All the folks leaving bad reviews here are fools. This is the best Teriyaki in the area. Yes, I've tried them all, and always come back for Ichi. Ichi is a chain, with numerous locations within 50 miles of Portland. I've ate at three or four of them, and this one is my favorite. Prices do seem a bit much, $9-12 per person, but I may just be cheap. They are very friendly owners and employees. I recommend H-9, the Cashew chicken with Brown Rice. read more

This place is me and my families go to. You can eat in or take out. Their food is amazing! They are a smaller business and the guys who runs it is so nice. We go here for lunch sometimes but, also dinner. They have super good food it always is up to standard for our picky family. They make the food fairly quick not as fast as fast food but, good work takes time. I would 10 out of 10 recommend for quick lunch stops or if you are eating out with your whole family. read more

Treasure. Everything is on point. This isn't just a teriyaki place. They have a pretty extensive menu. I had the orange chicken and chicken fried rice. Might be the best chicken fried rice I've ever had. Loaded with chicken. It comes with a small side salad which has a great dressing. The orange chicken is also exceptional. I have to talk about the presentation. I watched several meals go out and every one of them looked like a magazine advertisement. Simply beautifully presented. This teriyaki restaurant was not good. When we first walked in there was a really overwhelming smell of cigarettes. There were several other groups of people around the restaurant so I thought it might have been one of them. I got their shrimp yakisoba and a side of gyoza. My husband got this chicken, gyoza and beef combo. The gyoza was good and the outside was crunchy but it tasted over cooked. Their yakisoba was just bad. The shrimp tasted so strongly of fish that I couldn't eat it. The noodles of the yakisoba were over cooked and both chewy and sticky. The sauce wasn't very good either... it just tasted off. My husband's dish was much better. While we got more gyoza (yay!) the beef on the plate so dry it was cracked and looked more like beef jerky. it only that but when I went to fast it, all I got was the taste of cigarettes and burnt teriyaki sauce. To all tge people who love this place go try Minami Teriyaki. I used to love this place because unlike minami you can get noodles instead of rice but I just ate there ant got the sweet n sour and teriyaki combo with noodles and the portions have shrunk in half I was so disappointed it didn't fill me or my 100 lb wife up at all so just to make sure I wasn't going crazy we went straight over to minami teriyaki and got the sweet n sour teriyaki combo and it was overwhelmingly more food the chicken was moist and I got a free soft drink where I had to pay 2 extra dollars at ichi 12 for what McDonald's would call a kids size drink. GO TO MINAMI WAY MO BETTER FOOD FOR MOSTLY 2 DOLLARS CHEAPER AND ANOTHER 2 DOLLARS CHEAPER PER MEAL FOR A POP... so disappointed I won't go back read more

Have ate at other Ichi restaurants, thought this was subpar. Got General Tso chicken (as per usual), don't think there was a single piece without gristle, and all the pieces were small and stringy. So we passed on this place the first time we were in Kelso because the reviews weren't that great. We actually stopped by yesterday because we were hungry and in the same shopping plaza. The food was pretty good, better than I expected. The cashier was very friendly. My only disappointment was that the portions were small- or smaller than what I'm used to with my normal teriyaki place near my house- but that place gives out big portions than most places. I walked in at 7pm Tues & it was pretty packed with customers. This was my 1st time so seeing this many customers i figured this place must be pretty good. I ordered the Ichi special for $10.99. It includes teriyaki beef, chicken, pork & prawn tempura. The chicken was very dry, the beef was so so but the pork was pretty good. The tempura was 6 pcs but they were regular shrimp size & they were ok too. I going guess that they precook all their meat because while waiting for my order i noticed there wasn't any scent of meat grilling. Overall since it is a fast food place it is ok. I used to eat here 2 to 3 times a week until recently when I started watching my caloric intake. Was always treated decently. Until today. My friend and I went in to have lunch today. We both work in the building next door. No sooner than we got back to work the man who works behind the counter came over to ask if we had taken the bottle of teriyaki from the table. (Neither of us even used the teriyaki sauce) he shrugged and walked off. He later came in AGAIN, asking the girl at our customer service desk if she could look in the employee fridge to see if we put it there. He told her that when his mom brought us our "to go" boxes it was there and that after we left it was gone. To be clear, she didn't bring us boxes, we got up and got our own from the front counter. So, even though his actions upset me, I thought she must have us confused with another table. So after work I went over to clear this up. I don't like being accused of something I didn't do. He was like "oh, it's ok we weren't accusing you". Really? What does it sound like to you. Coming into my place of employment to get back the bottle of teriyaki sauce that we "took". His actions were very embarrassing for me and what gets me most is that he never offered me an apology. I will NEVER eat there again. I will take the extra 10 mins to drive to Minami's. And trust me the 100's of other employees at my store will hear about this too. All for a bottle of teriyaki sauce that we never even touched. read more

Food is great and plentiful, atmosphere... well it is in a strip mall in Longview. Full marks though because great service, friendly and quick, and the food has resisted the bread-everything and deep-fry it trap. You can get that, but there are also lots of fresh choices, including veggie/tofu yum. read more
