I'd compared the repair estimate for fixing my laptop charger port with them vs 2 other competitors; one local and one corporation, but Comp Clinic's quote fared better and their service was the friendliest. However, what they gained in customer service they lacked in timeliness. The repair was estimated to take a week with the need to order one part. It must've gotten lost in the shuffle because it took a couple weeks and when we went to check on it, the part was not ordered and we still had to wait. Once the part was ordered the repair seemed to only take a couple days. Unfortunately, what should've taken a week took a month. The charger port was repaired. When a related issue seemed to arise, we brought it right back and it was immediately taken care of. I'd go back again but I'd do so knowing that this isn't a highly regulated operation. If turn-around time is most important, turn-around and go to a competitor. But if the greatest concern is kind customer service and low rates, you'll get what you wanted to pay for, here.

They have built 15-20 different custom computers for me built to my needs and specifications. Numerous times they have done same day repairs and kept my business functioning when most repair services were busy quoting me how many days the repairs would require. Their prices I have never been able to beat anywhere, not even Fry Electronics and one of their giant warehouse sales could beat what Quality Plus offered, along with immediate same day service. I cannot say enough good things about Peter and his staff, for they have saved me more times than I can count. I was there just today because a program would not load on one of our laptops. Peter had me up and running before noon, and while I was sitting there, one couple came in because their computer would not turn on. Peter had them back up and running in 5 minutes time. Another customer needed her laptop repaired, but she also needed to use the data on her computer when meeting with several of her own clients this week. To repair her computer, Peter first needed to take it apart to ascertain the parts needed to complete the repair, so Peter offered at no charge to her, to take her computer apart just to ascertain the part requirements, and then put it all back together again so she could use her computer until she could let him have it for a couple of hours to install the new parts. So he doubled his labor costs and time for the job just to help out his customer and he did it without charging her a penny more. Try and get that kind of service from the GEEK Squad!!! In the last 20 years, NOT ONCE has Peter given me a quote for a repair or a custom built new system and then later called to increase the quote for any reason. When he quotes a job, he stands behind it 100%. He also stands behind his work 100%. He will clearly explain exactly what needs to be done and why, so that even someone like me can understand. What that tells you is - besides our being pretty old - that CCX is really good at upgrading or repairing computers. And that's an understatement. Walter, the owner and head digital guru, not only is polite, friendly and honest, but can communicate often times complicated information in a simple and straightforward way. He isn't there to dazzle you with his knowledge (although that might happen along the way). He knows your main concerns are 1) What's wrong? and 2) How much will it cost? Not one time has he been unable to solve the problem, or given us a price that wasn't reasonable. That his shop is conveniently located near I-10 is another bonus. So before you take your computer to a big-box store or someplace you see on the street, either of which is likely to turn into a stress-fest, let CCX have a look. Chances are that the quality of work will be higher, and cost less.
