I got a referral from Diana, the Service Manager, who has been steering me through the Dealership and making sure I am ALWAYS well taken care of for the last three years, to Anthony, the Fleet/Internet Sales Manager. He was terrific, professional and no nonsense. He didn't waste my time, didn't BS me, or insult my intelligence. I'm not sure what else he could have done to please me. At one point, the General Manager was gracious enough to come by, introduce himself, and offer additional assistance. This is not an experience I normally look forward to, but these three Professionals completely changed the dreaded New Car Buying Experience into a memorable one! The customer service regarding repairs is below average. I've had 2 bad experiences here. My mother came for a service then had to come back because they forgot to plug something back in which caused the vehicle to over heat. My partner also came after his engine stalled and we were given false promises of when the vehicle would be ready. Be prepared to feel like a headless chicken running around for answers when it comes to finding out what's wrong with your car and when it is ready. They just want to sell and they don't care about customer service after. You can see different treatment with the customers but we all are paying lot of same money for the cars. I seldom rate car dealerships as I am more of a foodie. But this one is needed. Took my 2024 tundra capstone in for 40k service yesterday. Was quoted $289 for a full alignment and they explained that because it was a capstone and needed "special" tools and computer diagnostics, hence the higher price. Almost got fooled. Checked with Toyota of the Desert in Cat City and service advisor quoted me $120!! It's the same across the board no matter what you drive according to him. Called and left a message for customer satisfaction manager Diana to call me back and till now, not even a response. Even the paperwork I received when I checked the vehicle in showed $159 for an alignment with Tundra as one of the models listed. I have to compliment Jose the service advisor for stepping up and honoring the $159 price in the end. One more thing, the vehicle was supposed to be ready by 2pm. At 4pm I had to call and find out that they were short three plugs and had to get it from another dealership. I understand that things happen but at least a call to update me would have been nice. No call, no offer to arrange for a pick up back to the dealership... nothing. I had to get my friend to pick me up and if I hadn't, the truck would have been left overnight. Poor communication and service! I am looking at all the other negative reviews and surprised the franchise owner has not even bothered to respond to any of them. Very disappointing. I guess that's why many large businesses will rather hide behind AI generated responses than to be accountable and call someone back. Gone are the days of great service and commitment. I came in to fix a simple check engine light problem and it took them 5 days just to tell me that there is a problem with my car but they cannot fix it. I had called in to schedule a oil change 3 days prior and when I came in they said nothing with my info was in their system, which is weird because I've had multiple vehicles there over the years. The oil change took three hours and twenty two minutes, when I was paying I gave the same info I had given them to schedule the appointment and they now tell me they see my old vehicles on file. Super weird how they handle things, didn't even get a sorry for the wait or a bag of chips for an almost 4 hour oil change. Customer service is none existent here. I got a check engine light, and alert while in Joshua Tree and I'm on a scheduled road trip and need to be on the road tomorrow to keep my wife's birthday on track. I made a service appointment for my Lexus 300. My service advisor was Marcos. He was on time, professional and thorough. The rear wheel quarter panel liner had come loose and that was fixed in addition to an oil service, air and cabin filter. All systems were checked and I was advised on items that needed attention. And I-10 Toyota does not oversell you or push services that you do not need. I highly recommend this shop and, if you are a Lexus owner, you can save a little money here as opposed to a Lexus dealership. read more

Car wash is broken, has been for years, they make no apology for this. In an economy where everyone is looking for a job, they were short staffed, so they were not providing rides today. By the time we got to the dealership, they basically took us inside the office (which is odd, normally wouldn't they show you the car first). Basically this unprofessional used car sales man by the name of Anthony told us the moment he sat down, that they sold the car the night before. Don't visit this dealership to purchase, lease, or sell your vehicle. Dealer exhibits aggressive selling techniques, tries to upsell with additional warranties, gap insurance, paint protection, and overstated and illegal fees on purchase agreements. You may have a legal claim against this dealership If you were charged a document fee that exceeds $85, or if the dealer disguised their fees as taxable aftermarket parts. Both are illegal practices in violation of Ca Vehicle Code (CVC) and Ca Code of Regulations (CCR). Furthermore, you may be due a refund of sales taxes paid from the State for services that were misrepresented as taxable goods. I came in to purchase my leased Tacoma on June 11th, 2024. The purchase price is predetermined based on the original lease agreement signed in 2021. That's called a residual value and It is a fixed price that is not negotiable. The purchase is subject to 7.5% CA sales and use tax, $85 document fee, and some minor DMV fees for title transfer. My registration is current, so I don't have to pay for the tags at the time of purchase. My sales manager was Eric Salgado, who stated that the dealership doesn't make money when consumers purchase their leased cars at term end. That's a true statement. Eric also said that it's their policy to charge a $795 document processing fee to each customer who is buying their Toyota lease. In California, the document processing fee is capped at $85. Meaning the dealer software will not allow for a doc fee to exceed $85. So what is a dealer to do?? They disguise the document processing fee as aftermarket add-on parts. In my case, they were "selling" me door cup guards for $795. That's a protective sticker with clear film that goes under your door handles to prevent scratches. Part costs about $50 from dealer and $20 on Amazon. I didn't ask for these parts, and the dealer has refused to remove the $795 fee. This review is not about an insane markup on parts, rather a deceptive and illegal practice for charging a document processing fee of $795. Eric said numerous times, that this is the only way the dealership can present these additional charges. If the purchase price is fixed, and all other fees are set by the DMV, the dealer can only modify the aftermarket parts section on my contract. Now, the document fee is a service, and not a tangible item that is subject to CA sales and use tax. When this fee is disguised as a physical auto part(s), the full amount is subject to sales tax. If you are financing your purchase, you will pay unnecessary interest on all of these overstated fees. I had asked over 10 times to remove the $795 fee that shouldn't be there. I asked to present the $795 charge as a document fee and not as aftermarket parts which sales manager wasn't going to install on my car anyway. After I told Eric that my vehicle was already equipped with door guards, he pulled the purchase agreement and refused to sell the vehicle. He promised to reach out to his General Manager within next two days to request a fee waiver. After 3.5 hours at the dealer, we were politely asked to leave. I've not heard back from the dealer since then. The CDTFA (CA Department of Tax and Fee Administration) has been collecting additional sales tax on doc fees fraudulently charged by this dealership. As a consumer, you have a claim against the State and this dealership for a refund of sales tax. Save your time, your money and simply go to a different dealership. read more

I have tried twice now to schedule an appointment with their "Service" department an have NOT been able to speak with anyone, ALL calls go to voicemail saying they will return the call soon as possible but i gave up waiting after 4 hours of NOT RECEIVING ANY CALL BACK like they say they will do. I than tried the chat on their website and asked to speak with ANYBODY and still have NOT received any call back. I requested to speak with a manager and guess what, NO CALL BACK. I called Toyota of the Desert Service department, (it's a farther drive and NOT where i purchased the vehicle) BUT in LESS THAN 5 minutes, I spoke with a young lady in their service department (sorry i didn't get her name but she was terrific) she set the appointment quickly, explained everything I should expect, Checked the vehicle status because it is the first checkup, basically did everything in LESS THAN 5 MINUTES. Toyota of the Desert is what a dealership should be, unlike their sister dealership at I-10 Toyota. If you need service go to Toyota of the Desert, don't waste time with I-10. Oh, and Toyota of the Desert is also at least $10 to 15 dollars cheaper for the EXACT same oil change. UPDATE: I finally received an "Email" from them. Note I did NOT request ANY COMMUNICATION via email, Anyway i replied back to the "email" and guess what I got a call finally. Not from a Supervisor though so i requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told to please wait, then, the same lady came back on the phone and proceeded to say she could help me. I then DEMANDED to speak with a supervisor but she would have to call me back. I said NO, put her on, after 5 more minutes i got "Diana" who said she was the supervisor. She basically started making excuses. I cut her off because i was so feed up. I gave her a piece of my mind, told her to actually Look at the reviews here on Yelp because she said that type of thing didn't happen. I advised her to actually READ the reviews.
