Went to the new location for the first time not long ago. I took my inlaws because they don't venture out on food much. Our ramen was cold, hardly any flavor took forever. It was absolutely disgusting. I was sooo disappointed because they were so good when they were downtown. Also I had to apologize to my inlaws and tell them I swear its better. read more

This is the very best ramen I've had in my entire life, I got the 1 protein ramen and after tax it ended up being $14.35. (a little pricey but it was really good so I'll excuse it). So with the 1 protein ramen I got the, seafood broth, spicy tonkotsu, regular noddle, shrimp wonton, green onion, sweet corn, seaweed, and egg. I got this to go and it was ready in 7 minutes. My boyfriend and I were seated quickly and our waitress was so nice! We started out with the ichiya bun and can I just say it was so good and flavorful! Had the Jigoku ramen for the main and we shared it because it was a big portion, it was good but could've used more spice and a bit more seasoning. Ended with the strawberry mochi which was delicious! All while watching Naruto on tv (if you're a fan of anime) all in all I would recommend and for the price, you can't beat it! read more

Man, I love this place. I'll say, from the beginning, I'm terrible with the names of stuff. So, forgive me that I don't know what anything I ate was called. First off, I had an appetizer that was basically a spring roll type thing. It came with a sweet chili sauce that was "forget the rolls let's just drink this sauce" good. Next I had a bowl of ramen. The one I had was spicy. Like, seriously spicy. Name started with a "j" that's all I remember. It was absolutely amazing. This ain't the $.10 ramen you get at Kroger. This stuff is top notch with fresh ingredients. This may be a little weird but my favorite part was the soft boiled egg. I could just eat those. But then add on all the veggies and pork and spices... absolutely delicious. If you like ramen, or think you may, then I highly recommend you come here and give it a try. I really don't think you'll be disappointed. It's a little pricey for ramen. But it's worth it because of the great ingredients and service. Give it a try. read more

Ate there for lunch while in town for a meeting. The service was great and very prompt and friendly. She was there when I needed her and was proactive about filling my drink and even providing a togo drink. The ramen was good and was the right amount. I also had the dumplings which she said were homemade and they were good and worth getting. It may not have been the best ramen I have ever had but it was close enough. New to town and wanted some Ramen. This place delivered on all the taste. Like most places the front of the house was a little short staffed but we did not mine as they hurried to seat us. The vibe is low key but very clean. The apps were delish but if I had to I would have gotten the full meal of chicken katsu and skip the app. An unusual side sauce of curry soy was served with my dinner partner's katsu and it was very tasty. A nice lighter version of curry. My other dinner guest had the chicken curry ramen bowl and it was very satisfying! The topper was the burnt cheesecake. Don't let the name fool you, as close to NYC cheesecake as I have had in a long time and reminds me of a better version of my own. Will be back. read more

So I randomly came here on a work lunch while I was spending my time in this new town and my first time in Arkansas, and I intended on going to Rice Box, but my crew decided we wanted a nice sit down restaurant considering everything going on during COVID-19, and boy we were not disappointed! The waitresses were pretty attentive, dressed up on what was ironically Halloween, and quick and assuring to make sure we had the best time possible! Everyone at my table pretty much ordered Tonkotsu Ramen, I got the Black Garlic Tonkotsu and added extra Pork Chashu, and a friend got an order of fried rice, which is HUGE in portion. Overall the food was reasonably priced (8-13 bucks an order) and there's also drinks and happy hour prices and I left full and with extras. Will be back soon! read more

I have been to many good Japanese restaurants in my 65 years of life. This is NOT one of them. The service was much below par and the food was not much better than packaged noodles. My order was place at 11:40AM and it took 1 hour for my food to arrive, people who came in after me received their food before me. read more

Ichiya is amazing, I felt like I was in an episode of Naruto. Our waitress Elayna was very very helpful and knowledgeable of all the menu items. She pointed us in the right direction, as it was the first time we had eaten there. Hubby and I decided to try this new restaurant in town for an early dinner today. Location is very good, on Main Street where the food scene is developing very nicely. It was early for dinner and late for lunch so the place was very quiet. For a while we were the only ones eating. The service was prompt and the menu has a good variety of offerings. It is not gluten free friendly so if that is a necessity for you then you are very limited in choices. We placed our orders and the food was delivered in amazing time, faster than some fast food lines I've waited in! As for the food, it was authentic and very tasty. Hubs had the Tonkotsu with Black Garlic Oil and I had the Chicken Katsu. The chicken was moist and perfectly crunchy. The curry sauce was very tasty (I requested a little more sauce for dipping). Hubby said that his ramen was excellent with a wonderfully flavored broth and perfectly cooked ramen noodles. He was a little disappointed in the pork that topped his soup, saying it was a little over cooked and dry. Overall though the meal was excellent and we will be returning to this place for sure! read more

Most delicious broth and best ramen ever! We liked it so much on the first visit on the way to Alabama that we made a slight detour on the way home just to have ramen again for lunch. First time I had to tonkatsu ramen with black garlic oil and my husband had the brothless ramen. The second visit we had the tonkatsu miso ramen and the jigoku ramen. My husband loves spicy and the jigoku delivered. All dishes were full of flavor. We especially loved the soft boiled egg and slices of pork belly. The staff is also extremely helpful and happy.
