The food is always delicious and the service never fails to be above and beyond! So worth it. And the sushi is sooooo good.

Had not too great of an experience last night and if you have seen my reviews, I tend to always give positive reviews but I cannot think of anything positive last night. There was a very large communication barrier between our waitresses and our family. She didn't understand us and we didn't understand her so it made questions impossible. Thankfully someone came over to help when we experienced an issue. We really never had a "bad" avocado roll ever in our lives until last night. My daughter and I are vegetarians so we always get 2 avocado rolls, one with cream cheese and crunch, and a veggie roll. Let me say they were HORRIBLE!!! The avocado was not ripe (sour and hard). We took all the avocado out of the rolls and had everyone try at the table and discarded the rest. I sent the other 2 back. The waitress couldn't understand what I was saying when I said not ripe/not ready. Someone else came over and explained they just got the avocados and they were all like this. They offered another tempura veggie roll but those the waitress didn't even put in the first place because there was no tempura or sweet potato (and the asparagus was hard and not good). I decided on pad thai which was ok. Spicer than I have ever had and oily but I was starving and pregnant. So when we got the check we expected all of the avocado rolls to be removed but they left two on AND charged for the pad Thai so i had to pay for one disgusting meal and one ok one I didn't want. We of course asked her why she charged it but again, language barrier. My dad said his oysters and meal were good, mom said hers was ok, and my husband so so but everyone agreed the sushi was horrible and it or the pad Thai should have been removed from bill--bad customer service. This is a great place to eat lunch. Always fast, and very courteous. I eat here at least once a week, and have never been disappointed. The sesame chicken, and chicken with cashew nuts are my favorites. read more

Chinese food is essentially a way of life for me - it's a constant craving and I've tried possibly every establishment in Erie's, and I can say without a doubt Chopstix is the best Erie has to offer. The atmosphere is lovely - dark but still warm and inviting. Their wonton soup is by far the best I've had. My fiancé isn't a huge fan of Chinese but loves it here! I placed a 'to go' order and customer service over phone and at pick up was excellent, but disappointed by the food. I wish I had read reviews before ordering - would not recommend the cold spring rolls (not fried), they were stuffed with tasteless noodles and rolled with a gooey wrapper that was too large for content. Texture is important with food. I couldn't swallow first bite ($5) ... Pad Thai was just 'OK,' sauce was watery and lacked flavor. I suspect the sauces are purchased in bulk. Also, there were big chunks of mushrooms mixed in the noodles - which I thought was odd/did nothing for this dish. I love this cuisine because of layers of flavor; Khao Thai (Perry Square) is much better. Bummer. read more

Worse service ever! Let me start saying the food was very good but the service was terrible! I took my husband for lunch today for his birthday at around 2:00. Nobody in the restaurant except for us & 1 other customer. My husband ordered the buffet & I ordered seafood delight. The server took the buffet menu away after hubby put in his first order, then never came back except handing us the bill. Apparently "All you can eat" on the buffet didn't apply today. Plus no more wine?? 4 servers sitting around doing nothing, restaurant empty. I let my feelings known at checkout & just got a lackadaisical shoulder shrug. Stopped on our way back from the finger lakes for lunch..can't beat three rolls soup and salad for 10 dollars...all the rolls where very good super big pieces...the restaurant is very clean very nicely decorated..service was spot on..did order the volcano roll only complaint it fell apart but still tasted good! read more

Went to chopstix just to check it out and compare dishes with other comparible restaurants,Asian king being one.And honestly besides a nice Birthday presentation to a guest there is nothing about chopstix that would make me want to go back.Service was not good,we ordered sushi to start and literally didn't see our server for 15 minutes.Also she didnt seem to know the things i was asking for ie.,crunchy noodles and ended up informing me that they didnt have them once i explained what they were!What Asian/Chinese restaurant does not have crunchy noodles?I also asked if tje scallops were cooked in the sushi and she told me no they were raw! (Can scallops be eaten raw?)i know many types of fish can be, but shellfish? Any way the the shrimp sushi didnt even have enough rice for the entire piece of shrimp and the scallop one had no flavor except very fishy(hope i dont get sick) the other sushi we ordered was spider tempura and philly roll,spider was ok but no flavor except the eel sauce and the philly which i substituted crab for the salmon consisted of just crab and cream cheese(cream cheese was so thick i almost gagged and i love cream cheese) and the fact that the rice was so to very thin i could see the nori wrap right through it and with bare spots.Crab rangoons were ok and again cream cheese just to thick.but i definitely have had better(Asian Kings Amazing crab rangoons with a delicious light enjoyable filling)! My daughter ordered the dragon and phoenix and it was the worst general tsos ive ever tasted and the phoenix was the kind of spicy where it was just to much like they only seasoned it with ref pepper and it had no flavor.She couldnt even eat it! 15 bucks in the trash.Hey maybe sone of you like your food all spice and im fine with spice but without any othet flavor whats the point? If there are vegetables and shrimp i want to taste thise flavors to! Grandson got the sweet and sour shrimp !what a disappointment no flavor and tasted like purified vegetable oil! I got the shrimp mai fun and the plainest meal had more flavor than any of the rest! We go here all the time and loved it but the last two time we were there we went in close to 3:00, 2:59 to be exact. We wanted to get the lunch menu but they said no. Today we did get in before 3:00 but THEY didnt get to us until exactly 3:00 and once again refused to let us order off the lunch menu. Well, this review is about the sister place, Chopsticks Express on 38th and Liberty. Went once with a friend, and food was simply outstanding, and much of it was in the presentation. Simple square white dishes, comfortable surroundings and very flavorful. Great place for an inexpensive and flavorful meal. read more

Great sushi! It was actually my first experience with sushi so i chose one that was cooked (Salmon skin roll) and im glad that i did. I also had the orange chicken, good but not any different than the orange chicken you can get everywhere else. I cant wait to go back to try out more sushi!! read more

Unfriendly staff, sushi was room temperature, take out joints have better quality and flavor, and if you want good Asian food hit up hibachi, it's a half mile from here. I have gone to Chopstix on Buffalo Rd three times already when I am in Erie shopping. It is the most fantastic Chinese Restaurant of all time. The won ton soup is fabulous and to die for. I even order a quart to take home after my meal. I wish all Chinese restaurants could make their won ton soup this great. The broth is perfect. The won tons are thin (not too thick) and easily eatable. I love everything about this restaurant!!!!!! read more

Dined in for lunch, apparently they were in the middle of a name change as the old sign was removed and new one wasn't up until the day after we ate here. Food was absolutely delicious!!!! Nice and clean restaurant. Lots of menu options! Portion sizes were very generous. Again, the food was very yummy. However, the service was not good at all. The waitress literally looked and acted completely lost. She didn't understand anything we were saying and we couldn't understand her either. We had to point to the menu so she knew what we wanted to order and good luck with any requests that weren't clearly marked on the menu so you could point to it. We had to go back to kitchen afterwards to be sure she got our order correct before they made it! Never ever got a drink refill and every attempt to wave down our waitress was ignored and yet she'd walk out to the dining area and walk circles as if she had no clue what her job was. It took a very very long time to even get the food order taken and a very very long time to have food brought out. Perhaps understaffed? I'd order take out next time because the food was great, but not so sure I'd want to attempt to dine in again. read more

Food was absolutely AMAZING tasting. And lunch price for $9.99 is a great deal. Pop was $2.69 however, so that's a bit high, but whatever. The real problem is, you order from a piece of paper with absolutely no images. If you're not 100% familiar with the names off all the Asian food, you're gonna have a bad time. Also, you have no idea of the portion size before ordering, so we ended up wasting a lot of food. The server had to clarify the quantities of the things we ordered (ie: 1 order of Egg Rolls was said to be 2 - came out with 3 though, and Crab Rangoon was 4, despite the quantity ordering being 1). When I eat at an AYCE place, I want very small portions of a lot of different items, that's really impossible here without wasting a TON of food, and obviously you can't take it home with you either. I didn't ask for a dessert menu, and I certainly didn't see one either, but there is no selection of fruit, puddings, desserts from what I could see.
