I had the best fried chicken at here when I was driving thru Downey and it was such a delicious surprise. Everyone by now has tasted Korean Fried Chicken but what makes this spot different are the flavor combinations, grilled chicken options, sandwiches, their SECERT MENU (ask for KEVIN) and my absolute favorite is the Langsaeb Chicken which is simply cut fried chicken thighs and covered in most delicious tangy, spicy, slightly sweet green sauce. It's hella spicy but so addictive if you love THAI FLAVORS. Also don't be afraid of the Gim aka black fried chicken because it's coated in roasted seasoned seaweed which gives it an extra crunch and umami.

I love their Fullerton location so wanted to try this Downey location when they opened. This location is different than their Fullerton one because it was more basic. Their menu didn't include a lot of items the Fullerton one has and their service was different as well. Service was great but you get more sit down service at the other location. This was definitely way more casual. I came with one other person for lunch on a Saturday and it was busy but not bad. For food we both got their 8 piece and shared a fishcake soup. For their 8 piece they allow for 2 flavors. I went with the TNT and Mala Gala since I wanted something spicy. The TNT was more of a dry rub and the mala gala had a slight sichuan flavor. Both were good but honestly a little under whelming for me. They were both less spicy than their other location. But they were fried perfectly. The person I came with got their original flavor and also felt it was alright. The fishcake soup was alright but also kind of lacking in flavor. The inside is super causal with tables and chairs. You order at the front and they will bring it out to you. They have gloves, ketchup, and utensils for you to grab. Parking was easy since it's located in a strip mall and share a parking lot.

First time here and quite impressed! The rice was just a little stale/old. I ordered the chinbop which comes with 4 wings, two scoops of steamed rice and 6 dumplings! Portions were huge! I didn't finish the rice. The dumplings were hot and cooked well. I ordered the original wings and all were perfectly crisped! The service was great since I went at a later lunch time. They brought the food right out to me which I appreciated! Ambience was nice and clean. I would definitely like to visit the fullerton location though because it seems to offer more!

When it comes to Korean fried chicken, there are some that do it justice. This place definitely hits the spot. The chicken is delicious and flavorful. I had the chicken tenders with the honey luv rap and red disco flavors. You certainly can't go wrong with those flavors. And getting the largest size allowed me to eat it for multiple meals because it was a massive portion size.

Came here on a Saturday evening found parking infront of the Handle's Ice Cream and walked over. Greeted when I walked in and allowed time to look at the menu. Ordered the 6 wings -- half Lemon Curry & Honey Luv Rap and Fries w/ Lemon Curry seasoning on top. Wait time was not an issue. Samplings of some sort of Chex mix was offered. I took in the aesthetics of records on the wall and various radios mounted around the pickup counter. Super cool. The issue was the flavoring of my food. The fries and half of my wings tasted like the chicken flavoring/ seasoning packet you put in your top ramen. This threw me completely off and I didn't like that. My fries were hot and fresh and I liked the flavoring of the Honey Luv Rap. If I were to return I would stay clear of the "Lemon Curry" anything because it just reminded me of chicken seasoning packet for top ramen which was disappointing.

The food here was really good! My husband and I both got the 2 piece chicken tender combo with fries and a drink. I was a little dubious about only 2 pieces, but they were a good size - in fact, I didn't finish mine. We both got the honey soy flavour but there are at least 6 different flavours to choose from with varying levels of heat. Fries were also a generous size and very fresh and hot! The interior is very cute; the walls are decorated with vinyl records and album covers, with small transistor radios by the register. Service was so-so and unfortunately the entire time we were there (lunch time on a weekday with a lot of other businesses around) we were the only customers. Please try this place so they don't go under! You won't be sorry!

We had their fried chicken for the first time last July at the Fullerton branch, and my husband hasn't shut up about it since. He tells everyone how life-changing their chicken is. Now that we're back in LA, of course we will have some of their fried chicken. We hit this branch because it's 10 miles closer than Fullerton. Pulled up around noon on a Sunday and this place was empty. Vibe here is more "quick bite" than "hangout spot," unlike Fullerton which feels like a chill fried chicken lounge (if that's a thing). We got the Honey Luv and Disco Red wings, plus the curry lemon popcorn chicken. Food came out hot, fast, and totally delicious. Still a solid 5/5, but next time we'll drive the extra miles for the Fullerton vibes.

I'm a chicken tender connoisseur and this is the best chicken tender I've ever had. I ordered the 10 piece chicken tender honey luv trap, red disco, and original. The chicken itself was massive, meaty and had a thin layer of breading that was very crispy but had a crispy snap to each bite. The honey luv trap had a nice subtle sweet flavor with a hint of soy; the red disco was sweet and spicy similar to the Thai Aroy-D sauce and original was plain. The ratio of chicken meat to breading is exactly what you want, generous, I also think the sauce could be heavier because there's so much chicken meat (a good problem to have). The restaurant was clean and vibrant and the owner Chloe is sweet and the service was amazing. I look forward to going back!

Summary: Super super crispy chicken, really friendly service and plenty of sitting room inside. Easily fits around 20+ people and the decor in the front is pretty cool. Full food & sauces: Super crispy popcorn chicken, when ordering I was told this is the crispiest popcorn chicken with a emphasis on the texture. She also was very nice and gave me 3 different sauces (honey, jalapeño, and ranch) and also recommended having the sauce on the side. Personally for me, the chicken was really really crispy, but this can partially offset the flavor of the chicken too. At times it felt like it was just dominantly batter. Now the serving size is pretty good so no matter what at normal appetite you should be good for a full meal / shareable snack. 7.2/10 Honey: The honey sauce wasn't bad, a good flavor of sweet and savory that wasn't too overpowering but still noticable. 5.5/10 Jalapeño: Nice small kick from the jalapeño, like a little spicy / savory flavor. This one is definitely more potent then honey and more flavorful 6/10 Ranch: standard ranch, nothing crazy. Note: Sauce sizing isn't bad for dipping, to be honest I normally like dipping but the sauce sizes are too small to really coat the chicken and makes me debate is getting it coated instead would benefit the flavor profiles.

Great fried chicken! The wings are huuuuge I got 6 but I could've done ok with just 4. Plenty of flavor options. The ones we got were good but I would probably not get the seaweed one again. Good fries but I expected a lot more kimchi and cheese for the price. Service was great. Plenty of parking. Decor is like a record store feel.

We checked out this spot after hearing about it from some friends. We were in the area and you usually don't think of Korean fried chicken with this area, but the place was legit. It was done really well here and they definitely had their unique take on it, in a good way. We tried a bunch of stuff but some of our favorites were: Gim Ballad Wings, Honey Luv Rap Wings, Anchovy Poppin Chicken, TNT Tenders, Red Disco Tenders, Loaded Samba Fries. The highlights for me were probably the gim ballad wings and anchovy popcorn chicken. We havn't seen these anywhere else and it was really good. Also enjoyed the musical theme of the restaurant. Very cool retro feel with vinyl covers on the walls. They have beer and soju too which really just makes this place even more legit. Overall, we left very impressed. Will definitely come back when we're in the area again.

This establishment used to be running chicks and it is located in the Downey promenade close to handels ice cream. I wonder if the name sounds better in Korean I'm not sure if it's a lie literal translation. The place is decorated really nice. I don't like Korean wings very much but the different flavors did peek my interest. It may be a little better than running chicks I guess there are not so fried and maybe have more flavor. I actually went because I saw the menu had anchovy fries. But it's just the oil and not much of it. They still were good. It would have been better with actual pieces of anchovies, but then again that's an acquired taste not everybody would like it. I on the other hand would have loved it! I may go back to try the seaweed flavor wings, I believe that's their signature flavor. It sounds very interesting.

I came here after visiting Columbia Memorial Space Center with friends. We got Handel's ice cream and also decided to have late lunch here. Upon entering the restaurant, I liked how the wall is covered with vinyl records and the cashier counter has these unique and vintage radios. Bringing back the nostalgia back in the days. Glad that I came with friends so I can order multiple items. Usually in other places, they only allow us to choose up to 2 flavors, but the owner was so nice and allowed us to try more than 2 flavors. We also ordered the loaded samba fries, poppin chicken and lemon curry fries. The chicken wings came in this cool vinyl record plating that I found perfect to go hand in hand with all the decor. My favorite is the Gim Ballad wings. The outside coating is very crispy and the chicken inside is juicy. My older son's favorite is the TNT wings since he loves spicy food. The lemon curry fries is mild enough that little kids can eat them too. Out of curiosity, I asked them what is the meaning of Gim Ballad, and they said Gim means seaweed in Korean. The size of the wing is decent and not too small. The price is standard at 6 wings for $13.99. And they gave a cup of cole slaw, pickled radish (a must to eat together with Korean chicken!), ranch and the house special spicy sauce all for free! I love the spicy sauce. It's not too spicy and has a tanginess to it. I like how the pickled radish is different and has a pink color to it. Makes me think that they must have put much effort to create something unique out of the white-colored pickled normally found in all Korean chicken restaurants. As part of the grand opening event, we could play the claw machine game to win prizes. My little one got the furikake chex mix as the prize. We opened and ate it and couldn't stop eating them. Since my kids like the food, we also ordered some wings for to-go. Our order came in this cute sturdy vintage looking radio box. This restaurant is a bit far from our home but we'll definitely visit again when we're in the area.

Keep in mind these are made to order so it does take a bit for them to come out. Boneless - 5/5 surprisingly they were so moist and the protein ratio was extraordinary!!! I was so impressed with the quality. Typically these are over breaded, too dry, or both. Bone in - 4.5/5 the flavoring was definitely on point. Some wings were a bit dry, but I did notice they were the smaller ones that barely had any meat on them, which can get dry if they are mixed with the big juicy pieces Garlic Noodles - 3/5 this was probably the worst due to it being overly salty and a bit dry Seasoned fries - 5/5 fluffy, crispy, perfectly seasoned. Doesn't get better than that Zucchini fries - 5/5 perfectly crunchy and fried. There wasn't much seasoning in it but that was perfect because it came with the marinara sauce!!!
