Yes, the view from the farm stand towards Orient Harbor is the best view on the North Fork. But the reality is... it was once a better farm stand, where locals could get pints of fresh berries and tomatoes for cheap. The parking lot was once filled with banged up pick up trucks and Ford and GM sedans. Maybe a Subaru. Now the parking lot is full of Teslas and Rivian pick ups. Not to mention a late model Maserati and vintage Porsche here and there. Vrooooom. And the fresh berries are expensive... Farm stands nowadays are more like Delis. Latham sells a lot of local produce...including their excellent local Oysters! Their corn is the best on the North Fork. But they also sell a lot of veggies and fruits from New Jersey and further. I always ask where the produce is from before whipping out my billfold. They take Venmo for those who don't know what a billfold is. I will always go there for my produce. Because having this version of Latham is better than not having any Latham.

They had a good sized menu with your breakfast/lunch staples, and they're extremely vegetarian friendly! I had the platter with eggs and potatoes and it was delicious. They have alternative milk such as oat milk, so if you have a dairy allergy then you're in luck. There are some tables and chairs if you'd like to sit down, and there's a small grocery store section with lots of allergen friendly and vegan food options for purchase. The service was quick however one of our orders was incorrect: One egg sandwich was supposed to have avocado and tomato and it came with just eggs. Just be sure to double check everything before you leave if you have a larger order. Otherwise, everything was delicious and very decently priced.

For years we were able to adjust boxes (meaning swap out bad tomatoes) or "top off" the case. This year however, there was a $5 upcharge (anytime they felt like charging it, depending on who was working that day) which is fine because I get it, prices change but be consistent. Also the case is "as is" which means I now have to wonder how many rotten tomatoes I'm gifted with. Only to be told quite rudely "if you don't like it, don't buy it" Where are the sisters who ran this farm exceptionally?? So disappointing. Do yourself a favor and drive a bit up in either direction to Latham's or Farmer Joe on Albertson.

She takes your name and tells the cook, please make this for (insert name here)". There's something very sweet to it all. Gone are the days of getting a sandwich for under $10 anywhere. Most sandwiches run from $ 11-14, but they're interesting, like a chicken cordon bleu. They do have a BLT for less and grilled cheese for under $6. I chose the turkey with mozzarella, bacon, and thousand island on a garlic roll and was really pleasantly surprised by how good it was. As far as a general store, there are really limited choices. There are maybe two cans of beans, one bottle of ketchup, a few candles sold by a local maker, but this place seems more of a a homey deli with other limited choices. I'll definitely be back!!
