    Elegant expressions wine flight
    Ricardo R.

A must visit wine tasting room in the Coachella Valley! Inside the newly opened Thompson Hotel, the owners spared no expense decorating their coveted tasting room showcasing the best of Hall Wines and their affiliated wineries. Wines (5/5) I did the elegant expressions wine tasting flight which included a 2023 Walt Pinot Noir, a 2019 Baca Zinfandel, and a 2019 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon for $59 per person. The wine flight pours are on the generous side if you compare it to the wine pours at Napa wine tasting rooms. I felt this wine tasting flight was the best option because it showcased the best of the Hall collection of wines. My favorite wine was definitely the 2019 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon because I felt it was the most well balanced wine out of the flight. My least favorite was the Zinfandel because it was a little too jammy for my taste and felt a bit unbalanced with the spicy finish. Service (5/5) The staff here are knowledgeable of the Hall Wines collection and were very friendly. I definitely felt like I was transported back into a Napa Valley tasting room with the professional service here. I made a reservation for an afternoon wine tasting on a weekend, but walk ins are easily accommodated as well. Ambience (5+/5) This space is so posh and comfortable that it will transport you to a wine oasis. The interior is immaculate with the marble counters, chevron patterned flooring, and luxurious seating options. The outdoor seating is exceptionally well equipped to handle the harsh summer heat with the water misters and shaded seating areas. The space is connected to the Thompson Hotel's lobby which is a nice touch if you're a guest staying here that needs to kill time before one's check in time.

The space is beautifully created and welcoming. Lots of comfortable seating options from solo to a group. The wine selections were perfect for a warm sunny day. I went with whites and a few bites. The staff was polite and energetic. A great addition to the area of PS.

What a great Wine Room in Palm Springs. It's Noval in PS as there aren't any real wine tasting rooms so it is definity welcome here! The wine is also really amazing and the service is exceptional. Your sommelier Doug is an expert and knows his wine. (And with a million dollar smile ). What a great experience!

    Wine flight - Pinot noir.

The flights were solid. We tried a white flight and a Pinot flight. Even though they are known for their cabs, the sauv blanc, the Shea Pinot, and the Sierra Mar Pinot were delicious. Wine is subjective so I encourage you to try for yourself. The pours are generous. The service is lovely. The space is beautiful. They even have savory bites, but we were headed to dinner so didn't try any. Would go back.

Beautiful small tasting room located inside Thompson Hotel. The wines are magnificent and the service and knowledge is spectacular! Grecia was our wine educator and she was awesome. I work in wine and was very impressed with the presentation of the wines and the history of the Hall name. They are definitely Napa prices so be ready to open the wallet up. 1000% recommend coming in and doing a tasting, grabbing a glass or even a bottle. They offer small bites too which make it perfect for an appetizer before heading to dinner.

I love the trips to Temecula, but it's a long day on the road from Palm Springs.

There was something going on that day when we walked in. They had the back area set up for a live bad and food. I don't know how often this happens, maybe during the weekend. What we like to do is get a bottle and enjoy just lounging there. It was nice out but still pretty warm. The trip was cool off a bit coming from the desert up to the mountain. So outside seating wasn't very tempting at the time. Inside, it's the winery which is pretty massive. Mainly their tasting room with the bar counter and loads of seating. Communal tables as well as group tables throughout the property. There's also a second floor which we didn't go up this time. Inside is also a showroom of artworks and trinkets. Different artists showcasing their work, handmade jewelry laid out through the whole place. Displayed items one after the other. This place was happening today with so many people popping in for some wine. I don't know if the event with the band happens often or just during the weekend but it was great. We ended up just staying inside as it was nice and cool. Picked up a bottle of the Tempranillo and made ourselves at home. The wine is quite tasty and nice. You can do a tasting which I believe is three samples. Or if you just wanted a glass that's also offered but we opted for a bottle. Snacks are also available for purchase if you would a charcuterie boards to accompany your tasting. It's very pet friendly as there were so many pups around. They too like to enjoy the party. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Chatting with the people walking in and sitting next to you. It's a good way to make new friends. The place was lively and everyone was there for the same thing. Good company, great wine and a fun afternoon out. With the artwork and all the items display, I don't know if they're there permanently or on rotate seasonally. But walking throughout and seeing everything on display, it was great. If you haven't been, it's worth a stop to have a nice tasting or a glass. A favorite of ours whenever we're in Idyllwild.

There's lots of interesting things to check out in the gallery space and a table set up serving wine and snacks. I had a delicious naked Chardonnay and the rest of my group reported enjoying their beverage selections very much. The scene in the back is where you wanna be with a relaxed atmosphere and nice local music being performed. Really neat spot in a neat little town, I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.
