So we were in the area and were looking for somewhere good to eat, and The Blazin Claw popped up, so we decided to give it a try. It's located in a shopping center, so parking was fairly easy, which is always a plus. The place is very open and spacious. When we arrived, the place was pretty busy. We were seated right away, but it quickly became clear that they were short-staffed. One woman appeared to be handling all of the tables, I'm assuming she was the owener, and although she was doing her best, she was clearly overwhelmed. More customers kept coming in, and you could tell some people were getting frustrated while waiting to order or pay. We were patient and understood she was working hard. Once the food came out, it was worth the wait. Everything we ordered had really good flavor. The garlic Cajun fries were delicious, and the garlic shrimp noodles were one of my favorites. We also ordered Combo #2, and the snow crab legs were actually a really good size. The gentleman working in the back, who I'm guessing may have been one of the owners, came out and was helpful when we needed something. Both he and the woman seemed to be doing everything they could, but the restaurant definitely could use more staff during busy times. My only food critique would be the sausage, it tasted more like a regular hot dog, and I would have preferred a real sausage link. I also wanted to order melted butter for dipping but never got the chance because things were so hectic. Overall, the food was flavorful and satisfying, and I can understand why this place is popular. If they improve staffing during peak hours, the experience would be even better. I've been coming here for years because of their great quality of food, excellent customer service led by Thi, and the ambiance is always fantastic when there's a Dodger game playing on their TV. All of their food is amazing, but I consistently tend to order their Blazing Claw Combo #1 spicy, with whole shrimp, mussels, clams, and extra potatoes, along with a side of steamed rice. We love that it is semi hidden and that it's usually never crowded; easy to get a booth. This last time that we came it was a Friday during lent and like any other seafood spot..it was BUSY! We still got a booth! As soon as we entered, the young lady told us to give her some time as she had three big parties ahead of us and we were okay with it. Ordered here getting my son his first shrimp boil for his early bday celebration. The ordering was easy and straight up. It was ready in good time packaged right and still hot when we got home. The shrimp were a really good size nice and plump cooked perfectly. The potatoes were soft and seasoned well. Corn was soft and the sausage was pretty good had a smoky flavor. Garlic flavor was on point I asked for. O spice but I still got a nice lil punch in the end sometimes Perfect! Even when I was done I couldn't help eating the sauce with garlic. It was my first time trying seafood boil and here's my review- PSA they do not sell "1/2 Lbs" for those like me who only eat a little bit/ Playlist: 10/10. Their music was poppin with 2000's hip hop. Service: great service, not packed at all on a Friday evening. However; all the tables were filled by the time we left at 8 pm. The owner/host lady was so nice to us and friendly. I ordered the 1 lb of headless shrimp with shell and it was so fun to peel off! They provide gloves and bibs if you're interested in that. I ended up removing my gloves because it's easier to peel the shrimp shell without them. I also got potatoes and corn, and garlic bread. Everything was so good! However, the shrimp had a lot of poop! I am not sure how this place is empty. I'm a "boiling crab is the best that exist" person but this place was very good. Service was nice and the place is clean. So, the garlic salmon had a ton of bones in it. The menu doesn't say that it does have bones. Thought it was an honest cook oversight. Server/ manager (the only person there) came to our table and told me that all salmon at restaurants have bones in them. Could you imagine how a yelp elite member felt hearing that ? We also tried the garlic Cajun fries and sweet potato fries. This fed 5 people. The owner was super sweet she made sure we had everything we needed. She offered us bibs, gloves and a whole container of napkins. The ambiance is laid back and relaxing. I will be back again to eat more! The Cajun flavoring was phenomenal!!! We got the Blazin Claw Combo #1, which came with 3 pounds of meat plus 2 corn, 3 potatoes, and 4 pieces of sausage. This was a much better deal than us ordering 2 pounds plus extras. We got all 3 pounds of shrimp and thought the sauce was delicious! We got medium spice level and a side of rice as we didn't have any at home. It was thick and tasteless and had such a weird smell. The manager did take some of the food off our check but she wasn't even apologetic and blames in it on the sauce just not being for us. I was excited to try a new place out but I left sick to my stomach. As we were walking out no other gues seemed to have been served a sauce that looked like ours. Terrible service! Felt very discriminated, came for the first time for a date night for Valentine's Day. There were no waiting guests or waiting times whatsoever, however we were seated and taken are order. Another party arrives after us and receives their drinks, appetizers and full entree after the fact we were still waiting.
