I've gone to a number of Hyphen wine tastings and have picked up wine or champagne for a party or a real estate closing for a client. It has everything you'd want in a wine shop; welcoming customer service, clean environment and an endless selection of natural wines.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I went in to peruse and walked out with a couple bottles of wine that came recommended from the kind owner. I got a delicious pool wine that was easy to sip on and grabbed a bottle of orange wine for my brother. I also got some dark chocolate that turned out to be the perfect compliment to my wine. I love when this happens. You're just walking by and notice something new. You stop in and are pleasantly surprised. This happened a few days ago at hyphen wines. We were in the area to visit out favorite store in PS, Pelago when we realized it had recently closed. We were sad and stunned. As we wandered around the several surrounding blocks, we noticed hyphen and stopped in. First impression: a quaint, inviting wine shop with organic and natural wines. We were curious. The owner was friendly and helpful. He answered hubby's questions and made suggestions at our request. We left with a bottle of rose and a red that we had never heard of. We tried the red that night - a pinotage from South Africa. What a delight! Unique and surprising. We plan to stop by again on our way out of town to get another of the same and maybe something else interesting. Prices seemed reasonable and the experience overall was FUN. Highly recommend that you stop by and check it out for yourself. read more

Not only a well rounded store, all the products have integrity , and they have things that rarely get shelf space in this town such as dry sherry, red sparkling, Nebbiolo, and aged burgundy. My father in law and I came here based on the previous reviews and I'm so happy we did!! We purchased about 9 bottles and they were all FANTASTIC! The owner listened to everything we wanted and steered of in the right direction and gave excellent recommendations. I was blown away by the Chiantis, Chardonnays and Pinot noirs we got. But the Bordeaux's and Cabs were also magnificent. So happy we landed here. Our thanksgiving weekend was awesome and these bottles were the topic of conversation throughout. The best selection of wines (all natural) I have encountered in the whole CV. The owner is VERY knowledgeable and every time he's recommended a wine for me, he's been spot on. I'm adventurous and am happy to see such a great selection of Eastern European wines as well as worldwide. The space is not too big to be overwhelming, always clean and the customer service is EXCELLENT. I'm giving up my Naked Wines subscription because even though their prices can be good, the selection rarely changes and I prefer to support such a wonderful local business. read more

Love this new wine store on N Palm Cyn! It is rare to find natural wines for sale and here is an entire shop filled with them! And if you don't know the difference between natural wines and other wines, stop in and talk to John, the owner. He quickly versed us in Natural Wines 101. We found a wide selection in all price points, whites, reds, bubblies, foreign and domestic. We walked in for a gift and walked out with wine for ourselves, too! Why not? It's nice to see this kind of different store front to add to the already eclectic shops on N Palm Canyon. Wine lovers should really check it out.
