From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere immediately set the tone for a fun and immersive challenge. The lobby was clean, well-organized, and had a cool puzzle-themed vibe that got everyone in the right mindset before we even started the game. One of the highlights of the entire experience was our host, Jamie. She was incredibly welcoming and did a great job explaining the rules and the story behind the room without giving anything away. Sometimes escape room briefings can feel rushed or confusing, but Jamie made everything clear and engaging. She had a really friendly personality and made our group feel comfortable right away. It felt like she genuinely wanted us to have a great time, which made a big difference. The room itself was very well designed. The puzzles were creative and challenging without feeling impossible. I really appreciated that the clues flowed logically from one to the next, so when you solved something it felt rewarding rather than random. There was a good mix of different puzzle types too--some that required careful observation, others that needed teamwork, and a few that really made us stop and think. It kept everyone in our group involved instead of just one person solving everything. Another thing I liked was the level of immersion. The set design and props were high quality and made the whole experience feel like you were actually part of the story. Nothing felt cheap or out of place. You could tell a lot of thought went into creating the environment and making sure the puzzles fit naturally into the theme. Jamie also did a great job monitoring the game and giving hints when we needed them. The hints were helpful but not overly obvious, which is exactly what you want in an escape room. They helped keep the game moving without ruining the challenge. After the game ended, she took the time to talk with us about the puzzles we solved and the ones we struggled with, which was a really nice touch. Overall, Riddlebox delivered a fantastic experience. Between the creative puzzles, immersive room design, and Jamie's excellent hosting, it was a memorable and really fun activity for our group. Whether you're new to escape rooms or someone who has done a lot of them, I would definitely recommend giving Riddlebox a try. The staff clearly care about making sure guests have a great time, and that effort really shows. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying another room

Since it's a small walk-up, it's not physically demanding. There are many places to hide and take cover. The equipment was great. I thought it was awesome that there's a display on the gun that shows stats on how much life you have, how much ammo is left, who shot you, who you show and then at the end of each mission, it shows how many terminations and hits you made and how many ammo you used. The missions are fun and take about 10 minutes each. The ability to re-spawn and the number of ammo you get depends on the mission. A lot of them are unlimited re-spawn and ammo. You have to sign a waiver before you can play. There are free arcade games in the lobby you can play while you wait to go into the arena. They also have a locker area where you can store your valuables while you are in play. You have the option of playing by the hour or by the mission: $30/hour or $15 for 3 missions. There's a Groupon deal that's available which offers 1.5 hours (90 minutes) for about $20/person. This was what we did and it was a great deal. You should call for a reservation ahead of time. Tips: -Call to make a reservation -Wear something comfortable and not too warm since you'll be working up a sweat -Bring a bottle of water to rehydrate after (or they also sell bottle water in the lobby) Location: In a strip mall near Burger King

We really didn't know what we were expecting when we got there. No one else was there, but these 3 girls that were working. We decided to do an hour of play so that we were able to play all the games. We knew it would be 1 on 1, so it wouldn't as much fun with a big group, but still fun. When we walked into the arena, I was wowed. It was so cool. It was like walking onto a movie set! It takes place in part of the haunted house, so it's spooky, dark, flashing lights, props that scare the crap out of you, sporadically thrown about. All while our own Pandora Radio station was blasting in every room. The games were fun, each one lasting around 10 minutes with different objectives. The coolest thing about this was 2 of the girls working joined us so that "it would be more fun for [us]" which was awesome. They played with us for the whole hour and we all had a blast. You can have up to 16 people playing, but honestly I think that's too many and you'll always be on top of each other. Don't have a group larger than 8 and you'll be golden!

It may have been a new employee as a field judge but there was very little direction or description of what was going to happen and even that was delayed enough that the opposing team was killing ours before anyone even left. The sensors for determining if you are hit or not are only on the strap for the gun. This creates quite a few issues when playing any competitive game types. With half walls, corners, or the creative type that can flip over the strap with the sensors on it (and/or hide them under an arm or behind objects) the player can become invincible. Good for those with slightly lower moral values but not exactly a competitive environment. In addition the equipment took about a game and a half for our field judge to figure out; which in a 45 min round where we are only playing 4 games, can be frustrating. Overall I think that the Basement would be a fun escape room and Zombie game but as a competitive laser tag venue, go to Waukesha or Madison WI!!
