I recently went to see Dr. Yoo for a colonoscopy. I found him through my insurance company website…read moreand saw that he was located nearby in Rowland Heights. When I called to make my appointment, I found out that Dr. Yoo moved his practice to a new building in Diamond Bar as of March 2024. Dr. Yoo's new office is located in the newly renovated Diamond Bar Medical Plaza, which was previously a Chuck E. Cheese (if you all were in the area when that was around). Looks like they are still in construction, as a couple offices are still vacant with plastic on the glass windows. The staff I encountered all very friendly and nice. Dr. Yoo was professional and clearly explained the process and indicated what I needed to do to prep for my procedure. I came in on a Monday and the front staff was able to fit me into an appointment on Thursday due to a last minute cancellation. This kind of procedure is not fun, but the entire staff made me feel comfortable the entire time, and the nurse who attended to me was so nice, I felt like my mom was taking care of me. =) She made sure I had extra blankets because I was cold and came by a couple times to made sure my IV was ok. I got a call the day after to follow up and see how I was feeling and if I was experiencing any issues. I appreciate the check in even though I was feeling good! I highly recommend Dr. Yoo if you need an gastroenterologist.

I was referred to Dr Wu years ago by my regular MD Dr Chen…read more I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis over twenty yeara ago and Dr Wu has performed serveral colonoscopies and keeps my ulcerative colitis in remission. His staff is trilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin and English so he can handle a variety of patients although I'd estimate his base to be majority of Chinese. He's open on a few Saturdays each month which is convenient and he uses an outpatient facility in Whittier for exams which is minutes from my Whittier residence. In addition, Dr Wu has a technician that conducts ultrasound test of the abs for non intrusive procedures or a combination with colonoscopy for detailed accuracy. His staff is friendly, professional and they always call the day before to remind patients of their appointment. Dr Wu is an expert, I'm receiving IVIG for auto immune illness Phemphigus Vulgaris and he prescribed me medicine for preventing hepatitis B - pricy at $1080.00 for a 30 day supply! I also need 3 months of once a month consecutive shots also. I'm definitely satisfied with Dr. Wu and would recommend him to everyone.

We followed the process and sent updated paper work and sent over current status from our primary physician. After 3 additional follow up calls checking on status, only on our fourth call on 4/29 did the nurse say Dr. Wu does not want to perform the procedure because he is not performing our main treatment that is unrelated to his expertise. So even though my father is suffering from black stool and we are scared of what it might be, he is denied care by Steven Wu. At least he could've told us earlier at the start, instead of wasting our time for over 2 weeks looking elsewhere. We were told wait, he will get back to us after he examined results of our paperwork/diagnosis. It feels like his staff does not prioritize well being and care as they never once called us back, and only in the end to say he's not doing it. A doctor that denied care to a patient is who this person is.

Our first visit wasn't so pleasant he seemed to have a bit of an attitude when I tried to relay my concerns, especially when I asked questions. Long story short he suggested ordering stool samples and decided once we received the results we would figure out the next step. We scheduled a phone appointment and he called me a couple of weeks later. It was a four min call! He basically said that the test he ordered came back normal and if I had anymore concerns. I could always call back and schedule another appointment. He then quickly asked me for my card information. I was so surprised to be charged $60 dollars just for him to provide me with my sons test results. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere.

I write this review with immense gratitude for dr. Patel. After being very sick for several months…read moremy symptoms became increasingly worse and debilitating. Not knowing where to turn or whom to trust, thankfully a dear friend referred me to Dr. Patel. During my first appointment, Dr. Patel listened carefully to my concerns and understood that I was not only in severe pain but also nervous about being in a doctor's office. She quickly put me at rest with her compassionate and positive bedside manner. After her very thorough examination, she scheduled multiple tests. These tests identified serious but treatable GI issues, a hormonal imbalance, and a large ulcer that I was completely unaware of. Within a short time after starting treatment I was a newer better version of myself. Now, months later, I continue to improve and truly appreciate Dr. Patel for her incredible ability and willingness to address my medical issues.

She understood how exhausted I was and showed me warm caring as well, which I appreciated! The endoscopy she suggested went very smoothly, with her by my side to answer my questions, beforehand and afterwards. Since my two visits, I've called her office with questions to her medical assistant, Precious, and I received answers from Dr. Patel within a day as well as a personal reply from her via email. Though she is listed here with a Tustin, CA office, she has a Mission Viejo office as well--it's very convenient for me!

I am writing this review after a deeply upsetting and unprofessional experience during my recent…read morefollow-up appointment. I was called in to discuss blood test results, but the appointment quickly devolved into a confrontation because I had not yet completed two routine screening tests (Mammogram and Pap test), which I delayed due to a recent family emergency. Instead of courteously discussing my situation or checking on my well-being, the doctor accused me of being uncooperative. He was visibly upset and--without any discussion--he abruptly stormed out of the room, leaving the nurse to speak to me instead. The nurse's attitude was equally dismissive. She doubled down on the accusation of non-compliance, stating I should change doctors, and added that I hadn't taken a previously prescribed medication. When I stated I had no record or notification of that prescription, she simply declared it was "not their fault" and effectively ignored my attempt to clarify a misunderstanding. The lack of care and courtesy was shocking. Patients should expect compassion and an effort to understand their individual circumstances, not to be treated like a child being reprimanded by an old-fashioned school faculty for "bad behavior." I understand now why this office has received so many negative reviews. There are many excellent, compassionate family doctors accepting new patients. I strongly advise anyone seeking respectful care to avoid this practice.

Dr. Lah seemed quite bothered with the fact that he had to see another doctor's patient....and he didn't hide his feelings about this. He was very rude, arrogant and had terrible bedside manner. Everything that he said he was going to do (follow up after labs and call back with results) was not done. When my husband called the doctors office to follow up on results, the staff said there was no lab results. He was told that they would find out the status and call him back. He never received calls back (even weeks after the tests were done) and kept calling back and got the same response every time. The only reason my husband would go back would be to specifically see Dr. Shindel. These two doctors are like night and day and I would absolutely recommend Dr. Shindel (if you can get an appointment to see him.)
