Mine, unfortunately, is on my roof but there is there an access ladder on the side of my 3 story townhouse. (important to note that my AC is also on the roof and I get that serviced) So thus begins my story. Reliable was recommended by a neighbor to service my all house generator, so I reached out and scheduled an appointment as they were also recommended by the brand of generator that I have. I purchased an annual service plan and they came out quickly, replaced the battery, did a tune up and helped me get it up on line with the app since I didn't have wifi when the generator was installed. I was very pleased with the level of service. Fast forward 6 months when I got a service disruption message on the app. I called to have them come out. Their service rep shows up to do the work but says he has no ladder to to access the ladder that is on the side of my unit and that someone will call to reschedule. I wait 5 days for them to call and then call them back and they say they will be there the next day. Great. The next day I get a text confirming they will be there and that I am the 2nd appointment. 5 hours later I call to see if they are still coming and then they tell me they don't have the right technician or equipment to do the job. All of a sudden it's a 2 man job and they don't have the people to do the work. This back and forth trying to get the unit serviced went on for a couple of more weeks. Customer service is very hard to reach. They will not put you through to the manager, Daniel, they say they are going to call you back, they don't- I actually had to have someone else call from a different number and a pretend address to get through to a live person. Ridiculous! Long story short- they did the right thing and fulfilled the maintenance contract that I had and then promptly sent me an email that they were cancelling future work on the unit given it was on the roof and hard to access. So the three star rating is for knowing their stuff when they actually show up, and fulfilling their obligations which I appreciated. I just wish it hadn't taken so much work. And know if your generator is easily accessible you may have no problems with them. As for me, I reached out to the generator company to let them know of the challenges I had and that they should make note before they recommend Reliable that they should ask where the generator is located.

She assured me they were a customer oriented company. And care. They really do care. I signed on did my first service All good. They told me my oil was dirty and low no coolant and more the previous company didn't do much service for a big fee. Supercenter. I originally brought my motorhome in to have a coolant leak repaired on the onboard generator. The…read moregenerator was kept for about a week, and I was charged just over $2,200, with labor billed at $175 per hour, to replace two coolant hoses. When I picked the coach up, the coolant leak was resolved, but the generator was now leaking diesel fuel heavily--an issue that did not exist prior to their repair. After contacting the shop, I asked if a technician could come to my home to address the problem. Taking the motorhome back in would have required unloading the refrigerator, emptying the coach, repacking it, and leaving it at their facility again. This request was refused. The only option offered was for me to bring the entire motorhome back and leave it with them. Ultimately, I investigated the issue myself and found that the diesel leak was caused by the fuel filter--either due to the nut being overtightened and spun during installation, or a defective filter. I replaced the filter myself, reinstalled it properly, and resolved the issue. This could have been a simple service call or quick fix, especially considering the amount already paid and the fact that the problem arose immediately after their work. Instead, no assistance or flexibility was offered beyond requiring me to transport and leave the entire motorhome again. The issue here is not whether the leak could be fixed--it's that basic customer service and accountability were declined. For the price charged, I expected a much higher level of support when a post-repair issue surfaced. Instead I got nothing but lame excuses and a total disregard for my time and effort.
