Love this place, although it's small and conjusted but my kids had awesome time. I do suggest them to have some healthy food items because it was lunch time and they only had miscellaneous items and beverages nothing else. Parents don't always carry food. Was there on at Saturday, from 3:30 to 5. Place was crowded but it doesn't take long to get in. They have a dance floor near the back for birthday hosting, which they turn off the light quiet often, making the play area on the side very dark. So Hypr Kidz is awesome BUT very overwhelming. The equipment is cool and appealing and both my children (one and three) had a blast and definitely got their energy out. I highly recommend once the buzz dies down (they just opened in Feb 2018). So here are my concerns. First the age of playing (1-13) is too great. Little kids are really at risk of getting mowed down. They have staff monitoring play areas but at the current volume of customers they are not really able to keep up. Second, by the bathrooms there is a long hall and at the end of the hall are exits. There is a sign that says "Employee's Only" but kids can't read so keep your eyes on it. Finally, if you have two small kids like me, I do not recommend going without a second pair of hands. The climbing equipment is like a maze and kids are fast and it can be very overwhelming to try to keep eyes on each child and hands near to prevent them from major falls or getting shot in the face with a foam ball (that actually kinda hurts!). read more

Incredibly disappointed to arrive at Hyper Kidz to be met at the door by someone informing us that only kids attending birthday parties could enter today. This is despite their website stating that walk ins were welcome EVERY DAY, with NO RESTRICTIONS! There was nothing on their website stating that one of the great things about their business was, in fact, not true today. Left with two very sad kids, and two very irritated parents. read more

Your kiddos will absolutely love it here if they have endless energy & curiosity, and aren't deterred by large crowds, loud noises and overall sensory overload. I made the mistake of bringing my 4 and 1 year old with no additional adult hands to help. There is no way to keep an eye on both kids at once. It's impossible. So the biggest downside is that I can't properly look after both of my kids at once in this place. I went through spurts of 20 min at a time not knowing where my 4yr old was, which makes me very uncomfortable. I also noticed an abundance of children searching for their parents at any given time. Next time I will bring another set of adult hands with me. read more

In the past 2 weekends I've been here for birthday parties and its been the most eye-raising experience ever! I feel sorry for those who pay to have their kids parties here. Its a cute, fun place for children and the staff are all friendly but the party planning sucks. Times are never accurate for the party rooms. Check-in process is horrible. I could've walked right in for free! For all the money charged to host these parties here its not worth it. Servers/party hosts seem overwhelmed and were cross contaminating with the kids cups at the 1st birthday party. No interaction with the kids at all. The ultimate fail was tonite when the service was so poor for my nephew's party that it warranted a full refund and one of the owners nor his staff knew how to operate their POS systems to refund the card charged. Absolutely embarrassing. I'd pay cash for any services I choose to purchase there moving forward in the event I even choose to return. Hopefully this place of chaos is a work in progress and will improve their customer service soon. read more

The good - my son loved it! He's four, almost five, and has an absolute blast with everything. He especially loved the statue of Jack Sparrow ;) The not so great - chairs aren't the most comfortable...a CAN of Coke was $2.11...I saw staff members picking children up?? Two times, two different staff members. Kinda weird - once was to hand the kid over the wall to their parent who was in the shoe corral area. The other time the staff member was just carrying the kid from the other end of the play area and walking towards the front and handed the kid to the Mom when she walked up. For one, I would assume that would be a huge liability for the business in the event a child is injured. Secondly, as a parent, I would be pretty outraged if a stranger picked my child up. One thing to note - there is no signage or anything letting you know the age/size for each area. My son and I wandered into the "baby" area and a staff member seemed very annoyed we were over there - this was the same staffer that had checked us in and when I told her it was our first time, gave no tips or descriptions about the different play areas. Overall, a fun place, I'm sure the kinks will be worked out over time. read more

I do not know if I would bring my 8 year old back here as he got easily bored but 6 and under is probably the sweet spot for the best age range. Really great addition to Columbia. read more

I had my daughter's 3rd birthday party today at Hyper Kidz. I will start with the pros about this place, but unfortunately, they are outweighed by the cons. It's a fun place for children and the staff are nice. I like how they had a separate section for children age 2 and under. They also had a separate room for breastfeeding moms to nurse. As for the cons, the place is too small for the amount of people they allow. It seems like it exceeds their capacity and its chaotic. When you book a party, you receive an email confirmation. On the email, they have a bullet stating " 2-hour party: 1 hour, 15 mins open play time (including a dance party on the interactive dance floor) and 45 minuntes in a private Party Room for pizza and cake)." The dance party on the inactive dance floor is for all children, not just the children attending your party. There isn't any exclusive access whatsoever, everything is public. For example, when you book a party at Launch Trampoline (located around the corner) they designate play areas exclusively for your party. During the dance party, there were so many children on the dance floor that my children were being pushed and couldn't enjoy that portion of the party. I don't recommend this place for parties. They have invisible stamps for parents and children for entry into the play area but the exit door by the "snack area" was cracked open with a door stopper and unattended. When you walk in, you are supposed to take off your shoes prior to entering the play area but we witnessed a few people including someone from our party with their shoes on in the play area. They said they weren't told to remove them. We voiced our concerns to Skylar. She had a great attitude and tried to make up for the things we complained about. After the party they ask you to fill out a card rating the party coordinator's communication, the host, check in process, and food. I gave those things 4 stars. read more

My daughter had her second birthday party last week at Hyperkidz the party was fine and I paid extra to have an additional hour so when the party was over I was trying to get everything out of the room into the lobby so we can go home I had a box with chips & juices I had left over with my daughter prize bag ,cup and bucket inside the box so I could not give it away to anyone so with everything that was going on and the storm started outside when I was trying to get everything to the car I thought I had my box I got home and I was looking for my daughter prizes I could not find it I called the store they were closed I call around to my family they said they seen the young lady a staff worker take it into the office so the next morning I called which the lines wasn't on at 11am more like 1123-1130 I ask was my box was left there they said yes I ask why would they take it if my party was still there why no one never asked was we leaving it so I made them aware I was coming to pick it up I went there that evening my box was there but someone had been through it my daughter cup and prizes were missing I ask the on-call manager where was her items she said she wasn't there that evening she will ask at this point I was upset because my daughter didn't get her prizes or her cup from her party I requested a call from the owners they never called the member to me the owners called but called the wrong number but never try to call me again so at this point the staff member called offering me 10.00 I told her I do not live in this area so she offer to give me a credit I told her I would not be returning to this place it's a place for kids and the staff are stealing from kids and it's fine that the owners haven't returned my call but what else can I say your staff is stealing from you as well read more

I've been trying to contact them regarding a birthday party that I had to schedule from March, and they aren't responding. When you call the message says to press 5 to speak to someone, and that just replays the same message that tells you to press 5! The message also tells you to check their website and Facebook page for updates. The website has no updates at all and they have completely deleted their Facebook page, which is a red flag for me. Why delete your Facebook page, when your message when calling says to check your Facebook page for updates? Are you permanently closed? Are you stealing people's money that have paid for parties at your facility? I just want my money back that I have paid! I see that I'm going to have to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office, the Better Business Bureau, and Federal Trade Commission. Maybe they'll respond to them! Or possibly a lawyer. I am not the only who has had problems with them not responding. Not a good way to do business! read more

My four little boys had an amazing time (ages 6, 5, 3, 7mo). The staff was very friendly and they were obviously on a cleaning rotation, I liked that. We stayed for four hours. As anticipated, it was very loud and very busy (Saturday afternoon). My 3 year old was confident playing in all areas, I could hardly keep up with him. The baby loved the little "pond" and I loved that the staff kept the older children out (even my own) so the babies could crawl/walk around without getting trampled on. Oh one more thing, there was a sweet little lactation room. Baby and I needed the escape from the noise and chaos and it was such a lovely room. read more

My boys LOVED this place!! We went on a blisteringly hot day, so it was probably more crowded than usual. I normally hate crowded places, but this was ok. There were enough seats for the grown-ups, and I was up and moving around most of the time anyway, to watch my boys play. It is set up well, so that no particular play space seemed too crowded with kids. I love that there are not timed sessions, as there are at many places like this. We got there when it was convenient for us, and we stayed as long as we liked (which happened to be a very long time). Well done, Hyper Kidz! We will be back! Although not tomorrow like my kids want. My cousin had his party at this place this weekend. Everything was nice the party host was perfect, the friendly staff, etc. The only problem I had was the party specialist she was very rude & I heard her gossiping about other employee's.That's not appropriate for this sort of business. My older kids heard her. Which is not acceptable. I would recommend this place for play but for parties I wouldn't want to communicate with somebody that rude to book a party for my child. I liked this place, but honestly staff and your manager are extremely rude. it was two ladies in a white employee shirt. One was light skin short hair and the other she told me she was a manager. Extremely rude, I had a couple of questions she seem to have an attitude the whole time, so I asked to speak to a manager. Manager took an extremely long time coming out the office as I was standing there watching them the whole time. She came and as I was explaining to her what was going on and tried to ask my question. It's like she was in a rush to get me out of her face and to continue sitting back in the office. Really unprofessional,whom ever owns this place you need to have better managers and staff. Employees in the zones seem like they just did not care if a child got hurt or not. They just stood there or walked the opposite direction like if they never saw it. Attended for a birthday party this past Saturday and the place was a zoo which is sort of expected since it was a Saturday night however I was not impressed with the staff especially one young lady at the counter who needs some customer service training. I was with a family member who used her email address for her husband and herself as they only have one email address and the girl at the counter got smart with her saying "that is the reason we put instructions over there." She explained to the girl that they only have one email address and she told her "well I guess you need to go make one up". With so much going on and the number of people there I did not want to leave my shoes especially since there is a sign saying they are not liable and asked if I could just put them in my purse and was told no. Then I entered the party room and others had their shoes and said they were told they could bring them to the party room. When I walked back to the front and brought my shoes no one said anything or stopped me. After reading some of the post I understand they have shoe covers which was not offered. I understand not having the shoes on the equipment but I am not a fan of walking into a bathroom with no shoes with the potential of walking on a wet floor not knowing if it is water or something else. read more

We took the grandkids there today. While the kids were getting a drink an employee started screaming at a father!!! I directed my granddaughter out of the area where you buy drinks and we went to another area so she couldn't see the altercation. The place is good but it is VERY CROWDED. When we first go there it was SO HOT! After a while they turned on the A/C and it was COLD! They haven't determined what temperature to keep the air at yet. It will be some time before this place is ready for prime time!!! And if the children they have working there can't control their tempers, then they shouldn't be around kids! Also, it is hard to keep a watch on multiple children there because of the size of the place! They do stamp your hands like chuck-e-cheese but it doesn't keep you from panicking walking around looking for your kids. The parents can go in all tunnels with the kids and to find their kids. No one wears shoes in there and coats are just thrown everywhere. They do have a few very small lockers. The food is over priced. The chairs they have there are very uncomfortable --if you get a moment to sit down. The line to get in was HUGE! And they don't tell you that you have to sign a waiver before you can even get in the door!!!! WOW! It's a great idea...but has a lot of work before it will be 5 stars read more
