Ive been eating lunch here for over ten years and the one thing I can count on is consistency. Consistently hot, consistently tasty, and consistent portions. I always get the Chicken Teriyaki lunch special which includes rice, chicken and some cabbage. Their sauce is perfectly sweet. If you prefer no sauce, be sure to let them know and they will gladly make it without sauce. This is a very affordable lunch, which I appreciate! *** Here's an honest review*** I've seen this here for many years and recall reading a story about the owner several years ago and have always wanted to try it, just needed to be in the mood for a smaller serving of teriyaki style food (I say that because the pics I've seen and what I imagined of the place, lead me to believe there wouldn't be a lot of substance to their servings.). So, I tried it for lunch one weekday and brought some home for my son and wow, does this place get busy at lunch time. There were only two people (clearly the couple who owns/runs the place) working there and right after I came in, about 10+ more customers did, for dine-in and carryout. The wait had to be quite long for those who came in after me, because I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be made. As for inside, it's got their business "desk" worth of paperwork on the counter, the ceiling tiles really need replacing and it's aged from when it first opened, thus hasn't been updated. It looked relatively clean. When she was packing my order for carryout, I asked for some hot sauce and she pointed to a squirt bottle on the counter and told me to use it because if she gave me cups to put it in, that would cost $.25 each (RIDICULOUS!!)... This prompted me to text Jr to ask how much hot sauce he wanted me to add to his lunch, rather than he being able to do it himself. (And this "lunch" cost $47 for the two of us... for that much, they could afford to give me all the sauce I reasonably wanted!) The food tasted decent... definitely NOT WORTH THE PRICE! The noodles I got as a side dish were small and had nothing at all added to them, other than their teriyaki sauce and they were rather bland and boring. Their teriyaki chicken breast was decent, not fatty and offered a decent flavor. Their salad dressing was (that came with the very small side salad, which was basically iceberg lettuce) was awesome and it was the best, most flavorful thing I ate there! Odd, because I didn't go their for a small side salad. Overall, the food was OK... The service leaves a lot to be desired, as the owners cleary don't care, since they have a steady stream of customers coming in and they've been there 15+ years already. I definitely WON'T BE BACK... But my feeling clearly don't matter, as they'll continue to thrive. read more

I love TeriYaki is good. The prices are decent and you get a good amount of food for what you pay. A box of teriyaki chicken is $11. It comes with two scoops of rice and a small side salad. There's a good bit of chicken that comes with it. The salad isn't much, just some iceberg lettuce with poppyseed dressing. I got a side of kimchi which was pretty good. Some aspects made it apparent that the place does the minimum: I wanted brown instead of white rice but apparently they had run out by dinnertime. It was an extra 25¢ for a cup of sauce and the soda fountain was broken and looked like it had been for a while. Not bad. read more

My husband and I have ordered take out from here twice and each got different meals each time. Both times we both loved our food! Their shrimp fried rice reminded me of the delicious habachi style and had plenty of shrimp. I asked for no onion and some duck sauce on the side. Came out perfect and delicious. I didn't really remember how good it was my first time so I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the veggie roll. My brother got the chicken, salad and shrimp tempura. I tried his chicken and it was pretty good! His salad looked really good and it made me want to get one for myself, the dressing is delicious! My veggie roll was better than a lot of sushi places I've been to! I decided to get the california roll because I was so impressed with the veggie roll. The california roll was also really good, again it was better than a lot of california rolls I've had at sushi restaurants. I would definitely come here again to eat! Oh also don't forget to put the hot sauce on your food that they have there (it's a saucy chili sauce they make there), it goes great with your chicken and rice or your sushi! *My 5 star rating takes into account price range too! Great local place run by a local family. The family recipe teriyaki sauce is fantastic and meals are served with a small salad that makes it a complete meal. Beef and chicken are the usual order and never disappoint. Small dining are offers dine in experience, but the majority of the business seems to be carry out. I have eaten at this particular location about half a dozen times. Each time I had hoped the service would get better. But to no avail it seems to be getting worse. The owner who happens to be the grill master and his assistant never smiles or communicates at all with his patrons. Both seem to be in extremely awful moods. The quality of food is mediocre at best. Very simple in presentation; however, is comparable to island local "grinds" Definitely one of our "go too's" when we want to take a break from our own cooking. I had their beef yakisoba and their gyoza. I've ordered many times now and every visit was a plus. Their rice is fluffy and hot, gyoza was always crispy on the top edges and their yakisoba is pretty darn good. I've never ordered during lunch time but the dinner prices are pretty expensive. Absolutely delicious! I finally got a chance to stop in and try something! I had a hard time deciding what to get after reading all the great reviews on Yelp. I ended up going with the chicken teriyaki. Wow! The flavor of the chicken alone is great but then you add their teriyaki sauce to it and it's delicious. I don't think I have ever had a teriyaki sauce I liked so much. I only spent $12 and I got a large helping of the chicken, 2 scoops of rice, a salad with dressing, and 5 pieces of gyoza. Tucked away in a hard to reach shopping plaza off of Garrisonville Road, I had driven past "I (Heart) Teriyaki" on several occasions before finally noticing it. But after finally seeing it, I knew I had to go! I came in this week for lunch, looking for a cheap meal and went away pretty satisfied. I ordered the $6.50 lunch special which consists of teriyaki chicken, rice, a spring roll, and some "steamed vegetables" that consisted of cabbage and a few carrot slices. There's about 5 tables to dine in the small storefront. After waiting a few minutes I was served my meal in a styrofoam container. The chicken was pretty tasty. It's grilled and served with the veggies in a thick and tangy teriyaki sauce. The spring roll was good as well. Other menu items include gyoza, katsu chicken (deep-fried chicken), beef teriyaki, yakisoba (noodles w/ meat and veggies), and a few others. While it's not the best teriyaki place I've been to (see this place in Michigan, http://www.yelp.com/biz/teriyaki-time-ann-arbor), for the Stafford area the food is tasty and decently-priced.
