When you check in there is a touch pad/kiosk and you enter your info. I wish there was a real human or a greeter to walk you to your kiddos sports location. On multiple location I got lost and had to check in with the folx near the concession. Even when I was told where to go, the coaches seemed confused on where my kids needed to go. During summer camp my kids watched a 2 hour movie for a 6 hour soccer class.I think if my kids were in the program long term they would learn how to play soccer. From what I've seen, there wasn't much organized team soccer and mostly kicking the ball around and basic drills. I hope they my review can help Arena Sports review some of the "processes" for checking in and be up front on whether kids are babysat by a TV for two hours instead of learning.

I thought they might break out in song jk. This was the best swimming experience for my kids. They learned more in 30 minutes here than at the British Swim school. I also love the atmosphere as it reminded me of a community swim meet. Design and overall aesthetic of the community center is new and the center doesn't look run down. There was a random RV parked in front of the center but nothing sketch. As a parent I look out for these things. I'm excited to try more classes here for my kids.

I wanted to put her in camps that would help build up her creativity/motor skills.. She is very good with her hands and she wanted to try more sports.. I signed my daughter up for a soccer camp that cost 180.00 for 5 days and 50 minute sessions each day, in doors...The camp started on a monday August 11th and she got sick sunday the day prior... I emailed another program coordinator earlier monday 9am prior to the camp starting at 1pm to notify that my daughter was not feeling well, and she may miss some days of the camp... I asked if we could move her to another camp that starts in September so that she don't miss multiple days. LeeMay replied back stating the don't give refunds and she disregarded my question about asking to move my daughter to another camp... And she didn't reply at all to any of the questions I asked about happy feet soccer for 2 yr olds... She advised she could put a request in but a doctor's note is advised not required. I advised It takes time and money taking my kids to the hospital for a tummy ache and frequent uses to the bathroom when I can handle it as a parent and how come my word is not enough..she ignored the rest of my emails and chose to not put a request in for my refund or reply back stating why she could not change the camp dates or give a credit to my account for another activity. LeeMay Kim choose to not put the request in and The community center kept my 180.00 dollars. Now my daughter cant do the camp at all because I Don't have funds and could not afford to flush 180.00 down the drain... And Seattle parks and recreation scholarship department have no way in helping assist me in getting my refund.. Very disappointed in LeeMay and her un professional habits in how she chose to assist me....And how she and the Department made it harder for a child who was really wanting to be involved in a summer camp and program... I highly recommend not working with LeeMay or giving this community center any funding for youth because they really don't care about the youth... Very digested.

My old Brooks Dyads which I bought there in 2021 which were perfect for all sports and every day walking til early May had died. The first 2 times I tried on I think every firm bottomed shoe. I know I bought a pair which I tried to convince myself would work but didn't. On my last trip back (after a run thru about 7 other stores) I came in asking for a brand which I knew I had not tried. I began my litany re "old shoes died.. '. The staff asked if I tried Addictions model. I knew they hadn't worked before. His engaging smile overcame my objection--He told me something about the sizing which I did not remember what I had tried on. These work. These work. These work. I am so grateful I went back looking for something else. Every time I have been here the staff is so thoughtful and easy to work with. Thank you for everything.

So much has changed since I first started working out at the IMA, but to name a few:…read more - Expansion of the downstairs weight room Over the years, the IMA expanded the weight room and added more squat racks and other weight equipment. However, this area is super popular especially during peak hours - Universal locker rooms The locker rooms now have designated cabanas for changing and showering. I appreciate having the privacy to shower and change in a cabana versus when there were gender-assigned locker rooms - Locker rental You can rent a lock by stopping by the equipment desk on the lower level and use the lockers in the hallway at no extra cost. There are lockers inside the locker rooms but I don't have information if those are at an extra cost - Massage and acupuncture services For an extra cost, you can book massage and acupuncture appointments on the IMA website I still book personal training sessions, and I love having access to their training rooms. Especially having space to do barbell work instead of waiting for a weight rack to free up downstairs. While I still think the IMA is still one of the best gyms to work out, one thing I miss are the steam rooms (unless if I have yet to spot it). I also wish people rack up weights and equipment afterwards as it can be a pain to find stuff at times.

I adored the indoor track on the top level with window paneling that allowed me to look out as I ran. The track encircled cardio workout equipment. For intercollegiate club rugby (women's), we used the track and space in the corners between the track and the windows for combined sprints and conditioning sets. The main level had restrooms, weights, and cardio equipment as well. I used this section primarily for elliptical, rowing machine, and stationary bicycle sessions. I found this section was typically calmer on Saturday evenings, though could get a bit crowded Sunday afternoons. In the morning, before about 6:30 a.m., I enjoyed the relative calm as well. The lower level weight room I only used for rugby practice if I am recalling correctly. I signed up for an instructed spin (stationary bicycle) class a few terms and had a great instructor, named Kyle. He had excellent workouts and was a good DJ as well. The locker room provided access to a pool. I enjoyed swimming laps here and the analog clocks were perfect for timekeeping as I swam the sets I designed/wrote for myself. To the side of the entrance was a cafe of sorts where I could use my meal plan. Tables were available to sit and eat. In the mornings, I had a combination of a energy bar(s), hard-boiled eggs, Muscle Milk, and/or fruit. They also made smoothies to the order.
