Stop what you're doing, and head here as soon as it opens. Omg, I had the best foot massage I've…read moreever had last night. I'm not sure if his name is Henry or harry, and I had difficulty understanding him due to the language barrier, but oh my goodness all of that didn't matter because he worked wonders on my poor feet. Let me preface that I've been here before, and have had many encounters at other establishment, but none lived up to this experience. I came with a friend after a long 12 hour shift, and had noticed that am that my left foot was very sore and the ball of my feet were tender. I was massaging my feet driving because it was so uncomfortable. So when I got off I debated between being good and working out or getting this massage to make me feel better, and boy am I glad I chose the later. For $30 you get an hour foot massage and this includes a 10-15 min head and neck massage, also heavenly. I told my masseuse the problem spot and he put a lot of pressure on it which made me wince but it also felt so good. My friend and I walked out like we were on cloud 9. This establishment is clean, has great masseuse, and for the price and location, it's hard to beat. My only con is that due to the language barrier, communicating can be hard, and sometimes the masseuse likes to talk to each other during the massage and makes it harder for the client to relax. But overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to be back.

Extremely Unprofessional and Painful Experience…read more This was honestly one of the worst massage experiences I have ever had. I left feeling like I had been hurt rather than helped, and my body actually hurts more today than it did before the massage yesterday. I specifically told the therapist that I am a cancer survivor with lymphedema and that I was experiencing significant pain in my neck and shoulder. A professional massage therapist should take a medical history seriously and understand how certain conditions can affect the type of massage and pressure that is appropriate. Instead, there was no oil used during the massage, and his hands were extremely rough. He was pinching and plucking at my back, and I was saying "ouch" throughout the entire massage. About halfway through, he leaned down and whispered that there was a "special oil" available for an additional $20. I later learned that what I was given was supposedly CBD oil, and it smelled strongly like Biofreeze. The experience became even more concerning. He put extremely hot towels on my back, hot enough that I felt like I was being scalded. He felt my feet and said I was cold, rather than handling that professionally, he plugged in a blow dryer and began blowing hot air all over my body. He also used significant pressure points on my skull, and my head now feels bruised and sore. I honestly question whether this person had any professional massage training whatsoever. The entire experience felt extremely unprofessional and, frankly, unsafe. Someone with a medical condition could potentially be seriously injured by this kind of treatment. A professional massage therapist should ask about medical history, listen when a client says something hurts, adjust their technique appropriately, and never continue using painful or potentially harmful pressure. I will never return to this establishment, and I strongly recommend that others be very cautious before booking a massage here. If you have any medical conditions, I would be especially careful and make sure you understand exactly who will be performing your massage and what their qualifications are. This was not a relaxing or therapeutic experience. It was painful, uncomfortable, and completely unprofessional. I contemplated leaving mid-way, I regret now I didn't.

If you have a low…read morepain tolerance like me, or honestly even if it's high, you'll probably be withering in pain but the good kind. I workout and historically I'm bad at stretching which leads to tight muscles. I also hold stress in my neck/shoulders and have lower back pain. Without me even having to state any of this, Ruby was able to tell this herself. She loosened up YEARS worth of tension and shared how certain parts of the body were connected to others and that's why I was experiencing pain/tightness in those areas. I was definitely sore for several days afterwards, but I also felt looser and lighter than I have before - even after other massages I've had at other places. Ruby is no nonsense and tells it like it is - and that's exactly what I need and what I was looking for. This is my second massage with Ruby, with my third one already booked and I convinced my sister to book one as well. Reservations: Marietta Massage does not take walk-ins. You have to call (not able to book online) to make an appointment. Parking: Marietta Massage has 2 dedicated parking spots (92, 93) in the paid lot right next to their building. It's free to park there during your appointment so don't pay at the meter!

Before she starts, she takes the time to ask about your specific trouble spots and problem areas so she can tailor the session entirely to what you need. Just a warning, though: DO NOT go see her if you are looking for a relaxing, gentle, spa-style massage, because that is simply NOT what she does. She means business. You will likely leave there feeling a bit sore afterward, but finally getting all of those painful knots worked out is an incredible feeling of relief.
