We relocated from Los Angeles to a south Dallas suburb. We wanted to be closer with our daughter…read moreand new grandson. I looked for a cleaning service to do our regular once per month house cleaning. I interviewed several services. All of them right around $200. Texas Cleaning Service fell into the middle of the quotes not the lowest and not the highest. I called and spoke with their customer service representative, Tiffany. We had several lengthy conversations. These conversations were very specific pertaining to exactly what we needed, how many square feet in the living space etc. I then asked for a list of tasks as we had discussed. The list Tiffany sent was not totally inclusive of what was agreed upon during our conversations. I contacted her again and Tiffany sent a full list which concisely spelled out what they would have their team do during an appointment. I accepted the proposal. So far very good. Sometime before the appointment a person named Jacob began to get involved. He told my wife he was Tiffany's supervisor. This interaction could have gone one of two ways. After speaking with my wife he had some issues with the terms of the agreement that Tiffany and I had put into writing. That said, after revisiting the terms of the agreement he understood not only the pricing but further the amount of detail spelled out in the agreement and we moved cheerfully on. It's one thing to question things one may come across and another to actually have terms spelled out which protects not only us as consumers but also the vendors. My best advice is that Texas Cleaning Services provided a very good job at a fair but not lowest pricing available along with flexible staff, management and cleaning professionals coming from a point of view best in class service. This does not mean a verbal agreement is enough. Get all vendor agreements in writing. Jacob the supervisor did a good job standing behind their agreement. Irma the lead cleaner is very good, quite competent and we have requested her as our regular lead person. Maria also did an acceptable and the carpet vacuuming had that high pro finish and looked great for her portion of the work. Tiffany worked diligently to work all our needs into a cohesive document. All in all I recommend this company with 4 stars. They did lose a star for questioning the scope of work without reading through every point. That said, Jacob stepped up to ensure the agreement was going to be honored. So alls well that ends well and we are as committed to a long term relationship as we believe their organization is also committed. jc g

Updated because it looks like my original review was removed somehow. Also, I continue to find more…read moreand more issues with The Maids $885 "deep cleaning" after they ghosted me when I complained the next day. I replaced my bathroom lightbulbs on the hanging light fixture yesterday and there was a LAYER of dust on the top-clearly untouched. I moved a tiny baby's toy box and there was dirt/crumbs behind it-clearly the "maid's" had not moved ANYTHING during their $885 "deep clean." Frankly embarrassing for them to even offer this service and for all intents and purposes, a complete fraud. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We scheduled a "deep cleaning" service with your company today. Prior to the appointment, we called and spoke with a friendly woman to explain two key concerns we wanted addressed: 1. A significant pile of dust on a high ledge on our second story that our regular bi-weekly cleaning service has been unable to reach. We were assured that the cleaning team would bring a two-piece tool--and ideally a third extension--to access that area. 2. Wiping down frequently touched areas such as cabinet handles, door knobs, and baseboards, particularly where our children leave fingerprints. Please note that our home was professionally cleaned less than a week ago, so it was already in good condition aside from those specific requests. We were quoted approximately $415 for the service. Upon arrival, I reiterated our priorities to the cleaning team. They informed me that they had no knowledge of the dust issue and had not brought any equipment to address it. They also implied I was mistaken or fabricating the prior conversation, stating that the owner is male and that I could not have spoken with a woman. When I confirmed I had, they pressed me for her name--something I hadn't thought necessary to note during what I expected would be a straightforward interaction. More troubling was that the team made no effort to find a workaround or solution for cleaning the dust pile, leaving one of our primary concerns completely unaddressed. I also again pointed out the smudges and buildup on doorknob areas, cabinet handles, and baseboards and asked them to clean these spots. I even demonstrated how easily the dirt could be removed using a wet paper towel. I also inquired whether they had a product or tip for removing a stain from my child's carpet, but was told they had neither the supplies nor any advice to offer. Roughly an hour and a half later, they told me the primary bathroom and upstairs were complete. However, when I checked, the problem areas still had visible dirt. I again pointed this out and asked for it to be addressed. At that point, I was told it would take an additional 30 minutes and cost $190 more. I agreed--on the condition that the job be done thoroughly. The cleaners ultimately left around 2:45 p.m., having been at our home for about 2.5 hours. We were charged a total of $885--more than double the original estimate. This evening, I noticed that the only dirty dish in the house was left sitting in the sink, unwashed, despite a completely empty dishwasher. More concerning, many of the high-touch areas I'd highlighted remained untouched. I've taken photos showing this, as well as follow-up photos demonstrating how quickly I was able to clean these spots myself using nothing more than a wet paper towel. Given how clean our home already was, I'm left completely puzzled as to what was actually done during the visit. I ended up spending my evening doing the work we hired and paid your team--at a premium--to perform. I'll also now need to find another service to address the dust issue that was entirely ignored. In short, we are extremely disappointed--both by the quality of service and the final cost. The fact that my account of the pre-service discussion was challenged, and my integrity implicitly questioned, only added insult to injury. I would appreciate a prompt response regarding how your company intends to resolve this.
