Teriyaki chicken and sweet and sour chicken
Marie F.

First time at Minami and was very surprised by the amount of food, the flavor and how fast they were. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is definitely dated but comfortable. It's small with only about 8-10 tables. Parking lot is a little small, and was hard to get to from main roads. I can tell it's a staple here in Longview and I'm sure I'll be back.

For many years this place was the standard for teriyaki in Longview. It's sad to see the prices drastically raised and the quality gone down. I did not enjoy the last two trips here (June and November). I think I'll be choosing other options from now on.

in this photo is their Wednesday special as well as some of their chicken fried rice from my brother's meal. DELICIOUS!

Food is delicious! service was good, our server was very quiet and soft spoken but I have no complaints. my brother and I got 2 sodas, and 2 meals for around 40 dollars. they give you an amazing amount of food.

If you pull up to the drive thru it literally is a hole in the wall. But this place is delicious I got the chicken teriyaki gyoza special. Was about $15 but it's almost two breasts of chicken, 2 scoops of rice and 4 gyoza. Highly recommend if you need a quick teriyaki fix

Chicken teriyaki with egg rolls (I call them spring rolls).

Best teriyaki in town as far as we're concerned! We even buy extra sauce just to have at the house.

I am not sure. Crab puffs were just awful. And the dip that went with them. Surprised this place isn't in better shape by other reviews

Best teriyaki chicken around. Just as good as it was 20 years ago. I visit here every time I'm in town.

This place smells lime burnt noodles, and the food tastes like it. It SUCKS!! I recommend going somewhere else.

I believe there's been a change of ownership, and it shows…read more Went on a Saturday night. The waiter greeting us was visibly disappointed when we didn't want habachi, just sushi. I felt bad for a minute but then he brought us to a table where the cushions were so blown out that the table was coming almost to our chins. It felt vindictive and I didn't feel bad anymore. Things got even weirder after that. We asked about happy hour and he said you have to be sitting in the bar, we asked to move there. Get to the bar and there's no bartender.......why sit us there? Bizarre. He took our drink order and mocked me for my choices. "OMG, you think whiskey tastes good with sprite? Ew" I honestly didn't know how to respond, I've never had a waiter be so weird. Then instead of making the drinks, he disappeared and didn't come back. Finally had to flag down another waiter who took our order, made the drinks and put in our food order. The food has gone downhill. My spider roll was rolled so poorly I couldn't use chopsticks. Had to use my hands and pray it wouldn't fall apart. Most of it did. Crab tasted old. Prices have also gone completely out of control. There is no happy hour to speak of, 10% off isn't worth anything. And $11 for a Sapporo?!?!?!?!? That costs less than $4 in a store. This restaurant is paying less than that. Absolutely insane. This used to be a favorite spot but we won't be back.

Our chef was super funny and super talented! Being as I made my bones in the culinary world I so enjoy watching my food being prepared in front of me! We both got hibachi for two and the entire meal was succulent and hot! Well prepared and well priced! The atmosphere is what you'd expect of a hibachi joint (I don't mind the noise as we shared tables with some nice people) Overall 10/10, would most definitely come back and would most definitely recommend to family and friends. If you ever find yourself in Kelso I most definitely recommend stopping by if you've the time!

The service was kind and attentive, and the restaurant has a cozy, authentic feel that reminds you of a little spot in Tokyo. While we were there, another customer caused a scene after finishing his meal and then tried to get a refund. The staff stayed calm, professional, and respectful the entire time, which honestly made me appreciate them even more. We'll definitely be back! There is parking on either side of the building, and around the corner up the hill from it, so if one lot doesn't work, there's another. At our table, we ordered a smoothie, the salmon teriyaki, and the chicken/beef combo teriyaki. The salmon came with a side salad. The food was great, very fresh, and very hot. The chicken/beef teriyaki, we realized, was served in a cast iron shovel. Hilarious! What was also super impressive was how quick we were served. I feel like we basically sat down, asked for food, and it was on the table within moments.
