    Wet Cajun wings

The people were very friendly we came in with a big group and they were very accommodating. The portions were very generous and the wings were super crispy and flavorful. The salad was very good. Would definitely go again.

This place has been around for as long as I can remember but not one that I frequent now but did in my early 20's for their cold beer and good wings. This particular visit a few weeks ago was for an after dance recital birthday party for my daughters friend and fellow dancer. They had a section set up and ready to accommodate the party of around 25. Due to illness and call-offs there was only one waitress for the whole establishment and, while I forget her name, she did a fabulous job keeping up with the needs of the party while handing her normal customers as well. I would consider this somewhat of a divey type of atmosphere but just as I remembered, the beer was nice and cold. We ordered a basket of hot pepper cheese balls which were good and only slightly spicy. A friend ordered the nacho supreme app and I had to add it to my review because the portion was huge and it was just a large basket of deliciousness as you'll see in the pic. I decided on a Texas themed burger which consisted of a thick patty topped with bacon, cheese, onion rings and BBQ sauce. Was a tasty burger and one that I had to finish with a fork because between the juices from the burger and the BBQ sauce, the bun began to fall apart. Some may hate that but I didn't mind. This burger paired with a side of fresh cut fries made for a decent meal. I have to mention that my wife ordered wings which were cooked nice and crispy but the sauce was so minimally applied that it seemed like plain wings without sauce. All in all, if you need a quick night out for some bar burgers and cold beer, this is not a bad spot to consider.

Little Dakotah Burger and Fries The meat was the freshest I v had ...farm to plate. The Goldrush sauces makes this burger a full 10

Ok so that was quite the surprise. Top notch food in a very local restaurant and bar. The wings were crispy fresh...with goldrush sauce and hot sauce....the goldrush was my fav though both were great. The Dakota Burger was fresh meat from a local butcher. You can really taste the fresh. Bloody Marys simply delish. Really nothing to complain about. Staff was friendly.....service on point. This lil hole in the wall was worth every bite. 4 Bloody Marys 1 Dakota Burger W/Fries 12 wings w/ Fries=about $47

This was my first time here, & it was very hard to choose what to order due to the diverse menu, and having friends who advocated for a variety of different selections on the menu. After a lot of internal debate I decided to go for one of the burgers. The "Big Joe" to be exact! I was absolutely impressed with how fresh all of the ingredients were! It was absolutely delicious! The menu seemed very fairly priced! I will definitely be back!

Had the nachos supreme, they were okay, a touch soggy. Atmosphere is loud & rough. I like it.

Good place for good and fun. Get the beer battered chicken or Friday Fish Fry. They have good bands from time to time and Sunday Ticket.

Chipper's Bar & Grill, where the drinks are overpriced, the food is lackluster, and the ambiance?…read moreWell, it's like if you took the local police blotter, sprinkled in a few late-night soap operas, and added a dash of "drama-filled, drug-fueled weekend vibes." First, let's start with the drinks, because we have to talk about this. I'm not saying they're charging you rent for a drink, but I'm starting to feel like I'm paying off a mortgage every time I get a beer here. $8 for a well drink? I know this is a bar, not a fine dining establishment, but come on, I'm not paying for a drink that costs more than my last therapy session. At this rate, I'm halfway to owning stock in the liquor company. And don't get me started on the "specialty cocktails." I ordered one once, and I swear, it came with a side of regret and financial anxiety. Now, let's talk about the food. It's not bad, per se--it's just that it's, well, lackluster. Like, imagine you're hungry and you want something to eat, but you also don't want to make any long-term commitments. You get a burger that's somehow both dry and greasy at the same time, with fries that taste like they've been waiting for you to show up since last Tuesday. It's the kind of food that leaves you thinking, "Did I just eat something, or did I just participate in a weird, short-lived experiment in disappointment?" But here's the real kicker--the atmosphere. You know when people say, "Oh, it's a fun, lively bar with a lot of character?" Yeah, well, Chipper's takes that and cranks it up to 11. If you're looking for a place that feels like it's been picked as the set for a low-budget cop drama, you've found your spot. I swear, every time I've gone in, there's at least one person arguing with the bartender, someone else looking for their "special something" (I'm being vague for a reason), and a few folks who definitely belong in the local police blotter. If you're hoping to enjoy a quiet drink while listening to the latest true crime podcast, well, guess what? You're living it. And the drama--oh, the drama. It's like a never-ending soap opera, with each scene getting crazier than the last. One minute, someone's telling the bartender they're going to "get the manager," the next, the guy in the corner is having an extremely loud conversation about his conspiracy theories. And don't even think about showing up with a date, because at least five people will whisper to you about the history of their last "complicated situation." It's like watching a reality show where no one is happy, but everyone's invested in someone else's mess. And let's be real, Chipper's isn't just a "place for a drink" -- it's a destination for chaos. If you enjoy watching the local drama unfold with the occasional police siren in the background, this is your place. For me, I'm just here for the show and to enjoy some overpriced drinks that make me feel like I'm living the high life. So, is Chipper's Bar & Grill worth a visit? Sure--if you want to test your nerves, try not to get caught in someone else's drama, and pay more for a drink than you probably should. If you're into that kind of thing, then welcome to the wildest Tuesday night of your life.

I ended up taking my meal to-go and ate it later -- absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the bartender completely changed the experience for me. She was a redhead working the bar around 7:30 PM, and from the moment I sat down, she was noticeably unwelcoming. I was literally the only person sitting at the bar, yet she barely checked on me, offered no conversation, and honestly came across with an attitude the entire time. As someone who has worked in the bartending industry myself and who travels often visiting different restaurants and bars, hospitality matters. A bartender sets the tone for the entire experience, especially for solo guests. Sitting alone at a bar can already feel awkward enough, and a warm, welcoming attitude goes a long way. I still tipped her generously despite the experience, because that's just who I am, but management should really pay attention to how guests are being treated behind the bar. It's disappointing because I truly loved the place itself and wanted to give it a full 5 stars. With better customer interaction from the bartender, this place would easily deserve it. The day I was there tonight, which was May 18th 2026. I arrived about 730 and left about 845.
