We also got a beef medium plate and that was good, the avocado was just perfect. Service was okay, they delayed the order a bit and the girl said "sorry for wait, we're very busy" we were in the drive thru but we could see inside was empty! Like no one in there. But anyways. I thought the food here was really good!!! The order was for here, but it was served in a styrofoam box that could be used for takeout. I didn't really need to as I ate this whole thing in one go. I was the one who wanted to try out this spot due to the pictures of the food. Inside, it makes me feel like it was one of those homes that got renovated a little to be a restaurant. I got the BBQ R plate as it was advertised on the front door as we walked in,. The menu needs to be updated correctly to how they charge us because you can't see how much they charge you until after you pay and get the receipt. I think the guy needs to fix his wording too with asking for add-ons because he doesn't mention at all if they cost extra so BEWARE for avocado. We had to wait for about 15 minutes. I don't like it when menu prices are suddenly more expensive on the receipt than shown to customers. We went to try this spot out as the reviews generally seem high for the place. Be wary of the menu pricing and how much they actually charge! My boyfriend got the supposed BBQ Rib's Plate that should have been $18.80 as shown on the menu up front for $19.55 instead. I ordered a large plate 2 Item Combo, to which the staff asks which meats; beef and chicken for me! Then he asks "Do you want onions and sesame seeds?" "Sure!" "Do you want avocado?" "Sure!" I say, not realizing how much more they'd charge me for it. It was $2.50 more. I wish that the staff here was more transparent and honest. A heads-up on the fact that it would be an extra charge would be very much appreciated and not worded in a way that it was like a topping I wanted. On top of those fees, they also charge 3.99% more on you if you use a credit card. Didn't notice that sign of course until we paid. Thankfully however the food over here was actually very yummy and delicious!! The avocado was fresh and tasty, and the sauce used for both our entrees was the same but really drove the meal together. We ordered the teriyaki short rib plates, and while the food had good flavor and the staff was super friendly, it just didn't hit the way I was expecting. The portion was fair, but for the price, I expected a little more? Especially since it's definitely priced higher than your typical fast casual joint. It wasn't bad by any means, just not memorable. Solid, but not something that's going to keep me coming back. There's a lot of great food in the area, so with all the options around, I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back. My wife and I and her dad were looking at the menu and see what order My wife decided to order the fish n chips and my dad order the teriyaki plate and I order the large terkiyaki plate. When I pick the order smell was so good then I open the container then I was surprised they serve big portions. The teriyaki plates are so good. Chicken and beef are perfectly cooked and not too dry like most places. I do wish they would serve a bit more rice, but it's still really good portions regardless. I recommend calling ahead if you plan on taking out because it takes a while since they make it as you order it. I like coming to place however I would never recommend adding avocado to your place. They do not put fresh avocado when adding it to your plate. I added a picture for reference the 2nd time this happens to me. I was upset because they charge $2 and it was almost completely brown. And this isn't the first time it happened to me. So as much as their chicken and other ingredients are fresh I definitely wouldn't order Avocado to my order when I have to just pick it out and throw it away. Its definitely one of those hole in the wall spots you got to try at least once in your life. The burrito is built to perfection and the service is always great. Don't understand the hype. The beef is precooked and just heated on the grill so it's definitely not fresh and they pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef to cover up the dried out meat.
