This place was my last meal in Italy. It was so good! This place seems pretty popular. The seating outside is lovely and they even had fans on. This was great for a hot July night. We got the octopus carpaccio (I think that is what they called it on the menu) and it was tender and delicious. My hubs got the carbonara and I got the pistachio crusted lamb chops. They were cooked to absolute perfection. The lamb was juicy and not over done at all. I remember also having wine and dessert, which were probably good, but I was half a bottle of wine deep and can't really remember. :) read more

During our stay in Rome, this was the worst experience by far. I don't know how the reviews are so good. This place is not ran by Italian chefs. Everything was bad to average at best! We started off with the mussels. The broth was lacking flavor and was extremely salty. It needed some more garlic and butter. On top of that, the mussels tasted old and were extremely small. The lamb chops had good flavor but were overcooked and didn't have much meat on them. Potatoes were overcooked and mushy as well. This could be a good dish if they cooked it right. Pizza was pizza. Those were all the best things to share with a group ! I ordered the pasta with garlic and chili flakes which was very good! My fav pasta experience in Italy. If you get carbonara anywhere, this is the spot to get it. Creamy, salty, and most importantly, tasty as heck. We got the fried calamari for appetizer and they were sweet and crunchy. Our waiter took our order pretty quickly and food came out within 15-20 mins. We sat outside and it was a nice vibe. Inside is okay, but the bathroom could be cleaner (the lock wasn't working when I visited). Overall, a solid time and glad to have checked them out. read more

We were looking for a place to eat lunch after our Colosseum visit, and wanted something away from the main Piazza del Colosseo, so we walked about 6 min and found this restaurant. They were very busy but we were able to get a table. Husband ordered Costolette Agnello (lamb chops), I ordered Pizza 4 stagioni (four sections, each representing a season; typical toppings are artichokes for spring, tomatoes and basil for summer, mushrooms for autumn, and prosciutto and olives for winter). When we were finished with our entrees, we saw other tables getting jars of dessert, so we asked the man who seemed to be owner, and he said it's Tiramisu, so we had to try it. SO much better than what we've been eating in America. This was our 1st tiramisu in Italy so we couldn't yet compare locally. read more

My friend and I were extremely hungry after visiting the Colosseum and didn't plan on a place to eat in advance so we stumbled across Iari The Vino while walking around and decided to try it. The cheese on the pizza was almost dry and the amount of toppings were minimal, especially for the price. I thought the pizza lacked flavor and the texture of the cheese was unappealing. I didn't think this place was worth it and regret not looking for other restaurants to try around the area. This spot was a minute's walk from our hotel, and we noticed how amazing the ambience was. When we walked by, we made eye contact with the owner and he was extremely friendly. We sat within 10 minutes on the patio and it was the greatest decision of our lives. We were in Rome for 3 days and these were the best Aperol/Hugo Spritz's we found. We went here for lunch while on vacation in Rome, after our tour of the Colosseum. Convenient location, however their prices reflect that. Our food was good and the service was good, just be prepared to pay tourist prices. They have outdoor and indoor seating. For a restaurant that nice, I would have expected a little cleaner bathrooms.
