On multiple visits, whenever one particular staff member is working, her kids and their cousins are there, and the interactions with my child have been unkind and exclusionary. During one visit they were taunting her, and on another I had to step in and ask them to stop following her around and telling her she couldn't play with things. Another parent (the father of one of the kids) was standing there and even told them they needed to stop following her if they weren't going to be nice, so the issue was acknowledged in the moment. The situation escalated when my daughter lost her footing in the bounce house and accidentally landed near one of the kids. The child then told her mom that my daughter pinched her, which is not what happened -- I was standing right there the entire time. As a parent, it's really hard to watch your child be singled out or misunderstood, especially in a place that's supposed to feel safe and fun. What was also frustrating was that when I asked the staff member for the owner's email so I could address my concerns directly, she refused to provide it and said she wasn't allowed to share it. I found that disappointing, as I was simply trying to communicate respectfully with management about a serious concern. I'm sharing this because I hope management takes it seriously. This felt avoidable, and I wish the environment had been better monitored so all kids could play comfortably. I ultimately requested a refund for my remaining play days because I no longer feel comfortable bringing my child back.

Starting with the staff, Marshall is our favorite. She is so welcoming and has endless enthusiasm for not only the kids, but the role itself. She is gentle and a ball of kind energy wrapped up in a tiny package. You can tell she loves what she does, as it shows with her care and excitement for the kids. I'm sad to say I don't remember the male teacher's name, but he is beyond kind with the kids. He's able to capture their attention, and they absolutely love him. He's so kind and gentle with all the little, and they love him for it. The owner, Ceevan, is so nice and hands on. You can tell he cares a great deal about the location, staff, and kids. He is not afraid to get into the mix and jump in with the kids when needed. The facility itself has plenty of parking, is clean and well maintained. The kids are entertained and enthralled with the activities, and are spent of energy by the end of the class. Each time we leave, a nap for both adult and kid is needed. The stretching area is also in the walkway area, so it was kind of awkward stretching as people walked by or waited for their exercise class. Lockers and bathrooms were clean.

Thus, we paid over $2000 plus travel costs for about 15 minutes of total playtime. He took thousands and thousands of dollars from several families in this way. So it was even more insulting when we would show up to tournaments and there would be new players that no one had ever seen before, utilizing playtime that we paid for. I should have left when other parents expressed concerns. But then Kenny only responds when his money is on the line, otherwise you're ignored. I thought my son was in good hands. It was a total waste of a huge amount of money. Be careful of this organization. We feel completely taken advantage of.

Monarchs Gymnastics has been like a second home for our family. My daughter has been doing…read moregymnastics here since she was three years old, and she's been on the team for the past six years, training about 20 hours a week. Coach Connie was my daughter's first coach. So I can tell you first hand what an amazing coach she is. In all that time, I have only ever seen a safe, positive, and family-oriented environment. The coaches are incredible -- not only do they help the kids grow as athletes, but they also teach respect, discipline, and responsibility. Sometimes children may not always listen or act respectfully, but I know firsthand that the coaches are always focused on keeping the kids safe and guiding them in the right direction. We have trusted Monarchs with our daughter for over a decade, and I can say with complete confidence that this is one of the safest and most caring gyms you will find. If misunderstandings occur, I would hope families take time to reflect and acknowledge if they were wrong, because the coaches and staff here deserve nothing but respect and appreciation for the work they do. YES I DID CALL POLICE FOR THE ASSAULT ON A FIVE YEAR OLD BY A COACH. My daughter is five and had just come back to coach connie after missing 3 weeks of classes. She wasn't sticking the landing so coach Connie wouldn't give her a high five. My daughter was upset and when it was time to send all the girls for water all three girls ran to the water station where I WITNESSED CONNIE GRAB AND YANK MY CHILD BY THE ARM. She turned her entire body around aggressively to threaten her. I ran over and picked my daughter up and told coach connie that there was no reason to ever grab a child like that. My daughter said she was scared and hurting and that coach Connie told her she was going to punish her. I went to the front office where they pulled the footage, confirmed and said my daughter shouldn't have ran around the corner and it is their protocol to grab the child running around the corner. Only my child was grabbed. The coach was frustrated with my child for not sticking the landing and with her crying. This isn't how anybody working with children should react. I contacted the police department which I believe is lapd. They confirmed they saw the coach grab my daughter but that they stated the owner and the coach both said were safety protocols and because she didn't push, hit, or shove that they couldn't prove assault. Disappointing and disgusted to say the least! IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE. DONT GO HERE!

Our son and his friend started with the club when they were 14 and Chris helped them develop good values, inspired them to develop good study skills, helped them to visualize a successful future, and last but not least, taught them strong volleyball skills and strong team values. We have seen our son's skills and self esteem develop beyond our wildest dreams through our son's involvement with Chris and his team. Spectrum Volleyball Club is far more than a sport - boys develop into wonderful young men by being a part of Chris Harger's team.

I know all parent think there children should play more. But our son was a good player; he was good enough to be on the team. In reality I think he was just good enough for Chris to cash our check. My son did not go back this year to play. There were a few other players on the team that hardly ever played. One boy was really tall and an asset to our team, but he hardly ever played. That player was going out of state to play volleyball; after the season he figure he wasn't good enough to play so changed his college plans and isn't playing volleyball. Our son will continue to play high school volleyball. We were fortunate that his high school coach was so positive. One boy Chris sought out and told the boy he needed him on the team, his parents told me that Chris showed up at one of his games to asked him to play, emailed and called to try and get him back on the team. He hardly ever played the boy, he was sad. He was crushed. This boy was a good player, I saw him in the paper and he made First Team All CIF. So he wasn't a bad player. I hope that boy didn't quit, he was crushed. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. To add insult to injury, he email us with a flyer attached asking us to recommend him to other people. Instead I wrote this review. Hopefully it was save some boys son heartach and some parent some money.
