Frequented…read moreprimarily by UNC students based on its proximity to the school, this place has a fun vibe and also tons of spots to sit and work. They offer matcha (with boba and jellies to add) and shaved ice. I didn't know about the shaved ice but someone ordered while I was there and I am intrigued. It looked delicious so I may have to come back to try. I got a large strawberry matcha with boba. It was $8.33 after tax, which I feel like is reasonable for the size and quality of the drink. This is definitely one of the better matcha spots I have enjoyed. I sat outside since the weather was nice and sipped on my drink. Not a spot I'll likely visit often based on proximity but definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Rounding up to 4 stars because the rice plate was a good value at $12.95. For the rice plate, the pork was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Not a huge deal but the crispy part fell off from the meat so it took more effort to eat the whole thing. The broccoli wasn't too salty and balanced out fried pork. The broccoli was room temperature though likely intentional for this Taiwanese dish. Tea egg could've been stewed longer for better flavor. Overall, I'll come back again if I have a hankering for Taiwanese food. Milk tea had good flavor but boba was overcooked and soggy. Pudding was good. I also forgot to adjust the sugar and ice level so make sure you do that!

The Halo Halo here cost $10+, the most expensive Halo Halo we ever purchased. For a mediocre blend, it's quite a joke to set this kind of dessert at that price. We would happily pay $10+ more if this Halo Halo was made extra special with more loaded ingredients or a taller serving, but there's nothing special in Tea-Rex's version. The Halo Halo was served to our table in front of the Pork & Spoon concession instead of us having to pick it up from the concession, so we appreciate Tea-Rex's customer service. Burlington Food Hall seemed to have a nice casual dining space to enjoy food but its layout of the shops is questionable. We had to go to the back area of the building to find Tea-Rex and the few other spots while Pork & Spoon is very visible in the front area of the hall. We haven't tried any of Tea-Rex's milk teas & other desserts but from what we've seen in its concession, the milk teas look quite generic. Pork & Spoon referred us to them when we asked if they offered Halo Halo, which I thought was a good teamwork between the two shops in Burlington Food Hall. Sadly, neither shops gave us a good reason to revisit this new food hall. I will publish my review of Pork & Spoon soon. As for Tea-Rex NC, their Halo Halo was just disappointing. We rather get the $8+ Halo Halo in the Oriental Store in Raleigh, but that's another story. | Overall Score: 2.0/5

They come out with new drinks often and switch up the menu for the seasons. The mango coco is my favorite, it's so refreshing and the perfect sweetness. The Oreo taiyaki is warm and soft with an Oreo on the inside. The staff always welcomes you as soon as you walk in and the service is quick. The inside is the cutest with anime themed decor, board games, cute picture spots, and comfy seating. Definitely recommend checking them out! Went back and got mango sago. It's mango mixed with ice cream and tapioca pearls at the bottom. Soooo refreshing and the tapioca is a nice texture and sweetness

While 80 isn't all that hot for the South, it's gonna be hotter inside, especially with all the equipment giving off heat. And it was. Turn the AC on! Along with letting in the heat and road dust from the busy street only a few feet away, warmer weather also brings bugs. A place with lots of sweet stuff is gonna attract flies, bees, and wasps. And no AC is a shitty way to treat your employees. The next thing I noticed walking in was the excessively loud music. I had to raise my voice just to place my order! Again, not great for your employees to be assaulted by noise while trying to work and help customers. There were a few customers ahead of me but I still think 15 minutes is too long for a drink with 3 ingredients. There were 3 people working there. It was also not competitive in price with other places in Greensboro. There are a lot of other boba places to choose from. I will pick another one next time.

We've…read morebeen to the location in Raleigh and it was good too: https://www.yelp.com/biz/moge-tee-raleigh-raleigh So far, this seems like a solid bubble tea brand. At this location, I tried the Rose Bubble Milk Tea (half sugar, large size, $6.25) and the Mango Tea Slush (half sugar, $6.25). The Rose Bubble Milk Tea was available in medium (500 mL, $5.25) and large (700 mL). I believe the Mango Tea Slush was available in large size only. Prices were before tip and tax. Both drinks were well made, good quality, and delicious. The Fresh Rose Bubble Milk Tea had a nice balance of tea, milk, and boba flavor. The boba was fresh and had appetizing consistency. The Mango Tea Slush was made with real mango. Like other bubble tea shops with fruit teas, Moge Tee had prefilled cups with mango ready to go. Upon ordering, they added ingredients to the mango and blended everything together. The drink was icy cold, refreshing, and tasty. Again, good quality. Sweet, but not too sweet. Moge Tee has a good selection of drinks. Aside from the aforementioned bubble milk and fruit teas, they have cheese foam drinks, yogurt fruit tea, milk swirl drinks (e.g., brown sugar boba), uji matcha (highest-grade matcha), tofu pudding drinks, and more. Service has been fine. The first time, we ordered with an employee at the counter. The second time, there was a self-serve kiosk off to the side with a touchpad. Overall, Moge Tee is one of the better bubble tea chains we've tried so far in the Triangle. There's also a location on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. This location is on 9th St in Old West Durham, near Duke East Campus. It opened in February 2021. For both of our visits, we parked on the street for free. It's two-hour parking, 8am-6pm.
