Long story short, Lisandro won us over with his candid assessment of our problem -- a very kind and honest AC repairman who saved us from replacing our entire AC! We have been replacing our freon with increasing frequency over the past few years. Other AC repair guys had tried to find a presumed coil leak, but no luck. It finally reached the point where we decided something had to be done; as our system is 9 years old, replacing it seemed like it might make the most sense. We got quotes from 3 larger companies. None of them impressed us (not friendly, not competitive, or negative reviews). After a few weeks of debating, we lined up three more quotes. North Pole was the final one we tried -- not from any personal recommendations, but because of the google reviews. ALL the companies have good reviews, but almost none have no bad reviews. The lack of bad reviews made me call North Pole. Lisandro came out to give us a quote for a new AC system, but instead convinced my husband to let him look at the system (for free). He said he almost guaranteed a freon leak from the coils, and convinced us to let him replace the coils instead, to give us a few more years with the current system. He was intent on "rescuing" our system. He even offered to top up the freon (up to a certain threshhold). He did the work promptly and finished fast. He even cleaned our outside equipment at no charge. And he's a fun guy to talk to! You can really see that he is passionate about his job. In short, North Pole and Lisandro are winners in my book. After a licensed electrician messed up wiring in my home, my AC stopped working. With indoor pets, including a long-haired German Shepherd, we definitely couldn't go without AC during the summertime in Florida, so I texted Lisandro late in the evening, and he said he could stop by the very next morning after his first appointment. It didn't take long for him to run some tests and see why our AC was not working (the electricians did not have everything wired correctly), and he also corrected some potential fire hazards, and checked some parts and other wiring with our AC. Never in my entire adult life have I had a harder working contractor than Lisandro Fernandez of North Pole Air Conditioning and Heating Services here in Orlando Florida. I found several contractors thru the BBB and North Pole was one of them. I also checked Yelp and read the reviews of several companies. I had 3 come to the house to give me estimates and Lisandro was within the range of estimates given. However, what set Lisandro apart from the others was the genuine desire to absolutley give me the best customer service and he did not fail in accomplishing that end. I received a highly detailed estimate (unlike the others) timely return of texted messages and phone calls. He constantly kept me informed on the progress of the job and issues that would arise from time to time. He was absolutely amendment in providing me with the very best installation of my new AC unit and with extra touches that was never mentioned by the contract. Thermostat at home was not working properly. A/c would turn on but shut off quick and not cool the house. I was browsing for an a/c tech and came across North Pole Air Conditioning. I gave it and shot and called and Lisandro answered and was very professional and polite. He said he was super busy for the next couple days and couldn't take a look at the a/c till Monday which was 4 days away. North Pole A/C is the best service A/C company in Orlando. Lisrando is a true professional and puts the needs of his customer first. His expertise and trustworthiness are why I am writing this review. When I moved to FL, I knew I had a 10 yr old AC unit that would need to be replaced soon. NP serviced the unit on a hot summer day when it was cycling. Lisrando could of easily taken advantage of the situation to his benefit, but advised me that I can keep it running with periodic checks for another year or two. North Pole did exactly that, kept it running cost efficiently until it was on its last legs. If I had a problem I would call him and he would make it by that evening and service the unit to keep it going. The new unit he installed has been running perfectly for now for 6 months. I have had Lisandro servicing my old heat pump and finally came time to replace the system. He gave me a quote and an estimated time for installation. My old system was not cooling properly so he made sure it was topped off to last me until he could get the job accomplished. He showed up when promised and had me inspect the new units and began working. He had to work around the plumbing work I also had going on at the same time which he did so in a very professional manner. Lisandro took on the outside unit and his assistant Luis tackled the air handler inside. The work was done neatly and professionally and I couldn't be happier with the performance and results. I seldom write reviews but this company definitely deserves to be recognized. Lisandro responded expediently to my request for an evaluation of the a/c unit. He expertly diagnosed the unit and informed me of the rather bad news. He was able to bring the unit to a temporary operative status for the tenants. He consulted with the manufacturer and put together a quote with the majority of the quote being parts. I agreed to the work. On his own, Lisandro went back to the manufacturer, argued on my behalf and the manufacturer agreed the parts should have been under warranty. I am not sure who was happier - Lisandro or myself when he told me. He had saved me over a thousand dollars! The rest of the work was done quickly and professionally. Calling on a Thursday afternoon, most of the well known repair companies in the area barely talked to me and scoffed at the fact that I wanted someone to come out within the next day. One company even complained that it was raining. That being said, calling North Pole started a whole new experience. I was visiting my retired Mom & Dad in Florida this week when their A/C unit went out suddenly. Thank God for this company. I had another company come out and check my AC, which hadn't been working for a week, and they told me that I was going to have to replace the entire AC unit because the compressor was broken. Something didn't feel right...and I had used North Pole AC before and trusted this company so I decided to get a second opinion. Surprise!
