I stopped by Acailand for an acai bowl. Their touchscreen kiosk was not working properly, but it gave me ideas of topping choices I could add to my bowl. The acai bowls are priced from $13 (small 1-2 people) to $17 (medium) $19 (large 4 people) with up to 8 choices of toppings. I decided on a Small American Classic Acai Bowl ($13 plus tax) which has acai, strawberry, blueberry, granola, honey, and cashews and I customized with additions of mango, kiwi, and coconut flakes. My bowl was made to order quickly and packed up well, over the top with plenty of toppings over the rim of the plastic bowl. I drove down the road to a coffee place and enjoyed my very sweet acai bowl with some black coffee. They essentially made my acai bowl the way I liked it with plenty of fresh fruits, nuts, and honey. I couldn't finish this in one sitting and stuck it in the freezer to enjoy the next day. I would definitely stop by again if I happen to be driving by and need a sweet fruity dessert.

The whole large bowl was on a pint sized plastic takeout container - I was expecting the large to be larger! There are no sizes on the ordering page so you don't know what to expect. Since I've been enjoying traditional acai bowls very recently, I decided to try something different and went with ube (purple yam), which is popular in the Philippines. I ordered the Ube Waffle Package ($12.90 plus tax) with a cinnamon waffle (add $0.55 plus tax), which was the same ingredients as a kid ube bowl on top of a warm waffle. My order was made to order and ready in 6 minutes. I enjoyed most of the waffle package treat in the shop. The portion was modest, which was comprised a warm sweet cinnamon waffle topped with cold blended ube puree, granola, kiwi, banana, blueberry, coconut flakes & honey. They offer around 20 ice cream flavors with interesting ingredients, similar to Salt & Straw ice cream, plus waffle cones, waffle bowls and sundaes. They also sell several flavors of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream pints & quarts including special limited edition flavors like Maren Morris Orange & Vanilla Swirl. In 2024, the limited edition Sabrina Carpenter Espresso ice cream sold out very fast. I stopped by Van Leeuwen in Peabody after dinner. The friendly staff member offered me free samples of ice cream before I decided to get the Goodest ($9.60 plus tax) choice of 3 flavor scoops in a cup. I got the Earl Grey Tea, Vegan Summer Sweet Potato & Marshmallow Fluff and Sweet Corn & Blueberry Jam. They do not accept cash at checkout, but they have a cash to card converter machine in the back. There is limited seating inside the shop and outside patio tables & chairs in front of the store. I enjoyed the interesting flavors I chose for my dessert, not overly sweet, but light with robust flavors. The core flavors of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream are also in stock at my local Walmart in NH, but I still enjoy going to an actual Van Leeuwen Ice Cream scoop shop for the experience and a nice treat.
