They do a little tour and explanation of their process in their still room that can hold a small group of about 10 people if it's not busy. They offered some little gifts and Joshua tree trinkets inside and have mini cocktails or shot tastings. $25 for 4 mini cocktails (pictured here) which were pretty delicious. Decent outdoor seating. Really enjoyable find in our last visit to the area, even though we ended up driving all over the place after seeing a sign for them! They are tucked back in an easy to miss location. They were super friendly here, and the story of the Distillery, and the tour after tasting was very informative. We each had a tasting, one Premium and one normal so that we could sort of sample almost all of them. They were mostly excellent and really enjoyed the mouthfeel of the Whisky, vodka, and surprisingly the gin. The mixed drinks were great options as they really gave a nice ending to the tasting. I saw this place while doing some Joshua Tree research and thought it would be a fun little place to check out while we were there. Since it was along the way to where we were staying, it worked out perfectly! It's located in this business warehouse area called Monterey Business Center on Bus Center Dr in Yucca Valley where there was nothing really around. My group and I thought we were going to the wrong location until we drove further into the center where an 'Open' sign was up. There's a parking lot with ample stalls around. The actual store was quite small, something none of us expected to be honest LOL. Even some other people visiting when we left were saying the same thing. However, one of the owners was very informative and kept us very entertained throughout our visit as we did a tasting. We, however, didn't get offered to look at their distillery in which we found was a free tour later the same day (sad). There were two tasting options: one classic (pink boxes) and one premium (pink + purple boxes) of four samples to choose from. My group and I shared one tasting (as three of the four of us aren't big drinkers) and chose the classic tasting. We tried two sample shots: the whiskey and the tequila; and two cocktails: one tequila cocktail and one gin cocktail (peep at menu pic). Honestly, I'm not really educated in drinking spirits but the cocktails were quite good to us girls while we didn't fully appreciate the sample shots LOL. But it was a fun experience! A friend also ended up buying some flavored Pricklee waters and a psychedelic water drink to try later. Overall, a fun place to check out if you're around the area! They have a variety of alcohols to also purchase which we didn't do as we just wanted to do the tasting. Don't forget to ask about the free tour around their distillery! read more

This was a fun stop. The spirits are made in small batches and taste different than what you would normally expect. We Loved everything! The flavors, the experience and they even gave us a small tour which was so informative and unexpected. There was a vodka, gin, agave and whisky. All had very unique flavors profiles. We also had a tasting of their cocktails which were so yummy. Our favorites were the Tom Collin's and Vodka Tonic. We bought 3 bottles and had a memorable afternoon. They also have memberships and small kegs of their cocktails for parties, events and mixers. I love this idea for a specialty drink for showers, bridal and bachelor parties. read more

Randomly stopped by this place after a long day of hiking on the way back to our air bnb. It is impressively small for everything going on inside. We were there an hour before closing and it was just us with an employee. He was so helpful, walking us through a tasting (the giant rock gin is phenomenal). We got to try their cocktails, as well as their liquors. Then, he took us through the distillery and told us about their process. It was such a fun experience. Definitely recommend! read more

First time here, wanted to try the place for a while. Customer service was 10/10! The gin is super aromatic, not a fan of hard alcohol but this was a pleasant surprise. We loved the cocktails, especially the Paloma and the "adult lemonade." Only downside is no food, so bring snacks/food beforehand especially if you'll do several tastings. Tours of the facility are free. You can sit outside with dogs, they can be inside too but it's a tight space. Looking forward to their new location. read more

We had such a fun time during our visit! We highly recommend stopping by or ordering their spirits to be delivered to your home! We had a tour and tasting hosted by Karla! Karla was so kind, knowledgeable of the whole process, and shared a lot of fun facts about the process with their small batches. After our tour, we had a Zbiotic each, then our tastings. We had one tasting of the premier and one standard mixed drink tasting. The mixed drinks were great and clearly thoughtfully put together. I'm not a big gin or vodka person but their drinks were two of my favorites! The premier tasting was well put together. We enjoyed each bottle but the Maple Rye was the highlight! During our tasting, Keith and Karla were very kind and laid back. They gave us great recommendations for our visit around the town. Overall our experience was wonderful and a huge thanks of that to the staff! We did purchase the Maple Rye and Gin. Made a trip to Joshua Tree with little plans and saw a sign for the distillery off of the main highway. We made time to check it out and we are so glad we did! I had never been to a distillery before, it was nice to see everything that goes into making the different types of liquor. The drinks were great and high quality! We braced ourselves when taking the tequila and gin but were pleasantly surprised with how smooth each was. We left with a couple bottles and can't wait to come back. read more

It was nice and we got to chat with the attendant, and he served us all the options in the tasting group we chose, and we learned some things. What a great place. We were in the area on vacations and stopped by for a taste. We were greeted like family as soon as we walked in and got to tasting. The spirits were good and I can see why the won several awards. Here's the big tip-do the cocktail tasting! Even if you like things straight and neat. There in house mixer were crafted by the Gods! Our host pulled out the recipe book and each mixer was well thought out and crafted by an expert. Also, do ask for a tour if you have time. I wish I got the name of the girl that helped us because she was absolutely fantastic with service, chatting with us and sharing great suggestions - she was wearing a Jurassic park shirt and beanie!! we knew we wanted to get the tasters, but didn't know how to best divvy up the options. you get to choose 4 of 6 options with the taster flight: Neat - gin, vodka, or whiskey; and cocktails: Tom Collins, vodka tonic, and whiskey buck. since there were 4 of us that wanted to taste, she kindly recommended we try all three neat first, and then all 3 cocktails, then our last two options could be the favorites of the 6. WOW their gin is FANTASTIC. it's honestly so unique, with the most subtle flavors of the spices they use. the vodka was soooo smooth, and actually tasted great too. the whiskey is young, but doesn't taste as young as it is! all three were wonderful as cocktails too. we ended up buying some cards, and all three spirits. there's a 20% discount for your order when you buy 3 or more! our girl also gave us a handwritten list of other whiskeys to try too, chatting with us the whole time. I kept seeing this distillery on the way to my Airbnb and had to drop by. Ross greeted me and my friend and was so kind and full of information regarding their blends! The vodka was unlike anything I've ever tasted sooo good! Their gin is what they are known for, it won awards for a reason, I ended up buying a small bottle. If you stop by, definitely do a tasting here! As a certified lightweight, the cocktail option for the flight is dangerous(ly good). My friend said the Tom Collins listed is the best one she ever had. I literally only got a sip before she finished it. She was right! Ross also gave us a really cool tour of the distilling room and went through explaining what the machines do and their process for making each batch. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is basically a little store with a tasting bar in the back. There is a still in a side room so maybe if you buy the "tour" you'd get a little more out of your visit. I tasted the gin and a few other spirits. They make their own mixers but don't sell them ( as of the time I visited - late 2023). Looking forward to them selling those because the stuff they sell in the store is stuff you can get at other places. Although I didn't like any of the spirits enough to buy or sign up for the membership, I do think it's worth a visit if you'd like a little education but do the full tour rather than just a walk in. read more

Stopped by to try the tasting of Vodka , Gin and Whiskey which were all three very good . $15 per person. We also got a tour of the back area / distillery. Our hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable about the product and how it was made but.... One thing that really bothered me was the fact she had her German shepherd dog which is a service dog with her at all times and I'm talking this poor dog was behind a very small counter along with another employee , it barely had any room to move around. Then she took the dog into the distillery room for the tour and the dog was crying because there were two other dogs there . I mean come on do you have to bring your dog to work ? I'm an animal lover and have 2 dogs myself but with such a small space it was hard to watch . I recommend visiting the distillery and please don't bring your dog !! read more

On a whim I decided to stop by and check out the Joshua Tree Distillery. Was not disappointed. A charming and enjoyable experience to say the least. At first, it comes across as quite small. Just a couple of rooms but the tour was impressive and I learned a lot. The high level of professionalism of the gentleman giving the tour was very appreciated. It was super informative. It really stood out against any other distillery, I have toured before. Their gins and bourbons are so delicious. I did not try their vodka or tequila, but I will next time. I also enjoyed doing the tasting of their cocktails. They have awesome items for sale in the tasting room besides their distilled alcohol. My only regret was not going years ago. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who enjoys a liquor tasting. Oh and I forgot to say that the tour is free and the tasting was modestly priced. read more

Unfortunately, we were unimpressed. We chose a flight to share because we were unsure. The craft cocktails we chose to taste were liquor with a bottled mixer and they added water. I really didn't feel like there was anything craft about it. Seating is minimal, we had no place to sit with our drinks. Somewhere to sit comfortably= staying longer drinking more and spending more! So we had our sampler and left. The shop is cute. Lots of interesting trinkets and the girls working were 10/10 amazing as far as chatting and engaging with us. JT Distillery is a great addition to the high desert scene. There are two tasting options (currently at $20/ea). Neat or Cocktails. While I am not a big neat drinker, I do appreciate a cocktail. Due to restrictions their cocktails are a bit light on the spirit pour, but the neat tasting gives you the essence to know adding more spirits to a cocktail will make for a great cocktail. read more

Excellent experience! The lead distiller was extremely knowledgeable and had a great personality. He started with a tasting that included some fantastic cocktails, then gave us a detailed tour of the facility and explained how the equipment worked really well. I have been wanting to come here for a while. Heard about their opening before COVID and glad to see they tasting space is open. Luckily I had plenty of time to enjoy this place. Customer service was fantastic. Thank you to Heather for being super friendly and giving a fantastic tour. Also shout out to Keith and Rose who were also super friendly. Definitely enjoyed the Gin and Vodka. The Tom Collins was my favorite cocktail but the vodka cocktail was solid as well. I'm not a whiskey drinker but I also felt it was great. Ended up getting two small bottles of gin and Vodka but to let my wife try them and will be back. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.
