The oil change took three hours and twenty two minutes, when I was paying I gave the same info I had given them to schedule the appointment and they now tell me they see my old vehicles on file. I made a service appointment for my Lexus 300. My service advisor was Marcos. He was on time, professional and thorough. The rear wheel quarter panel liner had come loose and that was fixed in addition to an oil service, air and cabin filter. All systems were checked and I was advised on items that needed attention. And I-10 Toyota does not oversell you or push services that you do not need. Car wash is broken, has been for years, they make no apology for this. In an economy where everyone is looking for a job, they were short staffed, so they were not providing rides today. Don't visit this dealership to purchase, lease, or sell your vehicle. Dealer exhibits aggressive selling techniques, tries to upsell with additional warranties, gap insurance, paint protection, and overstated and illegal fees on purchase agreements. You may have a legal claim against this dealership If you were charged a document fee that exceeds $85, or if the dealer disguised their fees as taxable aftermarket parts. Both are illegal practices in violation of Ca Vehicle Code (CVC) and Ca Code of Regulations (CCR). Furthermore, you may be due a refund of sales taxes paid from the State for services that were misrepresented as taxable goods. I came in to purchase my leased Tacoma on June 11th, 2024. The purchase price is predetermined based on the original lease agreement signed in 2021. That's called a residual value and It is a fixed price that is not negotiable. The purchase is subject to 7.5% CA sales and use tax, $85 document fee, and some minor DMV fees for title transfer. My registration is current, so I don't have to pay for the tags at the time of purchase. My sales manager was Eric Salgado, who stated that the dealership doesn't make money when consumers purchase their leased cars at term end. That's a true statement. Eric also said that it's their policy to charge a $795 document processing fee to each customer who is buying their Toyota lease. In California, the document processing fee is capped at $85. Meaning the dealer software will not allow for a doc fee to exceed $85. So what is a dealer to do?? They disguise the document processing fee as aftermarket add-on parts. In my case, they were "selling" me door cup guards for $795. That's a protective sticker with clear film that goes under your door handles to prevent scratches. Part costs about $50 from dealer and $20 on Amazon. I didn't ask for these parts, and the dealer has refused to remove the $795 fee. This review is not about an insane markup on parts, rather a deceptive and illegal practice for charging a document processing fee of $795. Eric said numerous times, that this is the only way the dealership can present these additional charges. If the purchase price is fixed, and all other fees are set by the DMV, the dealer can only modify the aftermarket parts section on my contract. Now, the document fee is a service, and not a tangible item that is subject to CA sales and use tax. When this fee is disguised as a physical auto part(s), the full amount is subject to sales tax. If you are financing your purchase, you will pay unnecessary interest on all of these overstated fees. I had asked over 10 times to remove the $795 fee that shouldn't be there. I asked to present the $795 charge as a document fee and not as aftermarket parts which sales manager wasn't going to install on my car anyway. After I told Eric that my vehicle was already equipped with door guards, he pulled the purchase agreement and refused to sell the vehicle. He promised to reach out to his General Manager within next two days to request a fee waiver. After 3.5 hours at the dealer, we were politely asked to leave. I've not heard back from the dealer since then. The CDTFA (CA Department of Tax and Fee Administration) has been collecting additional sales tax on doc fees fraudulently charged by this dealership. As a consumer, you have a claim against the State and this dealership for a refund of sales tax. Save your time, your money and simply go to a different dealership. read more

I have tried twice now to schedule an appointment with their "Service" department an have NOT been able to speak with anyone, ALL calls go to voicemail saying they will return the call soon as possible but i gave up waiting after 4 hours of NOT RECEIVING ANY CALL BACK like they say they will do. I than tried the chat on their website and asked to speak with ANYBODY and still have NOT received any call back. I requested to speak with a manager and guess what, NO CALL BACK. I called Toyota of the Desert Service department, (it's a farther drive and NOT where i purchased the vehicle) BUT in LESS THAN 5 minutes, I spoke with a young lady in their service department (sorry i didn't get her name but she was terrific) she set the appointment quickly, explained everything I should expect, Checked the vehicle status because it is the first checkup, basically did everything in LESS THAN 5 MINUTES. Toyota of the Desert is what a dealership should be, unlike their sister dealership at I-10 Toyota. If you need service go to Toyota of the Desert, don't waste time with I-10. Oh, and Toyota of the Desert is also at least $10 to 15 dollars cheaper for the EXACT same oil change. UPDATE: I finally received an "Email" from them. Note I did NOT request ANY COMMUNICATION via email, Anyway i replied back to the "email" and guess what I got a call finally. Not from a Supervisor though so i requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told to please wait, then, the same lady came back on the phone and proceeded to say she could help me. I then DEMANDED to speak with a supervisor but she would have to call me back. I said NO, put her on, after 5 more minutes i got "Diana" who said she was the supervisor. She basically started making excuses. I cut her off because i was so feed up. I took my car in December (4 months ago). My tires were totally fine and an "alignment was done" I will attach photos to this post. According to Diana Avalos a manager at Toyota this happened to my car because of the "curb rash". So in those 4 months this happened to my tire because I hit the curb pulling out of parking spaces. I wish I could give zero stars. The service department here is something out of the 70s. It proves every cliché about the dealerships possible. I had to go there for a recall alert. So I thought I am safe, they fix the problem free of charge like Toyota said and I am out. Wrong!!! Even though I had an appointment, they kept me there for two hours for something that takes 20 minutes max. After which they told me that I had to replace my one year old battery with one of their "OME" batteries in order for them to say that they performed the required recall repair! And I needed that in order to pass my SMOG inspection. So I paid for a battery that I didn't need! A person named Angelica Mendoza, who claimed to be the online sales manager, sent me the window sticker. Their website also listed the MSRP as the price. The next morning, on the 11th, I drove two hours to i-10 Toyota and met this woman in person. When I asked her to give me the total price with my zip code so I could prepare a cashier's check for when the vehicle arrived, the dramatic story began. She introduced me to another salesman, who handed me a new quote, and, surprise--the price had magically changed. I reminded them that we had confirmed the price yesterday as MSRP + tax + DMV fees, equaling the out-the-door price. At this point, all three salespeople turned into Hollywood actors, banging away at the computer, and then told me they could only knock off $1,500. I said, 'But that's not what we agreed on yesterday.' They responded with, 'Sorry, we can't do that.' I said, 'Thanks, goodbye.' I had driven four hours round-trip. Do you have any conscience left?
