We vetted various renovation companies and decided to go with Stake Renovations as they checked all the boxes. Off the bat Michael swept in with a detailed plan, a reasonable quote, timeline, and a great team of experts. Michael dedicated time to sit with me and discuss design alternatives for the apartment, that will best maximize on space. The Stake team executed the work as planned and with attention to every detail. Our home was in good hands with Michael, so much so that we decided to expand the scope to include our basement, with a new kitchen and sprucing up of our utility room. The window locks won't engage because the windows are not square. Many of the roof rafters didn't reach the facia board. The roof started to leak where the addition met the original house. The HVAC system never worked correctly. He was doing other jobs at the same time so a lot of days no one showed up. The job took a long time. Then months in to the job he wanted more money. Thousands over the original quote. We said no and He walked off the job and left it half done. He was very rude and nasty. My mom passed away shortly after and when we tried to sell the house it failed inspections for electric, structure, foundation and HVAC. We had to sell as is and lost a lot of money. What a nightmare!
