I have recommended them to several of my friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of A/C work. They are honest and professional and really put customer satisfaction and appreciation first. As an example of this, I just had my roof redone due to hurricane Irma. In the process of re-roofing, the roofer put a nail through the a/c refrigerant line right on the edge where it goes out the soffit and down the back of the house (had to run line through attic). The roofer was hesitant to take responsibility and so I called Comfort Zone and they sent someone out, found the problem and then fixed it. The roofer said the line was too close to the roof. Was it? I'm not too sure, I mean it has to go out the soffit and there is not much room at the edge of the roof. Either way, the roofer could have avoided the problem if they just looked in the attic before starting the job. I mean, there is a chase running down the back of the house right up to the soffit and into the attic. The bottom line is that Alberto (Comfort Zone president) stepped up and handled the situation. Our AC has been out for a week and we called them to run a diagnostic test to find out the issue. Junior came out, was really pushy, and refused to run the test and made us pay $75 just to tell us we need a new AC. We asked for diagnostic report to list what was wrong with our AC and he never provided it and I'm not even sure he really knew what was wrong. We had Van Eddies come out and their tech fixed the issue in 5 minutes and didn't charge us a dime. It's obvious Comfort Zone Air Conditioning is a sales company and not a repair company. Please be warned- they do not care about your "comfort", they only care about making money. We have a little one and it made no difference to them we were suffering in the heat during a FL summer for over a week. Contact them at your own risk.

Someone I know purchased their AC system from Ameritech. On the side of the AC Handler, they placed…read morea sticker with a graphic that says "AMERITECH. REPAIR IT. REPLACE IT. MAINTAIN IT." Do not be fooled. When their AC went out on a Saturday night, they sent a technician the next afternoon to fix it. Over the course of a four hour service call, the technician identified that the circuit board, and OEM product from Japan, would be needed in order to get the system back online. By the way, it was July in Florida. The company maintained that the circuitboard would not be available in the near future, and that the customer should call back in two weeks to check status. Again, July in Florida - with no air conditioning. Miraculously the part arrived six days after the original failure, and a technician was dispatched 48 hours later (no right away - 2 full days later) to install and complete repair. A different technician arrived this time, Alex. Alex opened up the AC Handler and within 10 MINUTES found that a fuse was bad and needed replaced. THAT'S IT! No circuit board was needed after all. Ameritech did not take responsibility for the error and charged over $400 for labor for the ordeal. ''Nevermind that the customer's system was misdiagnosed entirely, made to wait in the Florida heat inside their home, which exceeded temperatures of 85º inside with humidity. Alex is a great AC tech, no doubt about it. But Ameritech should have some degree of ethical standards, which they clearly have not shown in this case.

The price we were quoted was exactly what we paid, even though he had to do some unexpected things. One unexpected thing was to change the placement of the air filter from the outside unit to the return duct inside the house. That entailed the owner special ordering a new return duct cover so it could accommodate the new filter, but no additional charge to us.
