As regulars left full, they looked loved and seen, each one getting a big mama hug from Mrs. Martha or Martin. She gives the sense that all is well in the world when she's there. Tristan provided exceptional service. Josh quietly cleared small plates as I finished. I noticed the team happily supporting each other as guests left and new ones arrived. The 9:00 AM early bird crowd was perfect--I even got away with enjoying this fine dining experience in shorts and a school T-shirt. The music was just right as I practiced my French on Duolingo. The candied bacon did not taste candied at all and was more like slices of ham than bacon in my book, but they were tasty. The croissant was delicious, but I was not a fan of the hash browns. The flavor was okay but they were just hard. I took a few bites but didn't finish them because they were just too hard. I would not order them again. The chocolate bread, however, was divine. It was a good balance of bread and chocolate so that neither was overwhelming. While I would not order the hash browns again, everything else was good enough to warrant a return for breakfast in the future.
