Ice cream was interesting and delicious. Plus huge serving sizes but the burger itself was average. Would definently go again.

The flavors are unique and taste amazing!! They are so rich but not overly sweet. You can see the staff making the ice cream in the back. We tried berry cheesecake, banana nutella, dough n cookies, honeybud, and strawberry matcha. All of them were fantastic! Our favorites were berry cheesecake, banana nutella and dough n cookies!!

We tried to stop here the night before, but the line was about 80 people long. We came back Saturday midday and quickly learned why. While the parking lot was still packed, there was no line once we got inside. And once I started sampling the ice cream, it felt like it was just me floating in the clouds. Across all three flavors, the first thing that stood out was the texture. The Golden Passion Fruit was bright, the Banana Nutella was rich, and the Caramel Cashew was rich. Every scoop was remarkably dense, silky, and creamy. The Golden Passion Fruit was dairy-free, which I'm not entirely sure how that technically qualifies as ice cream. While I have spooned plenty of diary free deserts into my mouth, I have never ordered a dairy free in a commercial creamery so this was going to be a first. But after that first sample, the thought of daily free never crossed my mind. It was dense, rich, smooth, and immensely flavorful. It tasted exactly like the passion fruit I've picked off the trees just minus the seeds. It was bright and was incredibly concentrated. It was outstanding. While this wasn't my order, the person who did order this made the mistake of letting my try their double scoop dish. It was tough to give it back. The Banana Nutella tasted exactly like it sounds. The base was thick, creamy, and custardy with the banana and hazelnut flavors clearly coming through. The Caramel Cashew was also a standout. The caramel brought a deep buttery sweetness while the cashews added a roasted, nutty richness that kept it from becoming overly sweet. In the same dish, those were like rival siblings: they could hang together when they have to, but would prefer the attention be focused solely on them. Scoop sizes were standard and appeared consistent across all the orders. The young crew seemed well trained on portion control and sample limits. They were strictly by the book with two samples maximum. Luckily, someone in my group only wanted one sample, so I was able to claim their unused allocation. I wasn't ready to stop tasting and understand their limits. This may be the highest concentration of cream and dairy richness I've ever experienced in a commercial creamery. The texture was exceptionally dense, silky, and indulgent. As the legend goes - King Arthur had a round table because all the knights were equal. But as we know in real life, some are more equal than others. The Passion Fruit and the Caramel Cashew were definitely more equal, but please don't think the BN was a slouch. All deserved to be on the podium. When you start in heaven, everything else is hell. I HATE ;-) Blacksmith Ice Cream for it may have permanently ruined my perspective on ice cream!

It has now top my favorite soft ice cream spot from California. This one has fun flavors compared to the other spots. I got the salted vanilla bean and that was great. Had nice specs of vanilla bean and you know when there's specs it's gonna be dank. Nice sense of salt on the side. They also let you do samples if you would like I tried the blueberry milk and that was kind of like a tangy blueberry so I didn't like that. The carrot cake was not too, Katie but more of like a super pumpkin spice type, I was disappointed in. They can also give you magic dip shells, which is awesome. Good serving for normal size. They need to pay the lady double because she was working in the shop by herself on a Saturday afternoon taking orders and slinging ice cream. Ice cream so good i went back for round two. Got the strawberry milk with confetti shell and it was great. The confetti shell is on the sweet side but paired well with the strawberry.

I got a create your own with salted vanilla bean soft serve topped with fruity pebbles, normal sprinks, and chocolate sprinks. They appear to make their own sprinks out of different versions of chocolate and they are delicious! They and the fruity pebbles gave an amazing crunch to my selection. My one criticism is that the cup was filled with ice cream with only a little bit of topping on top, but I went back to ask if I could get more topping and they quickly did so at no additional cost noting that there hadn't been much chopping to begin with. They loaded me up and I was able to distribute it through the whole cup.

Another great Utah ice cream!…read more High cream content, creative flavors. The place is small, but they also have several tables upstairs. The main downstairs just feels a bit cramped. Employees are friendly and helpful. I sampled the G.O.A.T. Wonderful flavor that didn't taste at all like goat cheese, which is used to make the base. There is a blueberry swirl and rosemary seasoned almond slivers. So good. I also sampled their Mint Chocolate Chip. It was white. They seep their mint leaves or some process that I can't exactly remember to make the base. Different. Tastes great, more spearminty than the usual mint chocolate chip ice creams. I had the Muddy Buddy and Honeycomb. The Muddy Buddy was good, I enjoyed the chocolate ice cream. It needs more of that delicious peanut butter ribbon and less of the Muddy Buddy Chex. There were too many which got in the way of enjoying the ice cream and they were too sweet. Not going to order that again. The Honeycomb--oh my. I should have just gotten two scoops of that. It was divine. Good reason why they are known for it. So glad that they are open until 11:00 p.m. That makes it nice for when you get out of an Utah Symphony concert at Abravanel Hall. It's a 10 minute walk from there. Everything else is closed. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
