He understood what I needed and brought me to an excellent blade. It is a Boker. It's perfect. So perfect it even got a name. It doesn't really matter why this blade is so important to me, I mean it does and it doesn't, but whoever reads this, especially whoever pays Erhan, he took my concern seriously and solved my problem. He was so knowledgeable it felt like I was buying a car. In a good way. This blade is roughly around a hundred. Forgive me for mistaking its price to be less. Im used to just grabbing any ol' blade. This is a great gift shop, and it seems to have some thing for everyone. The staff is very helpful. There are many different kinds of stones and beautiful decorations of all kinds. They have lovely bead bracelets made of natural semi precious stones. I bought a gorgeous amber bracelet, which seems to help me sleep. They have a wonderful collection of stunning, decorated knives and swords which would make wonderful gifts.! Also, they have adorable little dragon, statues, and all kinds of cute necklaces and earrings, and very giftable things, like little stone, carved animals, etc. A very nice collection of incenses also. It's also quite affordable. Just many beautiful natural things. It is definitely worth the trip. Wonderful gift shop! read more

I am not one to write a bad review normally, especially against a small business, but what I had to go through with this place has to be said. I had purchased a crystal, advertised as 'Polished Malachite'. Once I got it home, I noticed most of the color beginning to come off on my hands. I saw underneath it was just some black crystal, painted green. I brought this back to the store, bringing my more assertive father as I was anticipating a bit of backlash for attempting to get my money back. We calmly explained the situation, and the manager we were talking to refused to budge on the return policy, even though it was clear I was sold something that was advertised as something else. During the back and forth, the manager called my father something under her breath, and when asked what she said she said 'Oh, I just said you were awesome' sarcastically. Eventually the owner came over and said something along the lines of 'They aren't listening to reason, just give them what they want so they'll get out'. This situation could have been handled a lot better and instead of trying to demean and belittle us into admitting I was at fault (for bringing an issue with their product to their attention), I would have hoped they would have approached us at least with a little bit of respect and understanding. As soon as I showed the manager the stone, with parts of the color rubbed off, she got defensive and insisted I had done something to it, or that it was 'reconstituted', which I would not have bought in the first place. Hopefully this was a learning experience for everyone involved and they are more careful with their advertising in the future, and how they treat clients who bring problems to their attention. I wish I could continue to support them, but now I am wondering what else in my collection is fake, or 'reconstituted' or painted, whatever. And now that I know they have no problem making it difficult to return a product that was falsely advertised, I am wary to step into the store again at all. Wish them the best, and hopefully this was all just a big misunderstanding. read more

My friend and I recently went to Ice Imports, a store where my friend has shopped for years. While browsing the extensive selection, a customer entered, making unreasonable demands, clearly in violation of Ice Imports 30 day return policy (clearly posted on the back of the register.) The staff maintained the utmost professional courtesy in the face of mounting discourtesy and impossible expectations. Specifically the customer demanded a return of an item purchased in July of 2011 (it is now April 2012). After being politely refused a cash or return credit the customer proceeded to verbally attack the workers and franchise itself, including going so far as to slander the professional practices and quality of merchandise offered by Ice Imports to other customers, who may I add were also being kept waiting by this deranged woman. It should be noted that the other customers including my friend and I found endless enjoyment in the skillful handling of what was clearly a rabid beast by the staff. No sooner had this unfortunate creature departed from the premises, muttering sibilantly about it's "precious" then the entire store burst into laughter with the exception of the staff. The bottom line is that Ice Imports has continued to present itself as the premier location in southern Connecticut to find a wide variety of weapons, tools, and spiritual aids, while never sacrificing courtesy in the utmost to their customers. After visiting with my friend I will certainly return to begin my own collection. 10/10 will shop there again! read more
