On an autumn day, we went out for a short forest walk nearby, and felt like doing something active. We found this place within 30 mins drive from our area, so we wanted to try it out. You need to make a reservation in advance, so they can keep your spot. Especially, they have only one archery lane, so you better check with them first. For axe throwing, there are 8 lanes so should be easier to keep the spot. A scary-looking macho guy was in front, but he was friendly when he started explaining the rules, how to use the bow, and other details. And he was good with those activities. He effortlessly showed us how it's done, and was pretty kind to check on us a while later. We booked the archery lane, and in the end we still had 15 mins left after neither of us could hold the bow anymore. We asked him if we could try axe throwing for a short time, and he agreed to this with a smile. And of course he was great with axes, too. It was very easy to make a reservation, enjoy the activities, and talk with the clerk. We did enjoy the whole time there, and would love to go back in the cold winter time! read more

Stay away. Bought tickets on 5/19 for a 3:15 session and they were closed. Google says that they are temporarily closed. Another review posted 17 days ago with same issue. Business id closed but still taking money on their website. Business needs to be reported for running a scam online. read more

Got there to find closed. The Yelp and their own website displays it open on Wednesday. We had drove a half hour for a birthday request for axe throwing. We emded up driving out to downtown Plainfield to Legendary Escape Rooms for axe throwing. Master Axe fix your hours on your website. read more

We were a group of 7, everyone enjoyed the axe throwing and the guy on duty explained how to throw the axe clearly. This post is not about the throwing lanes etc, it is about how dirty the front of the place is allowed to be. Front windows are full of cobwebs with dead bugs stuck in the mess. Same for the corners of the floors, cobwebs galore. It is understandable that the sawdust from the plywood is scattered around, & I am not objecting to that. Perhaps the employees could get off their phones and sweep and maybe windex the filthy windows.. read more

Who doesn't want to throw an axe? This was good family fun. With basic instruction, we (well, most of us) became adept at throwing and did well with no safety issues. We where left to ourselves and we're not scored at for our occasional very bad throws. Fun with no judgement and no one over your shoulder all the time. The front door guy was unfriendly and not professional. This is the guy with a beard and a hat who works friday nights. I got on the waitlist and came around 5:00pm and he just looked at me when I walked in, not even a 'hey guys welcome to Master Axe'. I can't wait for the day for these types of workers to be replaced/automated by a touch screen. I hope you get fired sir, it will probably be the best thing that's ever happened to you. read more

Their ax throwing lanes are nicely setup, but they seem shorter than most axe throwing lanes I've been to. Archery was off the chain fun, though lots of broken arrows and shabby janky bows. Still fun though no games were taught as most axe throwing places have games to be played somehow. Gets some extra for being in Bolingbrook Promenade near Prince Arcades, Tanaka Ramen, and Bon Chan, etc etc. read more

Went there on 17 December Brenden & Nick were so friendly and helpful!! We went for the short range archery, we were instructed about the safety and ease of the bows and arrows, and they were very polite and helpful. Great service and I would highly encourage everyone to try this experience, I wish there were more available options for archery. I highly recommend making reservations because there is only one station for archery. I've been here for axe throwing as well, and the staff is very friendly and polite. Great Experiences for both. Lotta fun! Pretty laid back. Plenty of beverages - canned beers but good ones and good selection - glass and axes? Surprisingly not such a good idea. Good food. It's actually more fun than I expected. I couldn't hit a bull in the butt two handed overhead but one handed I couldn't miss. Lots of tv screens so we watched college basketball conf tournament and threw axes and ate, drank, and engaged in the lively art. We were there about 8:00 Friday night and it wasn't overcrowded. If you've never given this a whirl, try it. You'll have a great time. Nice place. read more
