The gym makes us pay to go to FL. To attend the National by pay the fee to get attendance. after we stay in this program for three years my daughter never gets treated fair. So, we left and what they did to my daughter in the last time had cost my daughter to not want to play volleyball ever again. Shame on you Alec and Shawna.

The coaches were so inspiring to my athlete. She said it was her favorite camp of the summer because she learned a lot and the coaches gave good tips and were very inspiring.

Mixed experience: depends on skill level and timing…read more One of my daughters had an OK experience. The other, who's at an intermediate level, had a tough time - not because of the sport, but because of the unsupportive environment. Some players act like mean girls and create a culture that's harsh for anyone still learning. On a related topic, some kids that pay their way into the club act like they've never been taught by their parents how to behave in public. On every serve, screaming, blaming others, returning balls aggressively. One player in particular was highly disruptive to everyone, and it was never addressed. If your child is already skilled in volleyball, they will fit in well here. But if they're still learning, this is likely not the nurturing environment you're looking for. Your experience will of course vary depending on time-of-year you're joining, luck of the draw of who is also joining, and whether Blue Royals Volleyball decides to address a few of these. They're clearly a well-established, decorated club, and I get that it can be frustrating when newer players aren't at the same level as the elite girls - but that doesn't give those girls a free pass to treat others like they don't belong.

This post is based on my and my husband's experience with the Blue Royals Volleyball Academy. It…read moreis a negative review. Its intent is directed at you as parents of a volleyball player and considering various clubs as future tryout candidates. If you are looking for a club that will develop players in terms of skill and capability, provide a positive coaching experience, and thus provide your daughter with the self-esteem she deserves, our experience says this may not be the club for you. A measure of any organization is not how they perform when everything is going well, but how they handle adverse situations. In this respect, Blue Royals behaved rather poorly. This post is an update of a deleted previous post that was taken down because this club threatened to cancel scheduled private lessons for our daughter. Imagine attempting to harm a child. Of course, they did not do this directly but used a staff member as an intermediary. A word of explanation. These private lessons were arranged and booked well in advance. The person giving the private lessons had permission to use the club facilities for this purpose. The financial arrangements were with the person giving the lessons with no involvement of the club. The threat was intended to leverage us into pulling down the adverse review. At no time did the club reach out to us to discuss our concerns. They were successful in that we pulled down the initial review. Upon reflection, we reluctantly decided to cancel the private lessons because it would be uncomfortable for our daughter and the person providing the lessons. Thus, this updated review became an available option. Also, this club recently held a by invitation only volleyball session prior to the USA Volleyball sanctioned tryout date. This was in essence a pre-tryout tryout. The phrase ethically challenged comes to mind. Sadly, it was successful, four very capable non-Blue Royals players from other clubs came to this session along with selected Blue Royals players and all four also came to the official tryouts and were given and accepted offers. Were these girls dissatisfied with their previous clubs and looking for change, possibly, but it still qualifies as player poaching. This is not the first time an employee of this club has been involved in this type of activity. This kind of culture permeates an organization from top to bottom. It distorts what should be their priorities. Do you want to entrust your daughter to this kind of organization? That is the real question. You can write us off as disgruntled parents, but regardless, do your homework, dig deep, talk to former parents, etc. before making a decision.

The space is…read moreperfect for kids of different ages, there's a big playground area so no one felt cramped, and all the kids stayed entertained the entire time (which is a win in itself). The host was super helpful throughout checking in, helping set things up, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Food was good and convenient for a party setting, nothing over the top, but it did the job and the kids were happy. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a low-stress, fun birthday party venue where kids can run around. I do wish their party packages had extended hours. 2 hours didn't seem like enough.

The food was also surprisingly good for a party venue--the pizza and chicken tenders were both crowd-pleasers. The only downside was the timing. Everything felt a bit rushed, and it seemed like just as everyone was getting settled and enjoying themselves, it was already time to wrap up. A little more flexibility or extended time would have made the experience even better. I mean an extra 15 minutes to clean up for $50 - no thanks. That said, the staff really stood out--great service, clear communication from booking to end, and everything was well-organized from start to finish. Overall, a great spot for a fun and easy party, just be prepared to keep an eye on the clock.
