay to prevent the kids from running through the mess. Finally we made it to the party room away from the chaotic scene out in the play area. All the kids were seated and ready to enjoy their pizza and drinks. First thing we noticed was what they call their colossal pizza that's included in their package which we ordered 3 and chicken tenders. The pizzas were basically the size of a medium. And their way of providing 2 slices per child is by taking a slice of pizza and slicing it in half in order to give them 2 slices. They provided us with 1 pitcher of water and they gave the kids 1 box of 4oz Apple juice. Remind you we have toddlers who just finished playing and dancing around but ok!! We had a total of 20 kids and thats not including adults to share 1 pitcher of water. There was only 1 employee assigned to our room which I felt really bad for her and began helping her serve our guess. Lastly I will leave parents with this Hyper Kidz can be a fun place for your child. But for the price we paided we expected more. Which every parent does for their little ones!! But if you're looking for somewhere to enjoy your toddlers birthday party with family friends in a not so much madhouse setting then I definitely dont recommend this place. read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR A BIRTHDAY PARTY....Let me first say, I do not like to solely make a determination to visit or not visit a location based on reviews alone. As everyone's experience and expectations are different. However, I should of listened to the many negative reviews for this place in regards to the Birthday Parties. I did read one of the mangers response to a customers complaint and did not care for his tone nor attitude however we have been to Hyper Kidz before during the ONLY off peak minutes 9am - 945am (middle of the week) and my son did enjoy it. TWO WORDS...Absolutely Disappointing. We walked into the door last Sunday at 1:30 pm for my son's 4th Birthday and immediately was greeted by an overwhelming chaotic mess. We knew celebrating his birthday on a weekend would be busy and there was no expectation that it would not be, as we know this location is popular. But "busy" was not what we walked into, we walked into an absolute rip roaring, unsupervised, maniac fun house. Let's start with the entrance process. So everyone to include adults must fill out a waiver - that is fine as I understand liability. However, all waivers must be completed online and ONLY two out of the four tablets were working. Once the waiver was completed, you then had to find a pen to sign your name and child's name on a clip board for the party you were attending. Once the second step was done, one of the two young ladies would ask for your name and verify the waivers were complete. Once those steps were completed, you were then clear to take off and store your belongings. They did have enough unsecured space to store your belongings however when asked if we could secure our items and rent a lock for the lockers, they said they were out. Not sure how you have 25 or more lockers (several available) and 10 locks. Now that you have had no choice but to place your items in an unsecured location, you then walked to the entrance gate and had a stamp placed on your hand and your child's. Now let me remind you, the stamps are supposed to match. I did approve of this until we went to exit, and I was holding my son in my arms. The young man scanned my stamp as well as his and they did not match. He then only asked if my son came in with someone else? I said no and he is my son. The young man took my word for it and let me walk right out the door without having a second verification plan in place. Once inside the play area, it was an absolute mad house. This facility was way over capacity to safely monitor the total amount of children. There was no staff in the play area's to include not one staff member at the cargo net which has approximately a 10 foot drop to a trampoline on the bottom. I personally witnessed the lights in the back of the facility randomly turning off for 5-10 minutes leaving a portion of the cargo area very dim and causing sheer panic in the younger kids. You had younger children being run over constantly by older children and a lot of pushing and shoving due to the overload of kids. I do understand parents bear a responsibility to supervise their child however not many parents want to climb around an overcrowded jungle gym nor was there an ability to do so due to the abundance of kids. It will be only a matter of time before a child gets seriously hurt at this location. After the hour of play time, there was a 15 minute so called "dance party" (included in the overpriced package) at the back of the facility which included a broken and leaking bubble machine. Why you would have bubbles on a slippery dance surface in the first place is beyond me. Now that the dance party was completed you then get to spend 45 minutes in your own party room. I can say they did a good job with the decorations and table settings we choose to provide. Once inside the room 3 MEGA/COLOSSAL (as advertised) pizzas came with our party. In reality we received 3 medium sized pizza's. Just a WARNING it clearly states each child will receive two pieces of pizza. Now they didn't lie, the kids received two pieces of pizza HOWEVER these pizzas are not mega nor colossal. In order to provide each kid with two pieces of pizza, the hostess actually cut regular sized pieces of pizza in half creating two SLIVERS of pizza. My four year old kids where even asking why the pieces where so small. The juice boxes where 4 oz. boxes (maybe three gulps) and they provided 20 four year olds with one pitcher of water. At one point our hostess disappeared and we had to track her down to get another pitcher of water and a lighter for the cake. We helped her serve the kids and helped her clean up as 20 kids, all though very behaved, was overwhelming for one hostess to handle. I never like to write long drawn out and negative reviews however if my review saves parents from disappoint and wasting a ridiculous amount of money, then it is worth it. We will never attend nor have a birthday party at this location again. read more

I had a birthday party for my daughters a couple weeks ago. The party itself was adequate. I had an issue with the cost of the cake we ordered through Hyperkidz. When I ordered - the order sheet was for a quality cake from a nice local bakery. The day of the party I was given a grocery store bought cake. For what I paid - I thought this was something that needed to be remedied by hyperkidz. I have called multiple times, left voicemails, and e-mailed without ANY response from Hyperkidz. It is very poor business practice to not even respond to a guest's concerns. The least they could do is apologize for the misrepresentation of the goods being provided. I am disappointed that a place that is supposed to be family oriented and friendly has so little respect for their customers. read more

I went with my 2 year old granddaughter and she had a fantastic time. What I didn't like was the dad sitting in the balls at the end of the slide for 20 minutes. I know he was having fun but this was for toddlers and he took up too much room! Lol also, the dad sitting on the platform behind the slides throwing balls at his 7 or 8 year old. The child was throwing balls back at him. They were throwing these balls very hard at each other. No one told them to stop and there were small children trying to slide and play there. So the staff ignored this but wouldn't let some little old lady take a slide down. I know the slide isn't for adults, but you know......the men lol Also, if you're in charge of the 2 year old area, please try to be more pleasant and smile once in a while. We had several kids from ages 2 months to 10 years of age in our group if 30 and EVERY one of them had an ABSOLUTE BLAST with NO TIME LIMIT on the fun! This place is oh so cute. I love how it grows with your child so it goes from crawlers to 7 years old and the equipment is very versatile, injury proof which is a plus, bright fun colors and multi use so even if your child goes weekly every time they go they will find new ways to use the equipment, furniture, and toys. I also enjoyed having a seat for the parents near every toy so I could look on as my daughter attempted to roll around. I would have loved for the bubble maker to work throughout the night however it was only turned on when it was time for someone hosting a private party to have a dance party. My daughter loves bubbles. For babies crawling there wasn't much for them even in the months to 2 area. I would make this a weekly trip once my daughter is walking and moving all around. Lastly some of the kids the older ones were a little to rambunctious and I feel an employee should have addressed that. They looked to be almost too old for hyper kids. This place is amazing the staff is wonderful. The mangers are wonderful they help out in every way possible. The place is clean. There is always a person in each zone to keep an eye on the children. The bathrooms are super clean. When you walk in the door it smells super clean. I love Hyper Kidz and so do my kids. read more

I would give this place a 3.5. Overall, fun place especially when the weather is crummy. I even enjoyed myself...though I am paying for all the bending and twisting with back pain now. If you have young kids you can loose them very easily. Our nanny turned her back to speak to our eldest and my 2 year old darted off into the big play area. His little legs moved fast and we struggled to find him through the maze. My 2 older kids 6&9 had a blast. I love how there isn't a time limit. We spent 3.5 hours there and my kids were actually tired and fell asleep on the car ride home. These are kids that are never still even while watching TV. I didn't like how few staff there were. There should be a staff member by the big slides and the web. Kids were dropping down the web and landing on kids below. My eldest kids came to get me since they were worried about a little girl crying for her mom because some boys dropped on top of her in the web. Kids were climbing up the big slide or pushing each other...this was when they weren't attended. When staff were there they patrolled appropriately. Staff members don't have name tags, but today there was an employee that had a hearing aid. She was great and told a kid to stop licking the balls and put the balls to the side to be cleaned. Another staff also at the ball pit gave her flack about taking them out (knowing that the kid was licking them) then threw them back into the ball pit. So some of the staff seem more invested in the kids well being and others are lazy and inconsiderate. The cleanliness of the place probably won't last long since people were eating all over the place and not in a designated area. read more

My main problem I have with this place and maybe I can be wrong because I took my kids here when they first open was that it's no limit on people coming in even when it's seems full they just let more and more people in to play which is no problem if it was a bigger play area but it's is small in my opinion. read more
