We were pleasantly seated immediately and a server came to take our order..apparently we were not quick enough to order from the drink menu (for tea)because one question to her and she pointed at the menu and walked away. We literally waited 18 minutes before I got up to FIND someone to take our order. We finally we able to to order our food. Between 2 of us we ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls, 2 kani salad, 2 miso soup,1 avocado salad and 1 gyoza. When she went back to the kitchen we could see her and another female and by their body language it appeared they were talking about us. Greeeeat. Now, getting the food was fairly quick. All tasted fine, however, my plate with the spicy tina smelled like lysol. No kidding!! Straight up cleaning detergent. We could see the sushi chef cleaning his area from our seat from the moment we arrived. The food was not amazing or outstanding.im sure I could have found a more pleasant place to go to. NO ONE came by our table to check on us. NOT once. At 9:45 they started mopping in our area literally mopping us into our booth, wet, slippery, detergent cleaner toxic smell while eating. Greeeeat. So, one thing I didn't mention is that the gyoza never arrived. We waited to see if it would be on the bill. At 10pm the server FINALLY came back, with checks and mentioned she forgot to get to bring us the gyoza and took it off the bill. THEN HAD THE NERVE TO CIRCLE WHERE I SHOULD PUT THE TIP!!! guys.....the food was fine but the SERVE WAS HORRIBLE. And because of that I would not recommend this place. read more

It's a nice venue with ample seating and quick, attentive service. The food here, however, is pretty mediocre and it's the epitome of Americanized Asian food. To be honest, I was not a fan of their food, but quality wise it was edible. I ordered the Thai fried rice with a hint of curry, cashews and pineapple. It was kind of too bland for my taste, but a drizzle of sriracha really helped me push through. My eating companion ordered the Triple delight with stir fried shrimp, beef, chicken and vegetables. It tasted a bit too generic with a soy sauce base. The food came out too quickly, which made me really suspicious. They do have HUGE shrimps though, which I really liked. Overall, the food here was meh according to my taste buds. But, for those new to Asian cuisines, Chopstix is a good place to start because it pretty much has the basics. read more

Had a great meal and really enjoyed my time with friends, till the check came. I tipped the waitress and she came out to ask why I left such a small tip. To her below 25% as she stated was far too low. I asked her if she was shaming me into tipping more, her response was she only makes tips and no hourly pay. So either she is lying or the owners are violating labor law. Would love to know but regardless won't go again. read more

Not only was the service CRAP, but afterwards, after leaving a 15% tip even though service was crap, the server chased after us and said "you need to leave more money". I was confused, and even asked "are you saying we need to give you more?" She goes "you need to leave more" and watched as we left more. Called the manager and all she said was "so sorry". We arrived at 640, for drinks we got the happy hour cocktails but they refused to give us the happy hour price cause it was '7:00'. So service was lacking. Food wise we started with the Lettuce wraps, and while good, it missed so much that Lettuce Wraps are known for. Sister got the curry, which she didnt eat, as ot lacked flavor, Wife got the Chicken Pad Thai, and while the noodles were OK, the chicken was terrible. I went with the Seasame Chicken Bento Box with the Sushi addon. The fried rice was flavorless, the chicken was great and sushi was meh. I can see why people like the Chinese food, but I wouldnt call it the best in the area. 3/5 stars for lack of decent service, food tasting plain, but some parts good. Price was a bit high for Chinese, but not unreasonable. Not worth the trip to Harborcreek for though so most likely wont go back. read more

I've been to Chopstix a few times prior to Yelping and would have originally given 5 stars. I ordered the crab rangoon as an appetizer, it was delicious. Very crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Pairs great with the sweet and sour sauce that's served beside it. For my meal, I just ordered the Erie Roll. It was AMAZING. Spicy tuna, cream cheese, deep fried, and covered in toppings (so many and some that I didn't even know existed)! It was fabulous and definitely a generous serving. The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 today is because the service was so slow considering we were the only ones in the restaurant until we received our entrees. Definitely will return. This is the worst tasting Chinese I've ever had. We ordered $50 worth of food and only the fried rice tasted ok. The clear soup was disgusting, it tasted like dirty dish water, the rock shrimp was soggy and barely looked done, the general tso chicken was just bland, no crisp to it at all. The egg rolls were the worst they, tasted spoiled and smelled foul. The crab rangoons also smelled and tasted spoiled. The sweet and sour chicken was real slimy and mushy inside even though it was golden brown on the outside. My 6 year old wasn't happy with it at all and she loves sweet and sour chicken the most. We seriously just threw it all in the trash as we were afraid of getting sick if we ate it. First and last time customers here. read more

The new all you can eat made-to-order menu is a good value at $12.99 for lunch and $17.99 for an extended dinner menu. The food is fresh and tasty, but the service is hit and miss. There's a 5 piece per person limit on sushi and sashimi with the all-you-can-eat model despite the menu stating otherwise. Great meal, but the service needs to be more consistent. read more

Server was rude when we had a hard time understanding her. She had a very thick accent and slurred her words which made her hard to understand. I overheard her snap at an older man for asking for a "large water." She snapped at him that they had one size and walked off. He didn't know! Chill out! Food was ok. I did a online order which came to over 30.00. I had my GF pick it up, once she got there they never started the food until upon arrival. So they rush our order. They forgot the rice which for the hibachi and the Tokyo roll looked nothing like a roll I've wanted there previous times and wouldn't third together. I call and they couldn't understand a word they kept trying to place another order so at this point my food is cold I get irritated and take the food back. They still had no manager or anyone that could understand me and she kept saying they will remake all the food in ten min. I told her I want my money back and will never eat here again she kept saying I remake food manager not here no refund so I leave the food there and tell them keep the food and the money I used to eat there once a week and referred many customers there read more

Save Your Money This is NOT your typical all-you-can eat buffet.....it is NOT a buffet. It is all cooked to order.......which is fine if you want to spend hours there. If you want soup, salad or sushi.....it apparently is pretty quick........if you ask for something that requires cooking........you will WAIT a good long time for it. Too long. The appetizer and one small portion of an entree we got was nothing spectacular or extraordinary. The house made money on us at $40 for two sodas, appetizer and small entree. We had someone to pick up, so we did not have another hour to wait for another small entree to be cooked. We were there when it was Chopstix and were not impressed. Now that it is Ichiban, we thought we'd try it again........I like to support local business.......but we won't be back. read more

First time to visit. Food was delicious, service was impeccable. They have a good selection of food and drinks, so being able to settle might take time, but that is far from a complaint. I had the Mongolian beef off the lunch menu, and it was awesome! It was recommended by our server, as was the dressing on the side salad. I would definitely recommend and will visit again! read more

My downer day went spiraling upwards as soon as we walked in...the décor is phenomenal and took me away to a different place. Service was outstanding, the food exactly what I needed....for Kevin also. Wonton soup and avocado salad with pineapple sauce....to die for....didn't want to be obnoxious by drinking the whole bowl of sauce. Now, I want to work there. Class act operation. I ate at the recently opened Chopstix East just before Christmas. This is a high end Chinese restaurant; the interior is beautiful, and the furnishings, chairs/tables, tableware are all 1st rate. But the food and service are AWFUL. What was billed as Singapore Noodles (Mai Fun) was not - it was a tasteless stir fry over unseasoned rice noodles. The Eggplant in Garlic Sauce was just undercooked eggplant slices in the standard (terrible) sweet red sause you get with the appitizers.. No Garlic - No Seasoning.... Just Awful. And the service was (likewise) AWFUL. Unfriendly, brusque..... when a cloth napkin fell on the floor, our server would not replace it... (!!!..?!). I have NEVER had such brusque, rude service - everyone there seemed intent on just rushing us out... The food at every lower priced Chinese buffet restaurant in Erie is better than the food at Chopstix. The dinner for two was $35.00 (everything is ala carte) and it was not worth 10% of that. Based upon my experience, I would NOT recommend Chopstix East to anyone. read more
